      As if we dont all die and bleed and can't control anything isn't enough already in case some numbskulls missed the simple message of loving thy neighbor as thyself
      It's the mention of the word racism itself that is the culprit of racism because without the word it would have no meaning anymore. Stop giving it power and stop giving it meaning.

    May you and your family be blessed, may you feel the love you put out into the world returned to you, four times over. Your message to celebrate our connection to our native ancestors makes me feel welcome- I have always been a Guerro, the light skinned kid among my brown siblings and cousins. I knew I was “Mexican” but never realized that could mean I am a quarter Pueblo, the rest being Spanish/European. I was never Mexican or white enough to fit in no matter where I tried to belong, so hearing your welcoming words is comforting.

Thank You for waking my senses to the awareness, my mind to the appreciation of the wonders of Your creation. Thank You for creating within me a heart that can worship You in spirit and in truth." I'm from an island in the south pacific. I watched a documentary on the DNA of my people and learned that we're descendents of southwest natives that traveled south to Peru before crossing the Pacific Ocean and settled in the Mariana Islands. It explained to me why I have a strong kinship to the Dines. Hawaiians are descendents of the Inuits from Alaska. All our arts and customs and traditions are almost paralleled. I love videos like this one, as it dovetails with lore (which I do absolutely believe stems from fact) from other parts of the world. This channel is so awesome. Thank you for sharing, sir!

    • @nachgeben
      @nachgeben 3 года назад +4

      @@AusDenBergen Yeah, you gotta get over yourself, but I'll answer this: Some people don't know their peoples traditions, and instead take on those around them. It's not cultural appropriation as I'm sure you'll cry, but cultural appreciation. I don't know jack about my German traditions because my mother didn't teach me, to spite her mother. I don't know my Scottish traditions, because my grandfather never bothered to learn and pass it to my father. Would I live closeby to any reservation, if they would have me, I would be happy to learn of theirs. Reading on the internet means nothing compared to having that knowledge handed to you from older generations. Instead, I've had the chance to learn Japanese traditions, though not very well, but I know them better than any other heritage-tier traditions I should've been taught.
      And before you ask: No, I couldn't learn from the generations before my parents. My Scottish side was all dead before I was born, and my German grandmother was an admittedly cruel woman who sought to destroy lives (and did so beyond what any Karen could hope for).

      Isn't it true. They (Morgan, Powell, Smithsonian, etc.) hid a lot of the truth about where the Native Americans came from. Now we see the statues being toppled. People out to hide the truth again. People of the same philosophy turning against everything in American history now, taking traditional style art off of helmets to replace it with a W. I highly recommend the book THE NAKED COMMUNIST by Cleon Skousen. And yes, Russell Means is so interesting to listen to. You can't really call him left or right. I appreciate the thoughts he shared. @@AusDenBergen That is an important point. My ancestors are from northern Europe. People from other parts of the continent made their way to those lands. Then they punished my ancestors. Tried to make them slaves, or lose their language and culture... All dress the same, all talk the same, all stop learning and growing and just be sick slaves for people of all skin tones, who hide themselves in ivory towers and laugh down at us.
      Then they came over teh ocean to do it here too.
      That is why we have Jesus. This is the end of the world, no place left for the devils to hide... Time to push back and take the world back for the good people, back to the indigenous roots, to respect the planet and all life.

    My Dad (born in 1926) often told me he was one 'pinkie' Cherokee, so I was 'half a pinkie'. We always smiled about that, and it made him feel proud, so I did, too. I've never had my ancestry officially checked, so I don't know for sure. I love how Wally makes it sound like such common sense that we all came from two people, a man and a woman, not animals. I believe some day we will be able to see that very clearly, and it will be obvious. I'm really enjoying these teachings, I just started listening a few days ago and it is coinciding with me finally getting around to reading the 'Memories of the Brown Family" book my aunts, uncles and Dad put together in the 90's. Now I'm writing them down along with my own memories for my two adult children to have some day. Blessings to all!

      I am too - part indigenous. We moved when I was a child so I didn't grow up around anything "native" and my native mother died when I was young. When I go to a Pow Wow as an adult (and feeling like a white stranger culturally) the energy (of the spirit world) is unmistakable. I feel like there are dozens of souls/ancestors (on the other side) joining, or watching the dancers and it feels magical. I don't know how else to describe the feeling, but there is more going on there than us "five-finger beings" doing what we do. It really touches my soul. They know, the ancestors, what is in our hearts and that is all that matters despite outward appearances. There is magic in those Pow Wows in my humble opinion. I'm glad you went.

    Good advice.
    Finally started having luck in tracking my own Native heritage aside from just what my mother remembers them telling me. Turns out, I am from a group of Saponi who were adopted by the Seneca during the French-Indian Wars & were living in West Virginia until they were swallowed up by modern society & were forgotten. The name in that family I have in common with Native tribes can be traced all the way back to Roanoke, &, though I have no idea what path it took to reach the ancestors I know of, it also means that I have ancestors who were Chowanoke. Also turns out that another name in that side of our family is a very prominent Shawnee name & we have a relative who moved out west and married into the Apache. As for me, the place I've always lived & grown up was once a sacred place where people could gather all kinds of food & medicine. Though the place is damaged and weak, now, I am trying to acquire & scatter wild seed where I can in order to heal it. Not only that, but my Saponi ancestors always claimed that they came from Ohio originally. There are two burial mounds in immediately neighboring countries which are dissimilar to those elsewhere known to be made by the Adena, Hopewell or Fort Ancient, but have features in common with those which were excavated in Virginia, which the Saponi built, even if they aren't exactly the same, so I've come to the sentiment that this is where I was always meant to be, for whatever reason.

      Do you think there are parallels between the stories of the holy people and the middle eastern stories of El? The traditional teaching he gives regarding the 12 fragments of the 'holy language' that his people have been permitted to keep;
      To me, having been raised christian, I see vast similarity between that story and Genesis 6, the story of the tower of babel.
      The people were stripped of the singular language/culture that united them all and they were scattered.
      Anasazi and annunaki?
      Could five fingered being refer more deeply to our 5 senses?

    This is true nobody would ever know if I didn’t tell anyone that my grandmother is Menominee. This is something I am proud of. She passed when my mother was a little girl but I know that she is part of me and I am very proud of this.

    I am fortunate to be able to say I have a small amount of Native blood on my Father's side. But, then it occurred to me that even though I have a small percentage of Native American blood, the rest of my people from Scandinavia and Germany were also a part of the Native folk from their region many generations back. It's like this wise Man says, "we are all Native one way or another." And, that is something we should all take great pride in as we think back on the countless generations that came before us.

    My condolences for the loss of your wife. That is a beautiful thought of the 5 fingered being. I have always been proud of having a Native American woman in my Mother's ancestry . She married a fur trapper in the 1600's and lived on Staten Island NY. We never could find what tribe she came from which saddened me.

    I love this man. His wisdom is so comforting to me. I always felt like a part of me was missing as I never knew my grandmother who died when my father was very young. He never learned her native teachings. This makes me feel less alone in that regard. I am so sorry for your loss and send you love and healing hugs💕✨
