Jonny Davy is a total class act, both of these interviewers were pretty tough to watch. One guy even got the band name wrong for Christsake! He took it like a champ and kept the interview moving. I have a lot of respect for this guy.
@@pogo8050 it fit them when it was more of a “scene kid” type of band when just Doom was out. They quickly evolved into a straight up death metal band and they had to keep the name cuz that’s what people knew them by.
I take full credit for not doing the best job I could have fun. But, in hindsight - Jonny rolled with it - and it was perhaps the 1 interview that gave me the most laughs! After the interview - we laughed about the whole thing together. This is real life - and in real life - shit happens. Thankfully he and I were both cool about it - and that's why he insisted that I don't edit it to make it look professional! He really loved the TRUE nature of how it all went down! Welcome to LIFE!
This dude is a good friend of mine. Worked with him for 4 years at my last job. Incredibly intelligent person, easy to talk to, just an overall great guy.
Would you tell him Matt from Idaho says hi and please don't give out yalls private information, I have the dudes entire discography and love his music big time but even then as a fan I want his privacy to be respected
Lol I'm not going to say where I worked with him. I don't know if JFAC is going to put out new stuff... It's not a subject we talked about much... Didn't wanna come across like a fanboy or something even tho I of course love JFAC. All I'll say is that he works in the same state he was raised in and he's in the IT field
@@TheAbstract9000 of course I didn’t expect you to get too personal with his info, more so just meant what state. That’s cool af knowing he’s kept it simple by staying at home, (assuming AZ). Very humble of him. Here’s to hoping we get blessed with some new JFAC one day!
I thought the name Job for a Cowboy was just a parable for being a metal band. In this society a Cowboy is an outlaw, and metal is more outlawed music than anything in the world.
Did you even know anything about them before doing this interview? This is fucking hilarious LOL. I'm so glad he told you not to cut it. I've talked to Jon 3 times in my life and every time he was such a cool guy. Very down to earth and witty. 09:28 killed my sides. Such an awesome human being.
Jono Knight Not metal, but there is "Lordvessel" by Tanooki Suit, which is an incredible song. You should check that out. I'd give you a link to it but this isn't my video and it will get marked as spam. Give it a look see!
This is great. Every time somebody asks what's the dumbest video on the internet, I link this. The ammount of groundwork this interview has behind it, can not be measured in time. Death of a Cowboy... Cowboy theme... Interviewer likes to annoy people with "the growl". This is... just... And that Metal Marion lady. She sounds just about as genuine as as a newscaster. When she said "It's an HONEST social commentary..." I was just... Wow... That didn't sound scripted at all.. It's cool though, that she did know how to read the press release.. And Jonny's face every time she spoke, was priceless. He had that "is this girl serious?"-expression. And you didn't even get the sarcasm "don't edit this". I mean no offence... This is just... It's unbelievable.. Thank you for making this.
Holy crap man! That is truly painful. You have god like patience. I have no idea how you can put up with that, but if that is what it takes to rise to the top then more power to you. You guys rock!
saw them mayhem 2013 in Dallas! it was awesome! they slayed it! killed me how he kept taking tugs off that bottle of whisky every time he wasn't singing lol
A quick question. Who is the new drummer? Because if you go to the wikipedia it shows me some guy named Chad Cortez is the new drummer. I want to be sure. How ever when i look him up on google it shows me nothing about him. So i want to know is it true or false? Because in wikipedia you can edit, And put fake information
Oh wow, I go to Evil Dave too! The dude is a magician. However, the shop changed location and name to "Numinous Modification" on like 19th ave and Thunderbird... If anyone was wondering.
Yeah I love the band's name too. I don't know but I think that was one of the reasons I chose this band to listen to out of all the other Death Metal bands on the wikipedia page
woooow jon davy gooot biiiig, as in weight, I remember when doom first came out he was a twig. sooo awesome to see wee lil bands grow up. :D also he handled this interview like a champion, death of a cowboy
Not to be rude here, but I was picking up some irritance in this interview. I can tell he was just trying to stay nice though. I know someone who's the exact way actually, as in tries to stay nice even when you're bugging him, and Jonny came off a little bit irritated in some parts.
Probably depends on what you consider to be a "good interviewer", she definitely appears well informed and a lot more professional than the tone king dude, however comes across a little less spontaneous because of that maybe.
dont use headphones... the audio keeps fading from the left and right headphones to just the left headphone constantly... WAS THIS MEANT TO FUCK WITH US ADD/ADHD PEOPLES? THIS IS DISTRERCTING >.< hold on i need to pop my ears
Jonny Davy is a total class act, both of these interviewers were pretty tough to watch. One guy even got the band name wrong for Christsake! He took it like a champ and kept the interview moving. I have a lot of respect for this guy.
ps,even though it wasn't perfect keep doing your thing Tone King I look forward to seeing more from you.
skiddish813
Jon Davy is fucking fantastic, these interviewers... are not.
His first thought was "damn why didnt we call it death of a cowboy?!" Haha
Job For A Cowboy is one of my favorite band names.
Hell yeah. Name is legit.
Same I absolutely love that name
The name does not sound like what they play tho lol
@@pogo8050 it fit them when it was more of a “scene kid” type of band when just Doom was out. They quickly evolved into a straight up death metal band and they had to keep the name cuz that’s what people knew them by.
Man he is looking at the camera like that on purpose its hilarious

"I drink whiskey then yell in a microphone" lol I like this guy
Handled the goofy misinformed questions like a pro
Her voice makes me want to break my laptop and gouge out my eardrums.
This dude is a good friend of mine. Worked with him for 4 years at my last job. Incredibly intelligent person, easy to talk to, just an overall great guy.
Lucky!! Tell him to pump out some more singles or something his talent is unreal
just curious but where were yall working at ? lol

5:41 "Tell me about the cowboy theme" oh man i fucking lost it
"Tell me about the name death for a cowboy"
*awkward small talk*
"Just tell me about the cowboy theme"
I thought the name Job for a Cowboy was just a parable for being a metal band. In this society a Cowboy is an outlaw, and metal is more outlawed music than anything in the world.
the way he stares into the camera 4:26
Jon told them to keep rolling for our enjoyment. Because he didn’t want the watchers to miss his trolling.
Thank you Jon
"leave it as is, people will like it way better." You're damn right! Hahahaha
i wasn't aware bill belichick was an interviewer during the off-season
Death of a Cowboy killed me 😂😂😂 and his whole mimic speak words❤
"I drink whiskey and yell into a microphone." Fucking Jonny Davy, everyone. God, I need this band back in my life. Like...NEW JFAC.
LPDarkSoulsHD now we just need to get them to sing a song inspired by dark souls aye
Jono Knight They could do it. Very talented song writers. I'm with ya.
LPDarkSoulsHD it would be so awesome, do u know of any metal bands that have done so yet?
Jono Knight Not metal, but there is "Lordvessel" by Tanooki Suit, which is an incredible song. You should check that out. I'd give you a link to it but this isn't my video and it will get marked as spam. Give it a look see!
LPDarkSoulsHD sweet man cheers, i just googled it and a band called soulmass came up so ima check them out also
The way jonny just stares at the camera!! 😂🤣😂🤣 Dude cracks me up!!
Good job pushing through an interview that might not have flowed, but was interesting and both of you hung in there.
He's going to edit that clip by editing it into the front and then he's going to call it unedited 🤔🤔🤔🤔
This is so fucking great.. I watch interviews all day and this is the best.
Lmao god damn. Jonny Davy handled this well hahaha
I think "Job for a Cowboy" Is a dope name. I guess after hearing it for ten years you would get tired of it though.
love this unedited Jon. He seems like a chill out type of guy.
Should have asked what his mom thinks of his music!
How can you not like this guy!?
"Even though it's the last song on the record, it's still one of my favourites" what?
MyThelema ikr lol
Closing tracks don't go at the end of albums because they suck, they go there because they work better there than anywhere else in the album...

They didnt even cut that awkward slow death of the interview at the end haha
LMAO, dude I love the sarcasm.
Do these interviewers even listen to metal, or are they undercover for a different genre gathering intel? 😂😂 Wonderful video
I fucking love Jon he's such a smartass during this interview he's fucking hilarious.
The only thing that is awkward about this is the interviewer talking to Johnny like a puppy.
These are like questions a kid would ask if they were conducting an interview.
What does the ink do for your tone?
lol I just watched this again it is hilarious
man I miss borderlands now..... I'm going to play borderlands.... great job Johnny. hilarious. wish I had seen this sooner
This interview is freaking incredibly awesome.
The attempted handshake at 16:15 cracked me up.
NO JOB FOR THESE INTERVIEWERS
This is amazing.
Damn, Jonnys a saint. That was hard to watch. Those questions were soooo bad.
A quick question. Who is the new drummer?

that first interviewer girl looked like moxxi from borderlands
MrMesakillyou I’d smash lol
I’d pee on her
"What makes a Death Metal band Death Metal?" lmao
the audio keeps switching from left to right
lol, his face when Metal Marion Ends and The Tone King stars.
Yeah I love the band's name too. I don't know but I think that was one of the reasons I chose this band to listen to out of all the other Death Metal bands on the wikipedia page
This is one righteous dude. Love it
i have a feeling that he just told him to not edit it so he could make a mockery of this guy to the internet haha
This feels weird to listen to with headphones, sound keeps moving left and right.
haha that was a pretty great interview!
death job kinda the same thing. . . AGREED! Loved that part.
Yes, so, DEFINE THE GENRE!
Funny as fuck!
I wanna see them Job For A Cowboy again
woooow jon davy gooot biiiig, as in weight, I remember when doom first came out he was a twig. sooo awesome to see wee lil bands grow up. :D also he handled this interview like a champion, death of a cowboy
the tone king is just a nice guy that reviews guitars and gear he tries to go outside his comfort zone either way awkward can be interesting
20 years strong
I love the bands name, the interview was kind of awkward but he was cool and I just brought the new album, guys get better at interviewing
Not to be rude here, but I was picking up some irritance in this interview. I can tell he was just trying to stay nice though. I know someone who's the exact way actually, as in tries to stay nice even when you're bugging him, and Jonny came off a little bit irritated in some parts.
THIS IS FUCKING HILARIOUS. LOLOLOLLOL
THIS GIRL IS SO KEWT LIKE. omgggg....
more noticable is how the fuck does jonny keep a straight face???
They have to tour with Ensiferum
5 minutes after the interview on the JFAC bus: "I had just had the weirdest fucking interview..."
I cant help but assume that this interview was 'intentionally' awkward!
10:34 - Recipe for SUCCESS =3
Jonny is such a real as fuck guy and I love it
in the words of Colt Cabana
"It's a keeper!"
Fuckin best Band (People) EVER.
Now that I realized.. Jonny's kinda looked like Seth Rollins...
I thought I was the only one lmfao. I tweeted a photo of him to seth today. See what he thinks.
I would really want to know how he will react to that too..
Have you ever seen them together?
Jon is thinking, This girl needs to smoke weed or something. This girl is not a good interviewer
she's so annoying ;d
Probably depends on what you consider to be a "good interviewer", she definitely appears well informed and a lot more professional than the tone king dude, however comes across a little less spontaneous because of that maybe.
I’d slap that microphone out his hand for being awkward to me
For someone who isnt used to that kind of music...heavy...music oh my fucking god this is hilarious
I don't like job for a cowboy but this interview was fun and entertaining. Keep it up tome king and whoever says Jonny wasn't a dick just being goofy.
It's not awkward, Jonny was nice to the guy.
Job for a Cowboy always ends up in awkward interviews
he shook his hand four fucking times!
When did Rafi take a shower?
Who is this Tone King everyone is talking about ?
hahahahaa
4 handshakes...a little awekward I would say!
Good choice Jonny…..good choice.
