I know it must have taken a lot of hardwork to make this video but if it is worth anything a random guy is very thankful to you and wishes you all the best in life. Thanx for you time brother!
I basically don't know anything about music or even sound! I was searching for something slightly relevant to this topic, and I came across this video. You kept me to watch the whole 16-minute video! You explain incredibly fantastic. I don't know you but you should be a great teacher. Thanks for this video.
You had my full attention for 16 minutes. I came in knowing very little to having both a better understanding of the topic & an appreciation of your fantastic teaching style. Each part you explained provided a depth of information I had hoped for & you delivered. I’m anticipating & intrigued to listen to not only part two, but also any other instructional videos you have available.
@@MrMcMath I agree with bro, you spoke with essentially perfect concision, provided visuals, and also went to the perfect depth. On to part 2! Lol Edit: Error 404 part 2 not found
Thank You for helping me understand what I couldn't describe in communication about visualizing sound characteristics ... Envelope & Harmonic Content were the missing definitions I needed .. Makes sense now 🤔
Oh my!!! That was a great video. Was looking for some content to help a friend of my, but I ended up learning from you, because of the way you presented all these notions. Thanks
i found a gem today in understanding the sound more clearly ..... i jz started up ...hehe WOW !! ...and GEM bcoz, whoever explains u basics is a GEM bcoz basics are the GEM itself !! Thanks for sharing the video mate.....booOOoom
I cam here not because I wanted to learn more about music, but because I needed to learn more about sound for engineering class. Did not left disapointed
this video is seriously amazing, thank you so much for all your work! even after coming to this 8 years after publishing it is still so sooo helpful!!!
Near perfect pace, which I find almost impossible to find in a documentary. Graphics and visuals are both intuitive and easy to understand logically. I got a cliffhanger feeling in my gut a few times, which is also rare for me while watching a documentary. Really nice work.
This has been super helpful, I’ve been racking my brain the last week trying to figure this out. Awesome video. Within the first 3 minutes I understood what took me weeks to understand!
wasnt sure about this at first, but its legit. i know about sound but sometimes i just like to go over the super basics and fundamentals. thanks bro, great job
Thank you. This presentation was articulated well and aesthetically pleasing. I’m a new subscriber! I can’t get enough of sound, frequency, vibration, energy and the sorts.
This was extremely helpful, I couldn’t be happier. I usually someone who's afraid of everything related to math and waves in general and you got my full attention, and I got everything. I even took notes! Thank you for the great content. The internet is made for this kind of wholesome content
I'm going to a sound engineering school, and we are going through this very thing in week 1. This helped break things down and give me some additional context! Thanks a lot and keep the videos coming Adam!
Wow! Didn't realize how small of a channel this was! I could tell by the Camera quality but the editing and content was so smooth! Great video and great content. Keep it up!
Nice talking speed....great explanations ( like the fruit juice comparison too )...keep going with your tutorials. Recapping on the basics is always a must from time to time no matter how advanced we get in this science.
That's really simple and informative. Thanks a lot you helped me a lot in understanding how it works! Would love to see more of your stuff. Please keep going! One more thing, you proved to me that making a great video doesn't necessarily need expensive equipment!
This is absolutely helpful to me and I went through the whole. I searched for part 2 in your channel but didn't find it. Appreciate it if you could do part 2. Thanks so much.
Excellent video tutorial! You simplified a rather complex subject using real/actual examples to illustrate and “amplify” your concepts. You’re a gifted teacher! Like they say - you brought the cookie jar from the top shelf to the floor so everyone can partake. Thanks Adam! I appreciate your gift to us. Btw, if you can simplify how a compressor, gate and reverb works and how to use them effectively, I’d (& our Sunday school music and sound team) be forever grateful to you!
Thanks so much! I have a video about how compressors work here: ruclips.net/video/SOE2XSN9gqI/видео.html A noise gate is pretty much the opposite of a compressor. A compressor will attenuate signal ABOVE the threshold while a gate will attenuate signal BELOW the threshold. Reverb is its own can of worms. How it works depends on the type: spring, plate, room reflections, etc. As far as using each of them effectively, it's really about understanding how they work and then TONS of practice and experimentation. Hope that helps, lmk if you have any questions.
Awesome video. I've watched a lot with these basic information on sound and yours is actually the first which covered everything and that really understandable! Thank you. I was was searching for Part II Psychoacoustics...would be awesome if you load it up too! Looking forward to it :)
Nice job of demonstrating a complex topic in simple and understandable terms. I feel I have a better inkling of what is really happening with the sound waves I'm hearing.
We loved this video! You had my curious just-turned-six year old’s attention for the full 16 minutes. She is wondering about part two, because how our ears receive the sound was a lot to do with what sparked the curiosity to begin with. 😊 Thank you for posting! We really enjoyed it!
Thanks so much, glad you both enjoyed it! I've been meaning to create part 2 for years now. It's still on my to-do list, hopefully I can check it off soon.
Where is part 2? Awesome video! My next search is how the brain perceives sound. Went a little fast for my slow brain but good thing I can remind. Many thanks for your explanation
At the end when you showed the 3 different waves, it would have been cool to hear a side by side comparison together. Otherwise awesome video. Very detailed and informative but explained simply enough for basic understanding. Thanks for creating it. ☮️❤️🎵🌍🤗🏁
I know it must have taken a lot of hardwork to make this video but if it is worth anything a random guy is very thankful to you and wishes you all the best in life. Thanx for you time brother!
Thanks so much! That means a lot to me. I wish the same for you :)
do not take this down. this is really helpful, especially when you know nothing about sound.
Agreed
This is THE most concise and easy to understand explanation on this topic that I've seen. 12/10

Some of the best explanations in youtube!
Truly helpful, I wanted to learn this for a long time and I've finally found a video that properly explains the roots of sound, thank you :)
One of the best sound engineering videos I've seen, very cut to the point, no b.s.
Good job
Thank you!! this is better than any physics class ive ever had

This was a good explanation, especially in terms of visualising the wave/speaker. Keep up the good work!
Very clearly explained without frills and extra mumbo jumbo to confuse
Thank you! Really good video. Interesting and clear
This was extremely helpful, thank you so much for uploading this!!
fantastic video! finally i understand the basics of how sound works
Great video! I would love to see part 2!
