Neal, I do my kabobs the same way. If I use the wooden skewers, I use 2 skewers for each kabob. Easier to turn and veggies don’t spin on ya. Steak looked amazing. Happy Anniversary y’all! Cheers brother!
Yo Neil I have been making kabobs for a long time, I want to thank you ,,, in all my years of cooking I NEVER thought of cooking them on a griddle . Thank you I am always willing to learn. PS in July will you make meals that are not very healthy.. Please. I have a friend who has a saying. " fast food is not good and good food is not fast." Frank Marullo.....
After years of kabobs I’ve always mixed meat and veggies and never really gave it any thought but after this I’ll never do it again. Simple idea that is an over looked one by many. Genius my man. Looked delicious to on the flat top. Can’t wait to do these.
THANK GOD someone else gets it! I’ve been doing it this way for years. It never made since to me how people think the meat and vegetables would both come out good when cooked on the same skewer. Thank for the awesome videos bro!
After seeing this video, I agree 100% with keeping the meat separate from the vegetables. I haven’t made kebabs in a while so it’s definitely time to get this cook on either my pellet grill or flat top. I will decide when the time comes! Always a pleasure, you guys are fantastic!👏😋👍🏼👊🏻🍻
I've never done them but thinking bout it today. Honestly, this seems to me like common sense so thats why I'm searching because I've never seen Tham done this way. Thanks fo
Another great cook! Happy Anniversary! I started doing vegetables and meats on my Kabobs separate a couple years ago too for the reasons you said. They turn out so much better.
Love it, I did keto and still eat limited carbs and lost 75 pounds, back to the weight I was when I was 16, it works and I feel I don’t miss out at all, cheers mate
In England we call them Kebab, love your videos, just brought a flat top, wish we had all ingredients you have, keep up the good work, always look forward to your bids 👍
Happy Anniversary 🎉 Also I would love to give a shout out to your wife!! She is awesome with the videos!! She is great with the recording and great with correcting you in such a loving way!!
Dude, I have learned so many useful tips from watching your videos! Thanks for doing them and thanks for your service in the Navy! I'll keep watching and learning.
Great video again!! Looking forward to your June healthy videos (don’t get me wrong-I love all your videos)--but not many people out there are doin “healthy videos”! Congrats on your anniversary and your wt loss!! We try to eat very clean and healthy during the week and then on the weekends at the lake we “cheat” some on a couple of meals--all in moderation!! So many ways to cook great food on the griddle and you guys are doin a fantastic job helping all of us learn! Thanks Neil and Amy!!
Great video on the kebabs it actually seems so obvious. but makes good sense I can see why they call you the flat top King . I don’t have a flat top just a kettle BBQ with a stainless steel griddle so really enjoy watching how you do it thank 👍
Great tip on cooking the meat and veggies separately! I agree 100%. The wife winches every time you use the Cavenders. MSG…. I’m a retire airline pilot who did long international flights. I used to bring Cavenders (and Tapatio) with me, because…catering was not necessarily as tasty as it should be. I still use Cavenders occasionally, but SPG with onion powder has replaced it. Also agree on the metal skewers. The flat metal keeps the food from rotating like it would on the round skewers. Nice job.
I love your attention to detail. Very good information. You really help viewers in so many ways. Keep up the great videos, buddy. I recently saw one of your videos where you admitted that you speak "redneck". I laughed really hard because I think I do too, even though I grew up in Ohio. Take care Neil.
Well, I guess I'm not the only one who cooks their proteins and vegetables separately when doing kabobs. Brilliant minds think alike, lol. Nice cook and GRIDDLE ON DUDES. See ya on 06/26/22 @ 3 p.m.
Congratulations for your anniversary!! Like always a great video and very useful, since now I will cook the best Pinchos with separate meats and vegetables! ¡Gracias amigos!
Happy Anniversary y’all, 6:28 “blissful years” (🤣that look you always give). The kabobs look 🔥🔥 brotha. What a great tip on seasoning the veggies and cooking them and the meat separately. If you happen to enjoy a nice frosty adult beverage today, cheers one in the direction of California for me 🍻... I turned 46 today. This episode is the Perfect way to start my b-day. Cheers y’all 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
Great cook and great tips, Trout Magnet. Happy anniversary to you both! I do like to do grape or cherry tomatoes in a small cast iron on the side for a few minutes.
I'm going to try to get up there next month. Breakfast should consist of French toast and sausage. Lunch has to be a smash burger with seasoned potato wedges. Dinner will be fajitas. And you have to cook it all without clapping your hands.
Hey flat top King how do you like that pitboss flat top compared to the black stone ? i hear the pitboss sierra is about the same as the one you have ?
I dont..I have the ultimate which in all honesty extremely close to the serria. I have 2 videos that we just released and we talk bout pros and cons and things to consider before buying one...I am just glad I have more than one..
It can be because even on low...it get hot...I have a video on flat top grill temps....what temp should I cook on....it really goes into detail about temps...
Aaaamen!!! I've been making kabobs for my wife for Mother's Day for about 10 years. The first time I mixed the meat and veggies on the same skewer. Hard as #$_&@ to get everything cooked correctly. Ever since that first cook, I've put the meats on their own skewer and veggies in their own!
Ha! I thought I was the only one that divided vegetables from meat on the skewers. My brother laughed at it. Once. However, when I do deep fried shrimp on a stick, I do put onions, only, on with them.
I agree...kabobs are popular and this is something that was requested .... the difference is if you do try to do it right...I am not a fan of kabobs...just like in the video. But i do use the meats ones quite a bit for marinaded thin meat etc
You seemingly forgot that veggies tend to taste much better when they take on the flavor of the meat. You not only cooked the veggies seperately, but cooked them first. So at no point in the process did the meat juices ever make contact with the veggies.
Just a difference of opinion...I completely disagree. I would much rather season the vegetables and cook separately..I would also like to ensure proper cooking on the temp of the meat. I would waste over cooked meat just for a piece of vegetable.
@@TheFlatTopKing Could just cook the meat first. Or adjust the size of the vegetables to where everything cooks evenly. Also, all meat surfaces making contact with the griddle only matters if you're using a flat top. You can use indirect cooking methods if using a charcoal or gas grill.
@@TheFlatTopKing If you completely disagree that veggies don't taste better when they're cooked in mest juices, you've completely missed the concept of dishes such as stir fry.
Can appreciate what you demonstrated as far as Kabobs go but why go through the effort of skewering them when you could have simply dumped the vegetables on one section of the griddle and the meat on another section. Then served the vegetables from one plate and the meat from another.
I agree 100 percent...It was requested and thats why out of 200 videos I have not made em but some people see them in the stores or want to make them and my first reaction is your comment...
Thank you for your response. Definitely enjoying your videos and even more so finding them highly informative and entertaining. Looking forward to applying your recipes and techniques all summer long for friends and family at the poolside.

thanks Michael..the only exception I make is when doing chicken and onions...the typically take the same amount of time...
Your Kabob method makes Perfect sense! I never really thought about that!! Thank you for sharing this recipe and video and Wisdom with us!!

I agree totally on cook times. That's precisely why the potatoes and carrots go in first in a Cajun Boil. Can't wait to try this. 😁

Thanks Ernest...I agree. Heck its 75 percent of the whole meal...
Agree meat separate! I skewer the veggies, spray with olive oil and then season them. Faster and a little neater IMO.
great advice separating
