It is slid all the way forward. The front of the bed is there. They built the front wall off the camper straight up and down, without a notch to go over the front bed rail. I hope I explained it well.
This slide-in is awesome. I’ve watched countless videos featuring the toppers and slide-in and was wondering if they work well on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Duramax? I ask because most videos have either Toyota or Ram model trucks only. I am really interested in getting a slide-in Hawk series but my truck isn’t a 4x4 so I don’t know if it would be possible for me!?
Depends on which FWC, and the actual GVWR of your vehicle. I see too many RUclips vids of Hawks in vehicles that put them over weight. The average Hawk package is ~1460# dry, and people are putting them on Tundra's and Ram Powerwagons, both of which have mid 1500# payloads. Weigh your truck with a full tank, and subtract from the GVWR to get the true payload. The FWC - Raven is a good choice for ½ ton trucks.
Whoa, this packs quite a bit in so little space. One question is this. How do you load an unload this camper? How many gallons of water does this hold?
The camper has internal tie downs inside the bed. Those are accessed from inside the camper. There are four turnbuckles that are undone. On the outside, you attach the camper jacks, raise the camper, and drive out. Camper holds 20 gallons of water
Awesome video as always AVO Crew.
Glad you enjoyed it
I am wondering why not slide the camper all the way in ? After watching several videos seems like some do some don't, so my favorite is the hawk!

Don't forget to join us for the GRAND OPENING at AVO Jax coming up on August 12th! Head over to our website for more info 👍
Nice rig, good video I'll give it a like. I'm not big on lithium batteries, they seem prone to catch fire.
Nice presentation
Thank you 👍
great video. If you use the indoor shower, where does the water go? Does it have a gray water tank?
Great question! We actually used our indoor shower and it worked great! There is a water drain below the platform that you stand on in the shower.

Yes! The FWC slide ins work great in the Chevrolets half tons as well. Please let us know if you'd like to hop on a call with our team to discuss.

Will adding a slide in camper to a truck without a camper package void the trucks warranty? Anyone, anyone....?
Is that the 6.5 bed ?
@@marcdaigle6798 yes it is 👍
Are you still selling OEV as well or switching over to FWC?
We have switched over to FWC. 👍
@@ashevillevehicleoutfitters1201 Just curious but any reason for the switch?
