- Car Runs Railroad Crossing Gates With Train Coming, Man Races Train Over The Crossing In Front Of CSX Freight Train, Train With Caboose & Locomotive Running Long Hood Forward, Train Knocks Down The Signal & Norfolk Southern Intermodal Train, Trains In Hamilton, Ohio. Hamilton Train Depot Update Included.
I went to my favorite railroad crossing of Heaton Street in Hamilton, Ohio. This is the CSX Toledo Sub that Norfolk Southern Railroad also uses. We see a couple of the usual railroad crossing gate runners and we see a guy run across with a CSX northbound train approaching. There are 5 trains in this video and 4 of them are seen at this crossing. One of the trains is a CSX local switcher with a caboose. That was pretty cool.
We also have a look at the Hamilton Depot. Not much has happened since my last visit except the roof is finally getting some attention. The roof is in terrible shape with severe leaks.
After we look at the depot I show a railroad crossing near the depot that used to have a track cross it as a connection from the CSX to the NS line. It was removed years ago but you can still see where it crossed the road and winded around an old building. The crossing gate on that side is set back further from the track than it normally would since it was placed there for the old track that is now gone.
The final train is a CSX mixed freight that we can see knock down the signal. That is of course, railroad jargon that means the light drops from green to red as the train passes the signal.
Don't miss the Live Action Pets and the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Woa! He could of fell! You probably would have edited out!😬. .i saw?a caboose! And a Grex! Great catches JT..then the end with the 2 cheesedogs!🤣😋🐶🧀🐕 and the black panther brushing up against him was AWSOME!!🐈⬛❤🐕 great cuddlecatch👍 have a safe blessed week🌎🎛🐈🏈⚾️
A friend of mine was filming a train in Carlisle and a girl fell in front of the train. He could not post that on here because of terms of service
@@JawTooth omygosh ..im sorry he witnessed that..then your friend telling you also . Thanks for the reply.. be safe
@@scott2726 Yes, he showed me the video on his camera and it was pretty bad. The train was going about 45. He wouldn't post something like that and it wouldn't be allowed anyway. It happened at a spot that we Railfan a lot, a very popular area
Very cool JT, At least my Cold is getting better.
Right on que for the Runner.
Never ceases to amaze me the size of some of these trains, very impressive.
The closest we get are cross Country here in Australia and up I. The far north of awestern Australia which is where you will only find true American Muscle Power on the Big Iron Ores trains.
You think about the Infrastructure around and you really have to admire the track Maintenance Guys and Girls, What Great work they do.
Liked the little caboose....
Who was that goose running across that train....
Always plenty of action on your programs and so much it, All kinds of Great little Carnivals, Great Town Fares, (Same thing I guess), Some Really Cool Live Music at times and "Fantastic Trains" Really makes it a Standout Show...
Cheers.
John
It ALWAYS counts as a "runner" if the RED lights are flashing. In terms of vehicular traffic law, a RED light is a RED light whether Flashing or Steady‼Good video, JT👍🏽
Thanks for the info and Thanks for watching my video!
Dogs will do anything for cheese! Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Thanks for watching my video!
Boston&Maine car was a great catch! And another one!
The engine pulling the caboose was awsome. I still remember the days when a caboose was very common.
That not so smart guy who ran right in front of the train must have a death wish. 😮
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night.
Thanks, you too! It was raining here this morning and we need it
@@JawTooth Yes we do, Brian, and you're very welcome.
Great to see some more work on the Depot move! Great catches as always Jawtooth!👍
Thank you very much!
You always have great videos. I never get tired of watching 😊 !
Wow, thank you!
Nice job catching those trains jaw tooth have fun railfanning be safe out there while doing it please
Morning everyone I thought it would be Heaton Street It never fails for runners! 😮 one of these days JT. 4 wheel runners & 2 legged runners, busy crossing. Fab seeing spongebob & caboose just a good as seeing a long train. Entertaining as always JT.,thank you. ❤😊👍
Doesn't get any simpler than that - 1 engine and 1 caboose! Now that's very cool :)
Thanks for watching!
Hey Jaw Tooth it's about 5pm. Here on The West Side. We have a Chemical Leak from a Tanker Car which Contained Styrene Located on Rt. 128 and 50! Apparently a Valve opened up but now it's Closed and They Evacuated up to 5 Miles for Safety Reasons. No one can Go Home.
Brian great video as always loved seeing the caboose 😊 also love seeing your pets to
Thanks 👍
The deadhead crummy move was the best part. Thanks JT !
Thanks for watching my video!
As usual, a great epiode!
I see Jay Leno's new episode is Big Boy 4014!
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨✨👍
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth You're welcome. Have a great day!
Brilliant Brian the power of those beasts is incredible, nice video thanks mate.👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you for going back to Hamilton, Ohio to railfan on 17 September 2024, Jaw Tooth! I enjoyed watching the trains and the pedestrian and vehicle runners at the Heaton Street Crossing. The pedestrian running across the tracks must have been in a hurry to get somewhere. Thank you for the update on the Hamilton depot. It is wonderful to see that they are finally doing some repair work to the roof of the depot. I hope that they are going to do more work on the depot. (Posted on 24 September 2024 at 1221 CDT.)
Yeah don't know why the guy decided jot to wait and enjoy the live action like Jaw Tooth did! Amazing footage Brian as always.
Superb seeing the Caboose & Loco.
I thought that was cool also. Thanks for watching
Thanks as always for the videos. Thanks in particular showing us where old railroad spurs and tracks went. History of an area always of interest.
Well...somebody has to say it..."Run Forest, run!"
Thanks for watching my video!
Caboose and non graffiti box car. Awesome.
good afternoon I enjoyed that video👍👍
Wow you caught all kinds of live action in this video Brian.
One engine & one caboose is a rare site. Awesome catch JT. 🚂 😎 👍
WHERE'S THE CABOOSE?
@carolrose3367 the second train. It was just one engine & a caboose. No railcars between them.
Looks like Heaton Street had a little grade crossing resurfacing.
Let's the runners go faster over the tracks. LOL!
That 'runner on foot' is a total looser, in my opinion.
So wonderful to see the station is getting the TLC she has earned. I know you will keep us posted, so thank you in advance.
Safe travels and happy rails to you!!
Thanks for watching my video!
Remember Mr JT those people be the first one to scream lawsuit in a court of law cuz they put their own life in jeopardy and there's no one there to stop him from doing that
Thanks for featuring the old B&M hopper. My Grandfather worked for them as a conductor.
Wow lots of action in Hamilton. We are headed away from the beach for a few days. Ohio is supposed to get some rain from our hurricane. Thanks for the great video JT. Hi to Chessie and Norfie. ❤
Awesome catch of the caboose.
Thank you very much!
Good morning my friend, I hope you had a good weekend. Are you going anywhere different this week? If so be safe and have a good week🙏🏻🇺🇸
I knew when you did your intro that without a doubt there would be runners. That idiot guy really describes the meaning of a RUNNER. Great video Brian.👍👍
It's better to lose a few minutes in your life than to lose your life in a few minutes.
@@KevinRichards-my5oj SO TRUE👍
@@russelltrupia4479 & what's more stupid & dangerous is that's a multiple track crossing. That clown was lucky another train wasn't coming on that last track he crossed because that oncoming train blocked the view of that last track from the other side.
Wow! 3 Boston & Maine covered hoppers in one train! They’re at least 40 years old!
Thanks for watching my video!
Alot of train action at this site
Great catches and awesome video
Looks like they put a caboose body and steps on the chassis of another car! Cool catch!
The second train was short but it was super cool!! 😎
Thanks for watching my video!
Our favorite place too
Hamilton their all in a big hurry to go nowhere great freight as always great thank you very much Brian 😊
Our pleasure!
Good Morning. Hamilton has lots of trains.
Morning! I wish that depot would get some work done
I hear you.
Good morning great video
Morning!
That dude ran out in front of that third train. Unbelievable what an idiot.
Yep did not have the patience to wait and missed out on live action!
Come on man don't try running to beat the train!
Thank You Jaw Tooth
Awesome power JT thanks for another awesome video 📹 greetings from Scotland Sir 😊
Thanks for watching!
@@JawTooth Thanks JT your most welcome 😊
Good morning Jaw Tooth
Great 👌 👏 freight train 🚆 video 📹 bud, different types of freight very cool 😎 👍, the lad who ran across in front of train jackass 🙈🙈🙈, it looks a bit worse for wear around there, any signs of regeneration happening? awesome captures 👍
Thanks 👍 Yes, they are going to build a couple new motels downtown a block south
@@JawTooth oh cool 😎 👌
@@trevorcooke8129 The city also owns the vacant lot by the tracks where the mill was. Not sure what the plans are there
It's been a few weeks since I've been able to take the time to watch your videos. I apologize for that. I do my best to watch your videos every day. They're enjoyable to watch, and it helps your channel, I know. Dang, you have a knack for calling out runners when it appears that none are around. What that young man did by running across the track when the crossing gates were down and the train was almost to the crossing was really stupid. Even if he were in the best physical condition (which he clearly wasn't) and there were no visible obstacles, he didn't take into consideration something unforeseen that could cause him to stumble and fall right on the tracks. NOT TOO BRIGHT.
When you walked over to show where the track used to go around that building and tie into the old B&O line across the road (which was really cool), I noticed a lot of old buildings in the distance around the area. Some were brick buildings, others appeared to be very old wood frame homes, and in the near distance I saw a pair of "steeples". Would you ever consider doing a non-railfan video (or extra channel) where you show some of the old buildings around the towns that you visit. I notice some very interesting, very old buildings in almost all of your videos when you travel to other towns and cities. There are even some fascinating buildings in your immediate area along the CCET line. Over the months and years that I have watched your videos, I have noticed that some of the buildings are no longer there, which is sad - like the recent old paper mill fire in Hamilton, the old depot that burned down not to long ago, the Deshler train station, and some other buildings that you haven't mentioned that I have noticed in the background of other videos. Many of the beautiful old buildings in the background of videos that you shoot, like in Hamilton, Glendale, and other places, are still standing. It would be cool if you could possibly do some videos where you just feature and focus on some of the old houses and other very old structures that are seen in your videos. Who knows how long they will be there, and nobody will know the history. They'll just be forgotten.
Just a thought.
Oh, watching Chessie and Loki having some spray cheese as a treat was fun to watch! ☺
Great video, Jaw Tooth!
God bless you and your family beyond imagination in Jesus' name.
Somebody needs to tell gate runners that we only get so many passes in life. It's not worth throwing your passes away on something like this.
MY HOME TOWN....2 BROTHERS WORKED FOR B&O.
Thanks for watching my video!
Great catches jaw 👍🏻😎 Robin out.
Thanks for watching!
My two favorite trains CSX & NS
Thanks for watching my video!
Always plenty of train action in Hamilton may sound OCD and may just b camera angle but that gate at first of video looks at a angle to tracks good thing that guy didn't trip running across track
Rise and shine runners hahahahahaha!!!!😂😂😂 jk!!!btw i just notice it looks like the railroad xing had just a new asphalt concrete!!!!much love sir jt!!!keep safe always!!!!😊🫰❤
I have a theory that cars that get parked on lonely sidings waiting for a load get tagged easily. But cars that get parked in yards or industry and high security places like fuel depots rarely get paint on them.
I love graffiti, some of it, where appropriate. On freight cars, it's cool to see that the reporting marks aren't covered up by most taggers...
Love your dogs they are cute
Thanks for watching!
Hey jaw tooth awesome trains. Loved the caboose hop. Gotta wonder about the car and tiolet user running in front of train. Do they try to hold it in so they don't have to stop and use bathroom.? Just my way of thinking of people. 🤷🤷. Glad to see they slowly fixing depot. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
Nice catches as always.
Thank you very much!
Awesome video keep up with a great work and be safe out there.
Thanks for your comments and thanks for watching my videos!
Grex look so Cool👍
Awesome video
Thanks!
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
I like your videos 😍
The railroad really should invest in adding cameras on their signals to catch people going through those gates and give them a 500.00 fine.
Thanks for watching my video!
Amazing video. Have a nice day 😊🌈
Thank you! You too!
People are crazy. If you know what the old industrial buildings next to the tracks are, or were, it might be helpful for modelers. Especially if they used to have a RR siding. Thanks!
If that guy stumbled and fell, track fodder
For sure. Thanks for watching my video!
Nice footage of NS and CSX, that Man was playing a deadly game, if someone were to trip it would not be good!🛤🚂
You got that right!
Good morning jaw tooth how r u doing today been watching u for like 7 yrs love the video keep it up. 👍
Good morning! I am doing fine thanks. I hope you are also
Yep I am glad u doing good

Does the cat like spray cheese too?
Alot of boxcars and gondolas
No DPUs today.
Forgot one thing J.T. I know you can't be more than 25 years old . I'm so old that I very clearly can remember the auto racks with no siding on them and you could see the new cars . Thanks J.T.
Had he tripped and fallen he wouldn't be half the man he used to be a moment ago.
Dangerous chemical leak from a r.r. tanker car in Hamilton Co.
When you said Hamilton, I started looking for runners😂Really good vid! Love the Cheese Whiz!
Pedestrian runner...What an idjit!
People and the Darwin Awards contenders.
Hey JT, you should try Terre Haute, IN - lots of trains roll through there
I almost went there went I was coming back from Illinois
Nice long manifest 13:40
Boy, the ground clearance on those intermodal cars at crossings look really low.
What's up J.T. love those cabooses.i really never saw those kind on the new york central. Mostly bay windows. I'd love to know where the cars get all the graffiti. It's not happening in the Collinwood yard . Great video. Thanks
Thanks for watching my video!
Good track and no flats grateful I heard!
Jawtooth watch the Jay Leno Garage he did one on the Big Boy pretty cool special.
Well it’s Hamilton Ohio people in that town

What's in store for us today Brian? 73 from Maine!
Wow.. Ya can't fix stupid. He'll have his name in the paper obit section if he keeps that up.
I hope you're never caught up in the middle of something like that..
Good morning Jon and I not also
Looks like most Hamilton Ohio folks have won a few grand at Las Vegas
Thanks for watching my video!
Anytime. One of the most wholesome railfanning channels out there next to Distant Signal
you should repost the video you did at that location wit the guy in the chevy Caprise station wagon smoking the back tires and making a U-turn because the gates were going down.
Yes, that was a cool one! lol, I could do a compilation video
@@JawTooth as a fan then i say go for it
Never cross the tracks when the gate is down
Welp. If he tripped he would've made you famous
Only thing is I could not have posted it due to YT terms of service. A friend of mine filmed exactly that. A woman fell into a train in Carlisle Ohio when he was filming. I saw the video and it was terrible
