Good on you David. What a really great collection.
    One word - Awesome!!!!
I'll probably never get to see it myself but it will bring pleasure to many that do.
    Honda are number one.

Now that I am older, I have been falling in love with some of the vintage small displacement Honda bikes. I am now disabled from a accident several years ago and find it harder to work on the bigger ones now. I am currently working on restoring 1975 CB125s2. But I hope to get maybe a 1971 CL175. Any of those with that crazy right hand pipe that crosses over to line up with the left side and comes out just below the seat on the left. But truthful, I could fall in love with any vintage Honda at this point.

I love how British people like to keep things in original condition. They really appreciate the history. In Japan, a lot of them are heavily modified.

Making cafe racers out of vintage bikes is mutilation in my opinion but unfortunately it seems to be very popular.

I like all bikes(even though there are a few brands I'd never own), but Honda is my all time favorite. I started with a 1986 200sx quad, a 1994 cbr600f2, 1995 300ex quad and a 2012 cbr250. But i've been around cb750s and my good friend had a 96 cbr900rr which, is probablymy favorite sportbike ever made, fantastic machine. Honda has such a wide range of models and engine sizes for everyone out there. And Honda reliability is great. There are three bikes I'd love to have in my garage, the 1993 cbr900rr, the 2012 cbr1000(the red, white and blue which is the anniversary of the 93 900rr)and an old cb750. Always loved the look of the cb models. But...my favorite Honda model of all time from my childhood...the 1985 or 86 I think it was, the three wheeler, the 250 racing model. Had the pro-link suspension, racing tires and front suspension. That three wheeler was such a beauty to look at and watch running. My neigbhor had one and use to take me on rides. I was too young at the time to ride it myself, but it was such a beauty compared to it's brother the tamed down version, the 200sx three wheeler.

See the green K1 750 Honda in the background? My mate had one of those in 1973 and I believe only a few of that colour ever came into the country. Pity he hasn't still got it, but he wrote it off by hitting a drystone wall in Wales at 80mph and I was on the back. As you can guess, it didn't kill me, or him. Great times!

My first bike was a Suzuki TS185 that I used to pass my MC licence at 16, then traded it for Ducati 450 and some $. Bought a new 69 Honda 750 and I thought I died and went to heaven! I still regret selling it a couple years ago. Like they say you never regret keeping a bike :) I'm in my 60s and still ride Honda's. My favorite is my 2003 VFR800 Interceptor. Runs as well as the first day I bought it. Now I restore classic Honda's my Sl125 in Strato blue and a 1967 cl77 305 Scrambler are my current projects.

My first bike was a 1976 Honda SS50 in the beautiful long hot Summer of 76.
Unfortunately an idiot in a Vauxhall Viva pulled out in front of me and I ended up over the bonnet!
I then got a 5 speed SS50, rode it till I turned 17, I sold it, but I didn't lose much money due to the 30mph moped limit , everyone wanted the unrestricted ones. I then bought a 1975 CB250G5 and passed my test.
I had a GS400 Suzuki and was knocked off it. I bought a Superdream 250, it broke down with an electronic ignition fault that Honda took months to repair!
I had a T140 bonneville which was so unreliable too. My next bike was a Suzuki GS550, brilliant bike. Then a GSX250 cheap and cheerful.
Back to Honda, VF750SC, a terrible bike.
I'm still riding at 60, I have a collection of Japanese bikes, my last restoration was a Honda CB360.

First bike was a CB100. Passed my test on it too. Many Hondas since and only Hondas (except a brief Vespa flirtation), Favourite - a 1976 red CB400/4 Super Sport. What a noise and what a ride! Now toying with the idea of a Yamaha. Feels disloyal.

Amazing history, Honda on the engineering side, Fujisawa on the finance side. Scales tipped in favor of engineering, but beyond that, if Honda didn't like the way something looked, the change would be made even if it cost more. He was service and value first, profit later, now greed puts profit first, and you are lucky to even get the service and forget value later.
