    Good afternoon Nigel. Great review up to now and I'm sure you will give it a full honest review after a growing season as you always do. Unfortunately they are way out of my price range even with your discount.
    Pouring down here in yorkshire so a good opportunity to catch up with you on you tube.👍

    They have a load of new designs now - some weird and wonderful shapes!
    I used the powerdriver on the nut side for fear of cam-out and scratching the surface of the bed.

    • @MuddyBootz
      @MuddyBootz  11 месяцев назад +1

      I didnt use the driver after all. The bolt length is quite short so once it was finger tight all it took was a nip up with the spanner supplied. 👍

    Hello Nigel.
    Nice gift. Using for Raspberries, you will not have the problem of them spreading. Excellent demonstration.
    Take care, keep safe and keep smiling. Cheers. Pete.

    Hello mate, that’s a good review on them. They look good quality and if you were at the bottom like you say hopefully it’s Dr pesky mole. And finally you will get some asparagus. If you need any of that black community Compost let me know when we can arrange something to get you some. It’s nice and cheap it’s only £4 a ton. And that will more than fill your bed. All the best Nic 👍

      Cheers for the offer mate. That is cheap and you could fill a few beds with that much 😊👍🏻

    Quite amazing...looks like built to last forever! Lovely! Think my next set will be a raised bed at waist level. Better for my health if I am able to keep up a garden. Wonderful! Bruce and Otis

    That’s a great raised bed. I’m putting two together as I watch this video.

    I have one of these for my raspberries, I'm impressed by it and the height really helps. I had found that the supports across the structure will bend slightly as the soil sinks over time, I have put some wooden blocks under those supports on my newest bed, hopefully that will give support while the soil settles and will then rot.
    Good video Nigel.

    Hi Nigel we like the hight as just about right , colour would like a darker green personally and have seen others fill them with plenty of free materials before the good compost.

    I have a number of similar Birdies raised beds. I have constructed them according to where they were going and what I wanted to use them for. I have no DIY skills but the information supplied was clear and easy to follow. I found them easy to put together. Mine don’t have a bracing bar, I think earlier ones did. There hasn’t been any bowing and I love them. I probably can’t fit anymore at home and have decided that I don’t want to make that investment at the allotment, but I could change my mind!

      Just had a quick look. The Vegega look to be more expensive.

      I have not checked other prices. There are discount codes on the net including 10% on my video. Shipping is also included on these beds. Is that the same with the other ones you have?

      Hello Steven. The initial outlay can appear high. The quoted life span is 20+ years, which then doesn’t seem to bad Ideal also to use on hard surfaces and less bending 😊👍🏻

    These are excellant looking, but it depends how good the coating is at preventing rust.
    This reminds me of the beds my Grandad made in the the 1950s, from his corrugated air raid shelter.

      Having compost bays, I will fill them at no cost. We have a good supply of woodchip and horse manure which will make up the bulk.

    600 litres so about 75 quid in compost to fill a 200 quid planter. Pass

    • @MuddyBootz
      @MuddyBootz  11 месяцев назад +2

      You cost at £275 total… over 20 years. I can spend £275 in petrol for my car and that probably lasts only 2 months… it is all relative.
      I would never waste money totally filling a bed with expensive shop bought compost. After 2-3 months it will be totally void of food and humus. Instead I will fill probably 70% with woodchip and horse manure. The remaining 180ltr will be made up of spent potato compost so cost for me £0 😊
