The man on percussion is Magnus. He is Aurora's dearest friend, and produced much of her music up until this most recent album. He did produce a couple of songs on the album, though. He's an incredible producer. Silja was also a regular part of the band for a few years, and her supporting vocals during her time with Aurora are legendary. Both Silja and Magnus left the band to work on their own careers. Aurora has a revolving cast of musicians that work with her. Askjell is another artists who is a frequent collaborator. Freddie has been in the band for some time now, and her current backing singers Amalia and Thea are incredible too. Her new drummer doesn't get much attention but after seeing the band live, I think he deserves way more credit. He's a great drummer.
Having a civil conversation is the fastest way to create understanding. We are all unique beings with our own thoughts. No matter how you feel about what's happening around you, it's only temporary. I have a friend from Russia, and we disagree on many things, but we never let it dictate our friendship. We simply agree to disagree because we care about each other. In fact, Aurora is one of the things that brought us together.
Yes, the original "fantastic four" that started the "band" on January 16th, 2014. First tiny performance on Feb 20th as a rehearsal for the Oslo Festival "by:Larm 2014" on Feb 28th and March 1st, where Aurora was "discovered" for real and got 6 out of 6 reviews in the newspapers, and was named one of the unofficial "winners" of that festival. It is a tiny Norwegian version of the US SXSW, where new and unknown artists gets a chance to show themselves.
This was first live performance of the song on May 26th 2020, 12 days after the single was released. I highly recommend the music video as well, it is very beautiful and the album version has bass and strings as well. Aurora wrote the song in 2017, when she felt that kind of love, but did not release it, and felt like she might never release it. But then in 2020 during lock downs she felt her fans needed some love, here are some quotes from Aurora: "I never thought that I would write a song about love. But now I am ready. My heart is ready. And I hope you are as well." "I think once in a while we all need something to remind us of the good that exists in the world. And why we exist. Right now the world is going through a lot, together, but we are also isolated. You try to listen to the world when making music. And I felt like the world needed a little love right now." "Exist For Love is the first love song I ever wrote. But as most of my songs, it has a much larger and deeper meaning than just love between two individuals. I believe that love is one of the strongest forces we have on this planet and in us people. And I believe that once we learn true, pure and unselfish love, we are reminding of why we exist, and I think we understand why we are here, once we learn that kind of pure love exist, which is quite beautiful. And I love many things... and many people."
There is also a performance of A Different Kind Of Human form this show, that I think you will like as it shows how Aurora can take her songs and perform them in different ways.
This song was released during the covid lockdown (May 2020 i believe). She felt that the world needed a love song. Her motivation for writing it has never been disclosed.
Nice reaction🥰 I absolutely love this song and performance😍 This was actually her first love song. She wrote it in 2017, but didn’t release it until 2020, because she felt it was the right time to release it, that the world needed a love song (pandemic) Odd Martin Skålnes Silja Sol Magnus Skylstad ❤️❤️❤️
Aurora keeps her love life mostly private. She has been in relationships, that much she shares, but with specifically who she never says. Other than she has shared she has dated both women and at least one very manly man with a beard. That's as much as we have got regarding her love life. Lol
@ @ there’s a distinction to be made in your question. I’m not referring to A god. I’m referring to THE God. Creator of Heaven and Earth. The one who made you and I. I do not believe we are complete apart from a relationship with him. A relationship that cannot be substituted by a human.
The conflict we experience today and everyday is a feature of democracy. We give so much power to our democratic leaders to rule the lives of people. We try to rule our neighbours' lives so much through all the laws, that the conflict is inevitable. There should be less central control of one group of people by the other. We fight over the laws of how everybody should live their lives. We shoud let the society by more organic, more natural, let people live as they like and let the society be ruled by itself using demand and supply, without harmful forced restrictions of a state. Let the foundation of the society be freedom and non-agression. (p.s.: it's called anarcho capitalism) :)
I don’t believe that. Without rules, humans naturally fall into chaos. There needs to be balance, but letting it happen “organically” is a recipe for disaster.
@@teckreactions Why do you mention "without rules"? I did not say anything about "no rules". I am talking about "society ruling itself" like it always have done in many areas. We need rules, we need common standards, we need currency, we need leaders and managers and we need judges. But why should there be such a monstous monopoly in the form of the state, that forces us to get all these services very badly and expensive, and has the monopoly on violence?
@@johnytwo Because you have to think about comes up with and enforces these societal rules. These rules come from a natural moral order. A moral order established by God. Is this a government conversation or a morality conversation? I don't believe democracy in and of itself is inherently evil. I believe consolidated power is evil. And that's what we've turned into. The US is also not a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic, but elected officials seem to forget that.
@@teckreactions I mean, the state got too big, too hungry and too omnipresent. Because the more money you give to people, the more they want, and the more they vote populists who give it to them. Simply put: smaller state=less money, freedom and resources wasted and more money and freedom and resources stay with people. Not mentioning the immorality of taxes, if anybody cares about morality.
@@teckreactions I have moral values. Some of them are freedom and non-agression. If I want to have moral integrity, I cannot approve of the existence of a state that breaks those values. Though I am realist and understand, that things cannot change, untill people's need for freedom reaches certain level. Societal rules in anarcho capitalist society would be enforced by insurance companies and free-market courts, i.e. judges, who would compete on the free market and satisfy the demand for fair and just settlement of conflicts. on the other hand: "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts". don't underestimate synergy. thanks for another aurora request and reaction.
Fair enough! But I don’t think it’s required.
Yes. Odd Martin playing guitar and Silja (Celia) Sol backing vocals with Magnus on Cajon. Thanks
Cool!
Love her too ❤
She wrote this for her fans and Not One person😊
1940-vibes....❤
Can somebody without a companion be complete? Is loneliness not a void?
Yes, they can be complete. A person is complete on their own (and, I believe, in relationship with God).
