  • Having some extra time because of quarantine allowed me to compile footage of a few good hunts from last year (and practice some new guitar pieces too).

    I assume you point hunt in Northern Illinois? I'm in Waukesha Co WI and we metal detected the yard of a really old farm. When we were done the farmer said "you gotta put those detectors down and look for arrowheads, they're all over the place (as he pointed to a field). So my son and I are going to go for sure. So basically in our region points are usually the white chert or gray?

      Yes, I’m in northern Illinois. All over the place is definitely an exaggeration but they are certainly in your area. It takes time, patience and luck. And getting permission to hunt an area is also a huge advantage! Best wishes to you and your son; it is an awesome way to spend time together and a great learning experience if you find anything. I’d love to hear how it goes!
