I knew pretty much nothing of Sh Qaradhawi, but respected him a lot for being revered by all sunni scholars, and most importantly for being engaged with the realities facing the ummah, sometimes actively, in a time most liked to remain silent.
May Allah have mercy on him.

May Allah increase you in ikhlaas, wisdom, sound knowledge. May Allah bless the work Sheikh Qaradawi has left behind. May Allah grant him forgiveness. Nowadays, not many scholars continue to embrace other scholars just because of differences in opinions and fatwas. No one put a leash on them and told them what to do. They were adults and mature human beings who knew well what they were getting into. Sh Qaradawi May Allah grant him forgiveness in his humble ijtihad as a scholar said what he he thought to be right. He wasn’t like scholars Went by the wind to please people. He said what he as a scholar believed to be the right thing to do. Libyan people were not little kids to be told what to do. Not only Sh Qaradawi but many many many scholars shared the same findings in protesting against dictators. Allah knows best.

The truth is what Allah s.w.t and his messenger have legislated not in the fatwa of a scholar because scholars aren’t infallible. We should not let our love for someone supersedes our love for That which is divine. With all due respect I disagree with much of what sheikh said today and was even shocked to hear such from him.

Sheikh Yasir, I was really impressed by your lecture about the origin of salafism and how it consistently manipulates the faith to the benefit of the throne.
Now it would be benefitial to do a similar analysis about how sheikh Qardawi's fatawa and influence and see how they served the US and Qatar's military and political ambitions.
It would also be beneficial to understand the M brotherhood all over the world is now serving Qatar and Turkey's economical and political interests at the expense of the local government, economies and structures.

    narrated by al-Bukhaari (4969):
from Jaabir that a man from (the tribe of) Aslam came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he was in the mosque and he said, “I have committed adultery.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) turned his face away from him. The man came to that side to which the Prophet had turned his face, and testified against himself four times. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "Are you mad? Are you married?" He said, "Yes.” So he commanded that he be stoned in the Musalla (Eid prayer place). When the stones troubled him, he ran away, until he was caught in al-Harrah and killed.

There were bunch of authentic hadiths agaisnt to bring muslim govt down but he did opposite, what was inspired him only Allah know best. For me that is further confirmed he is a human and a human made mistake. May Allah forgive him and put him in paradise. Amin.

You easy to say when we already witness what happens today. At the end of the day, the reason their country is so unstabilized is that they still got the worst person to be a leader. Change is necessary when you are under oppression, but the plan must be a long-term solution, not just in the moment. The problem with Arab spring is just made to overthrow the current government and give to, I assume Sh. Qaradawi. But they forgot the outside force wouldn't let them do as they pleased. Fighting to be free from oppression shouldn't be discouraged. But plan it with a long-term solution.

  • @koroglurustem1722
    @koroglurustem1722 2 года назад

Thank you shaikh for the lecture. I came to know little bit about the marhum shaikh al-Ghardawi. I don't agree with you asking why people give strong backlash although they don't apply the rule of stoning. With that reasoning, adultery should be OK in Islam, because everyone is doing it ubiquitously and the rule of stoning is no longer applied. That's a skewed approach to religion.
As Muslims we have to at least acknowledge a haram as a haram in order to remain Muslim, lest we leave the fold of Islam.
No need to water down everything in religion under the banner of wasatiyya. Rule of average is not right because one side (liberals) keep moving the goal-posts further and further away, destroying any remaining morality in the society.
Prophet said, Islam started as stranger, it will become stranger, and glad tidings to those strangers that will try to repair what people have corrupted.
Another hadith says that you will follow previous nations (ummah) in their innovations, even if they enter a hole of lizard. How do we follow them? By importing their ideologies and meeting them in the mid-way. Because they keep moving, so do we, following them down the lizard hole. If you are not careful, you end up making political alliances with lgbt people. That's one clear example of how diluting our religion leads us astray.

"Sheikh" Rashed Ghannouchi whom you quote is the head of a mob-like organisation (Nahda) that has ransacked Tunisia over the past ten years and had turned it from a developing country to a backwards land of desolation. It is nice to hear a romantic portrayal of Qardawi as an Islamic scholar while he wore many other hats that are not so respectable.

@@4681MM not on a matter like this one. You cannot name me even a few names who denied stoning. I'm not talking about recent times after Muhammad Abduh and other deviants after him. I'm talking about classical scholars.

It's okay. Classical scholars were pro slavery and vaginal sex with infinite concubines. Times change, views change.

He was misguided shiekh, if you know Arabic you can watch shiekh musamil al-faqiri and shiekh othman al khamees and their reputations on him (yousef al-qardawi)

Hassan Al-bannaa is the founder of "Bannee Brotherhood" I don't wanna call it "Muslim". An organization that is the prolongment of khawaarij. They promote One-Religion for all. Shaykh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi is the promoter and spreader of that doctrine. That doctrines basically encourages uprising against rulers if population don't like them. People of that group don't mind mixing with Raafidah, Tijaaniyah, non-Muslim, all these baat'hil groups. Yusuf qaradawi is okay with ribaah if the rate is low. He has many wrong fatwah added to that list. That's why he was banned in almost all sunni countries

It's okay. Sayid Abdullah Ibn Zubair encouraged uprising and he's a gazillion times better than whoever you are 'The Straight Path'.

Him owning the Arab spring is the proof that he encourages uprisings to overthrow regimes. And that political involvement of Muslims is the creed of ikhwaanee movement.

Mr crooked path you are wrong. No wonder you are straight to jannah salafist who believes everyone else is mubta'de except your salfis room mates/ group. Tell me the book you read which states Banna and Qardawi permitted this ISIS Ideology...
Your idiocy is so remarkable that Qardawi has been writing against the extremism and you saying hes their sheikh... how did you come to that conclusion.....attending the tahreer square when the entire Egypt deposed Husni Mubarak that's not daleel for you secondly he's only been rejected by Saudi Arabia, which has in the past awarded him the King Faisals Award... Egypt and United Arab Emirates perhaps you can add 2 more countries the island of Bahrain and Jordan.... all are the friends of Israel... No wonder the CIA identified two groups of Muslims that they can work with Sufis and Neosalafis.

The man is no longer with us in this world. If we don't have anything to say, we should at least show respect and remain silent. Good manners is important. If you had issues with him, he was in this world for 90+ years. You had plenty of time to debate, talk to him. But once someone is no longer with us, our religion teaches us to show respect. May Allah guide me and you and guide all.
