    I spent 2 years plus learning BJJ. This 'primer' is so good that it fixed many of my errors in my escapes and even gave me a game plan against all opponents.
    You sir are a wizard and your material is well worth the price.
    Think about it. Imagine you're in a self defense situation. This primer makes sure you end up at least in guard and attempting to take the opponents back. No "noise". No "nonsense"
    The first 2 years is really confusing as we are just groping with all the major things in jiu jitsu without delving into the details and cementing the nervous system reflexes to carry out the motions flawlessly.
    If I had your instructionals since the beginning I'm absolutely sure i would have reached blue belt in a year training just twice a week and spending a few hours a week drilling your techniques with a partner.

    Went to my first class today just practicing fundamentals, primarily escaping a pin from side-control. Slightly different method but the approach was very much the same. This kind of video is really eye-opening.

    I love John’s explanations. He is articulate and extremely well versed that he breaks it down so that I can understand it. Also you know he’s not one who messes around when he uses the word strangulation to call a choke 🤣🤣

    John is a one of the most talented instructors in the business. His purple belts are better than lots of black belts in other schools. Many thanks for both!

    I can only watch about 4-5 minutes of Danaher videos. Then based on what I can remember, I need to hurry to try them out and get them cemented in my brain. Then, run back to the computer and watch the next segment, then run back to gym to try that set out, repeat for life........

    Wow this guy is very technical and detailed. And this is a good example of why it takes 12 years of hard and consistent training to get your BJJ black belt. There are so many things to learn and become proficient (to the point of muscle memory) in the art. The fabulous news to a newbie, is that after even 1 year, you'll be able to defend yourself against an average guy when needed. Cross training in kickboxing/boxing/muythai is also advised for a full package for self defense. Better to first try stay OFF the ground if you can end the fight quickly with a knee or elbow or kick. Thanks, very nice coach, will subscribe

    I’ve only been training a few months and I’ve watched ALOT of technique videos on RUclips . This is by far the best one. Not one video come close .

    • @Tj_McQueen
      @Tj_McQueen 4 года назад

      A lot of video series that you can pay for will give you this same level of detailed instruction. John is available to watch on RUclips for free which is why people think he’s the best out there, but you can get the same instruction from other professors. Not taking away from John, he’s an absolute BJJ beast, but just saying.
