Would this do extra wear to the car or is it just something nice to add on to the downshift
Every once in awhile you'll be fine, if you do it non stop then yeah eventually you'll have issues.

do you need an exhaust for it to make it pop while downshifting or can it also pop stock?
it will pop a little stock but it’s louder with muffler/res delete
Does it have to be in straight manual or can jus use paddle without goin into m?
You can do paddle or shifter either is Gucci!
It works in V6s as well, 26k-29k rpms. You have to give it just enough gas as you would in a manual transmission vehicle. Give it too much gas and it just will sound ugly.
