I got on medication for my thyroid after having my second baby. I’m so glad you are talking about this because so many people ignore their bodies being tired because they think it’s just part of being a new mama. Ladies, if you don’t feel like yourself ask you doctor for a full blood panel!
Replacement hormone is not the solution. Treat the cause.
ok this is an important issue and i am going to have to ask you: don't be ignorant like this. thyriod issues is a pain in the ass. many of us who have it (myself included) have gone through things like trauma and/or child birth, both which are very heavy for the body to deal with. a COMBINATION of medication and a change in life style is essential.
do not say stuff like this again, please, cos you really do not know what the next person is going through (and yes, even if you do have the same condition, we all lead very different lives, and you just do not know what others deal with on a daily basis!). do not assume stuff or have opinions about what is best when it comes to physical and mental illness, as a rule of thumb, i'd say! you will only upset people, like myself, who is really struggling with their own shit right now. we all do our best in the life we have been given.

I’m French and every summer I eat ratatouille for lunch or dinner almost every day. My mother usually makes a batch for the whole family and week: a bit redundant but I never have to worry about my vegetable intake lol

Hi Julia, just a comment to say I love your content. I don't have children myself but love seeing your journey as a mum with Honor and the everyday tasks you get up to. I find your videos comforting (probably because I came across your channel at a time during lockdown in the UK and you gave me inspiration to find intention and joy in the everyday tasks we have to do!)
A book that I found helped me increase my veg intake was a book called The Roasting Tin by Rukmini Iyer (there's various versions you can get - including a vegetarian book, dessert book, time efficient recipe book and more) but they're all great!

Also random note to the part where you asked Nick not to double dip, it’s ABSOLUTELY true! When I was around 12 my dad had the h pylori infection (when you have WAY too much of it and it’s painful) because his medication was so strong he would stop taking it and continue to be sick and this happened for a while. Anyways my Mom would tell me not to use his cutlery or drink from his cup and I would ignore her sometimes when my dad offered me a bit or drink of his food and later that year I too got the h pylori overgrowth and got really sick. I ended up developing chronic IBS after my treatment. Anyways a lot of people (including me at one point) thought nothing of sharing food but now I’m much more careful about it.

Veggie tip- Not sure if you have an air fryer, but if you don’t already, GET ONE. Cover any veggie you want in salt, pepper, and olive oil and pop it in the air fryer. It’s life changing. My faves are broccoli, asparagus, brussels sprouts, and carrots. Congrats on the engagement 🎉

I knew the second I saw Honor crying she was teething😭. Those days are the hardest because they hurt so much😭 it breaks your heart. The mesh teethers that you can freeze food and fruit in is nice. Congratulations on your Engagement! Tell Nick congratulations as well. Such wonderful news along with you starting to feel better. I have chronic pain so I understand how not feeling yourself and being able to do things feels.
Butternut squash soup: squash roasted until soft then blended with broth and lightly sautéed garlic ginger and onion. Heat blended soup on the stove and serve

I wonder if it is the connection feeling from nursing that she is missing, like the physical contact and warmth. So it might be an emotional thing and it might help her to feel better if she just gets some compassion and some soothing rubs. I have never been a mom and I am sure it is extremely extremely challenging to even just have her crying next to your face. Maybe it would help more, though. Loved one of your asmr videos I just watched, so so much:)🥰
Congratulations on the engagement! I like to make mashed potatoes and add cauliflower and chopped garlic to the pot as they’re boiling. Then just mash up like usual! You might need less milk since the cauliflower will add moisture. But don’t skip the butter! (Like you would ever, lol!)

Going from nursing on demand to anything less is hard on the child and the mom. I bought a book called “Mothering your nursing toddler” and it has a whole chapter on this. We are not suppose to decide when they wean! My boy never took a bottle and would hold out whenever he found out that a bottle would be a replacement thing lol

Make a mix of veggies like corn, edamame, sprouts, kale, water chestnuts, and broccoli. Mix that with some sesame oil and ginger and then you can add protein to it an BAM.

A quick & easy way to add a veggie to a meal is coating whatever vegetables you want/have in olive oil & seasoning with salt & pepper & throwing in the air fryer! Most have automatic settings for different vegetable types to set the temp & time for you. Mine even beeps halfway through to get you to shake the basket for even cooking. This was a game changer for me adding in different veggies to my life!!!

Bag of frozen broccoli in the oven at 400 degrees! Toss with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Spray with oil of choice and toss every 10 minutes to your crispness liking. Top with fresh lemon juice and parmesan 😋

They became caramelized and so delicious! Also make sweet potato wedges (skins on) tossed in olive oil and whatever seasonings you like.

I love the airfryer for all my veggies! Lately have been enjoying pumpkin with onion powder, garlic salt and paprika airfried. I also LOVE putting broccoli in the airfryer - it's so crispy and a totally different texture to mushy boiled broccoli.

Congrats Julia and Nick🥰 I’m so happy for you! I’ve been obsessed with caramelized carrot puree. So you basically chop your carrots (medium pieces) and leave them on the pan with olive oil, salt and pepper. Then add some garlic and once the carrots gained a nice color, process them in a blender or mixer with a little water. Back to the pan heat it with some nice butter and voilà. Soooo good, filling and it just pairs really well with any sort of meat

Helpful teething tip I used for my kids: take a clean baby size washcloth, get it wet (not soaking) and put it in the freezer. She can chew and suck on it and it will help with sore gums.
