That being said, I have purchased 5 of John's DVDs and have attended two of his classes and I can say, without a doubt, he is the best, most articulate coach, with the best material and best teaching skills in the world, bar none.

I spent 2 years plus learning BJJ. This 'primer' is so good that it fixed many of my errors in my escapes and even gave me a game plan against all opponents.
You sir are a wizard and your material is well worth the price.
Think about it. Imagine you're in a self defense situation. This primer makes sure you end up at least in guard and attempting to take the opponents back. No "noise". No "nonsense"
The first 2 years is really confusing as we are just groping with all the major things in jiu jitsu without delving into the details and cementing the nervous system reflexes to carry out the motions flawlessly.
If I had your instructionals since the beginning I'm absolutely sure i would have reached blue belt in a year training just twice a week and spending a few hours a week drilling your techniques with a partner.

Yes they go together wrestling is mostly on the feet really once you are taken down you are beaten to a point
Bjj starts on the ground really you can't submit from standing so they really are not comparable. . .
One of my friends would try to grapple me I wrestled and he did bjj for like a month and I would take him down and I would stop and he's like we just started and I'm like no I pinned you. .

The beauty of what John does is that he is able to condense the key fundamentals of each situation such that even if you only remember the why of how you apply each technique you could use that to change exactly how you apply the technique and still be successful.

That was actually very good. I thought this was going to be boring given the 30 minutes timeframe but I was pleasantly surprised.
