Watching this scene as Patch and Puffy compete for the Assistant Job is interesting. As they compete notice the difference between the two: Patch builds an assembly line to make toys faster and ease some of the workload. Patch does have some good ideas and he always had good intentions with them and always wants to try new things to make things a bit easier for the elves as Earth’s population grows. The assembly line does give Patch an advantage in producing more toys. However, as the assembly line produces the toys, he doesn’t check thoroughly to make sure they’re assembled properly and won’t fall apart. He mostly glances at the toys, nor does he have any elves on his team inspect the toys. Puffy on the other hand chose to stick with traditional methods by relying on his team and to make toys by hand, including carving, glueing, assembly and painting. Puffy also personally checks each toy making sure they’re all made properly and pointing out any areas that need some minor adjustments. He even compliments any elf who does a good job. This is a true sign of leadership. While this does put him at a disadvantage in toy production compared to Patch’s assembly line, Puffy’s advantage is his teamwork and it shows that Puffy is better suited for the role of Assistant.
This movies such a great one, again! Anyone like my dad should give it more credit. But its ok, not everyone can like everything. Like I dont like loud noises and working weekends. But I have to deal with those issues. Like maybe Ill have to work weekends in my next job that I get. Whenever I get it, I mean. I will eventually and soon. And Ill learn to like working weekends if I do. Even though I dont.
Boy I feel old. I had this movie on beta max and it was one of my favorite Christmas movies growing up
Good memories. 😂
Loved this growing up in the 80/90s
I'm originally from England, this movie is really popular there.
