Hello, i've stumbled coincidentally on your channel and i really enjoyed your Dragon's Dogma videos. Keep up the great content and i hope you don't mind if i leave my Ps4 ID so someone can borrow my pawn. I really need the riftcrystals :'D Again great content!
Damn! A 3 hour review of a great game, the amount of work this must have taken with all the clips and editing You've done a great job, I hope this gets many more views
The devotion spend on this video, holy hell. Great content, as always! I found out about the game just last years, sadly. Since than I havent let go of it and I am currently doing my first full Mystic Knight run. What a hidden gem, I am glad we get a sequel.
@@montgomeryfortenberry Valmiro was my first beloved on my first playthrough too. It's bit of a dodgy mechanic, but you can lower an npcs affinity by picking them up until they struggl free, or throwing pots/barrels at them. There's also a DLC item called Liquid Effluvium that you can gift to an NPC and it resets their affinity.
@@mothsforeyes yea i wasnt upset just didnt really understand it but after the first time i did aome research and was going to try ro beat the game with every beloved possible but gave up after like 5 runs
@@montgomeryfortenberry The game will only pick 1 lucky winner for your beloved. The game will not allow the arisen to marry 2 NPC at the same time. However, the game will allow the arisen to have sex with up to 2 people individually. So for example, you can do the sidequest where your arisen can have sex with The Duke's wife. Then you can have another NPC to have sex with your arisen. The game allows your arisen to have sex twice but only allows your arisen to get married once per customer.
I started playing this game because of the reviews saying how similar it was to games I love such as Dark Souls & Skyrim, this has been such a unique and fun experience, I'm halfway through and I'm having a blast, I watched the video only to the point I'm currently on and I've been enjoying it, good job dude.
Just bought the game again last month for like $5 on Xbox One. I remember seeing it on an article about "games like Skyrim" and it said this had way better combat, and looked up some FAQs to see what they thought. Ended up getting Dark Arisen on my 360 from one of those bargain game stores where you can exchange games for way less than they're worth. I loved the game so much, and it will definitely go down as one of my favorite games of all time, with Witcher 3 and Nier Automata. I'm on my second playthrough on a lvl 70 sorcerer with a warrior pawn (Bazil is the pawn's name, rent her, she's alright), I've been enjoying the game still. Still have yet to truly experience the game too, since I've only done the main quest and Dark Arisen, not even Quina's questline. Have a long ways to go till I'm lvl 200, can't wait to get there
That game must of been listed as preowned game. Normally, preowned games are around the range of $5. There are many games that will be that cheap as long as that kind of game had been out there long enough. For example, Dragon's Dogma had been around since 2012. So if you buy it in a present day, it will classify as preowned game and you get a charged a cheaper price.
for anyone running BBI for the first time 1. I envy you 2. you can tell what monsters will spawn based on the enemies in a room, for example if you want to farm death if the first room when you go in the main enterance has saurians that means death will spawn when rancid bait meat is used/all enemies are killed if it's not saurians garms will spawn. every room in BBI two rolls off two possible encounter tables (with exception of the "Arena rooms") after beating daimon the 1st time the room where you meet barroch the 1st time? in BBI 2 a garunteed cursed dragon will spawn when theres enough corpses/rancid bait meat. Knowing this can be useful for you to farm specific materials, if you don't like the encounter table you got going out of BBI and back in will lead to you getting the other enounter table
Now I will tell you a story on how I brought that game. At first, I had spring break way back in March 2020. Little did I know that when I purchased that game, I did not predict that the government was going to shut down the whole entire town putting everybody on lockdown. So I felt lucky that I purchased that game for $5 and I purchased that game 1 week before Trump declared a state of emergency. I at first thought I will just use my spring break and relax but it turned out my spring break was going to lasts longer then expected until my class was going to be placed in zoom. So Dragon's Dogma became my quarantine game. This game was how I spent my lockdown days.
I don’t usually comment on videos but this one was great currently doing a cheese run assassin with blast arrows already level 200 hundred crazy how fun this game is 👍🏻
Throwblasts were my saving grace on my first playthrough. I don't use them anymore now, new game or not but they really helped until I got the hang of it.
DD with a soundtrack from Nier Automata _ Man, you rock! These are the two games I will always remember. I'm replaying Nier Automata since I sacrificed my saves to help a poor dude that will be doing the same thing I got the same help for.
My favorite part of this game is the side quests and how you get locked out of future ones. I kinda cheated and looked stuff up in the wiki. There is actually an interacion with the salvation leader before you ever step foot in the capital (didn't even get it my first playthrough) so you should acutally know about Salvation before you get any quest investigating them. The other is like the Witch hunt quest; its needed if you wanna complete the king bay leaf quest, since it unlocks the hidden grove in the witchwood where it grows. Also that quest gives lore about how pawns can become human, be given the gift of strong/free will and ambition. Bonus, Selene stays in your house in Cassardis so she can craft things. But you only get the quest after chilling in the capital square and overhear npc citizens talk about a group of people going to hunt a witch. The mines quest (to clear out monsters) was a good side quest as well, since you could buy a thing to expand and dig out more of the mine (which i think would be a excellent thing for them to expand on in 2, expand the mine map but oops there's a gorgon). Learning about how this game does quests and game stages and world interaction is the tricky part. You could easily skip a lot of stuff or even get lost. Or like i did, get ambushed by a dragon while passing through devilfire grove for the first time (trying to get to the shadow fort) and and have your only pawn get possessed.
I found this on a whim, and it brings back lots of happy memories. Not the least of which was my old roommate and I meeting Barroch and HATING how he looked. "Look at this guy! He might be the ugliest dude I've seen in this game." "And the MOUSTACHE." "And the smug look on his face." And then we both looked at each other and dubbed him "Smugly von Moustache" or, Smugly among his friends.
Just finished dd1 for the first time, currently on my second play through. Honestly such an underrated game, my little brother recommended it to me some years back and I’m glad I finally checked it out. It’s a nice break after coming home from work although traveling without port crystals is a pain lol
Demesne is pronounced demain and has more or less the same meaning as domain. It's a very archaic word and many native speakers wouldn't know or use it.
Time to roll back to the start and settle in to watch this!!!! I've just made my Arisen a Mystic Knight so ...... This shall be an adventure!!! Somehow the Nier music just matches Dragon's Dogma!
Okay I've got two things to say for one I got to say a really appreciate and love the nier music but to be completely fair the actual music in the game is fucking phenomenal and I don't think you gave it enough credit besides that though I'm probably going to subscribe I think the voice audio could be adjusted slightly but other than that I think a pretty good content
This inspired me to do a full playthrough again with mods for fun. I listened to this while exploring Bitterblack. Using no stamina sprint and no carry limit really makes the game more fun. Especially on subsequent playthroughs.
Do smaller lighter characters move faster or is it a trick of the vision? I thought it was taller = faster Fatter/heavier = more carry weight but also slower
