The main problem is..that the tourists have no idea what the guards are guarding. It has been a long time since Horseguards has been the official entrance to St James' and Buckingham Palaces.
They look at & treat the Guards like some kind of waxwork dummy or an animal in a zoo, next they will be throwing bananas at them! ..no respect for anything.
The video where the tourists throw a glove at a guard 💂♀️ is just terrible. A yeoman of the guard appears and tells them off and retrieves the glove. The people slope away with their baggage.
Why should the "what" he is guarding make them more respectful?? They are simply, brainless, disrespectful, louts. Not even a 100 hundred of them equate to one of these trained young men.

I wonder if the interview process for becoming a soldier in the UK army is do you mind standing for hours having the piss taken out of you by foreign tourists in St James Palace as unfortunately this is par for the course of being a soldier when stationed in London the rest of the time you can be deployed to anywhere in the world.
