Wow, this is not the first suspected searched box from BBCE I've seen Erik open either. There needs to be a response from BBCE. I will not buy from them again until I see a sufficient response.
I have some boxes from BBCE, had wondered what I was going to do with them, thought I might eventually sell break spots for them. Now I'm very concerned, so I guess I'll just open them for channel for myself, that way I won't feel bad if they are searched and I'm the one who takes the loss.
jabs will keep right on using them until no one wants to buy in. Using them it helps advertise his breaks and draw people in. He downplayed the 1980s box that had different year pack in it and said he was sure it was honest mistake by BBCE and rolled on like nothing never happen. I will be really surprised if anything comes from this. he will make some sort of claim they got back and said its a dud box from topps and not searched and jabs will go right on using them for future breaks.
Wow, no rookie prospects, no checklists, no team or league leaders cards, only 4 HOFers by my count. This box was a travesty. Feel bad for Erik and especially for all the people who bought into the break. As a little kid I bought maybe 8-10 packs of these at 7-11 (couldn't afford many at time) and guarantee I got many more Stars and future Hall of famers, checklists etc just from those handful of packs. Sitting here looking at some BBCE boxes I bought and I'm very worried about ever selling breaks for them and very concerned about buying any more in future.
Has to give anyone with half a brain pause to buy from them, so you're not the only one. I've never seen a box of Topps opened like this without checklists, if anything there's usually to many. Also Don't you love it when try to lay knowledge on and pretty much repeat what you just said???
Why are you comparing a modern 2018 Release with arguably the best rookie class in the last decade to 1979? The reason the 1979 box is so expensive is the scarcity of unopened material these days with the outside chance to pull a very tough Gem Mint Ozzie. I was buying 2018 Update for $45 per box in February.....I wouldn't spend my money on any unopened in the 1970's anymore . Matter in fact, I sold a cello box of 1975 Topps baseball to BBCE. It's worth more unopened.
Who's to say that the other 1979 box that BBCE has in stock didn't come from the same person who sold them this box? If they offer a replacement 1979 box, the same thing might happen again.
Erik asks about compiling a list of the big stars not found. 1:04:50 - Look at how many cards you got from the "D" sheet. (D is near copyright on back.) Most HOFers and stars are on the D sheet. Robin Yount and Bruce Sutter are on the C sheet. Ozzie Smith is on the A sheet and all 26 Prospects cards are on the F sheet.
Wow! Thanks for that insight. I have no idea how you guys figure out the sheet placements but thanks for sharing 👍 I am interested in how they actually printed these years ago
@@wax2thefuture647 How? As long as there is more than one you can't narrow it down without a mark of some sort. Anyways, even if they could, its about traceability. For the company AND the customer.
RUSSBOSKI88 makes no sense I want to be nice and jabs is a teacher but this lacks common sense , so many wax packs were searched card shops were known for this since upper deck changed the game with foil
Like he said in the video, there's a rare chance of pulling a PSA 10 Ozzie in this box. Like the Sutter he pulled that looked close to perfect. And people like us have subscribed and viewed the video of this break, which makes money for his channel.
Erik, I think you're handling this in the right way by giving them the benefit of the doubt. Let's see what they do. On the other hand, since they're the ones authenticating the box and charging those prices, one has to question their authenticating knowledge since this one obviously was tampered with.
Jabs your the best on giving a credit It was definitely searched. I bought tons of packs that year and you always got reds and a plethora of stars. I couldn’t believe what i was seeing watching those packs opened and you should have gotten a check list at least every three packs at the most four Great job your stand up guy.
@@daledimassi416 I'm no expert, but I have heard about the 'stripe' you are mentioning. It makes sense. My big question is if they were searched, it would be extremely hard to have all cards from the same sheet in the packs...but I think I figured it out. It could be some unscrupulous sorts had sheets they cut up and placed in the wrappers after they had pulled the original cards. Makes sense. If what you say is true, Erik needs to confront them on this. Seriously, that's a HUGE oversight on BBCEs part.
Let's give it the benefit of the doubt, and just say that pack was not searched; who, in their right mind, would authenticate it as genuine? I certainly would not put my reputation on the line with a pack that looked like that, even if I was 100% sure it wasn't resealed.
Erik we all know what happened... we all are sick... but YOU did an amazing job and made this video great to watch! You kept us in there and still hoping for the best! I’m glad that YOU were able to show us all what can happen and YOU will keep us all in the chase!!!!!!!!! YOU are why we all keep coming back!!!
Not saying the box wasn't tampered with. But Topps did make over 700 cards in their 1979 set. Wax boxes had 36 packs with 12 cards per pack. That roughly about 432 cards! It is possible not to get Ozzie Smith and star players from any given individual wax box.
Great job Erik...not your fault and BBCE needs to be held accountable. I was 16 when these came out and paid $10 a box....opened many packs and YES QC was not the best back then but getting an Ozzie was not that hard to find. The fact that there were NO checklists, too many doubles and too many commons I think we can't deny it being searched. AND pack #35 should have been caught by BBCE, worse re-wrap ever! Great job though and love your enthusiasm for the hobby, Congrats on 40K subs!!!
This box was obviously searched. I know you defend BBCE to the death. I would agree that you have a better chance getting an untainted box through them than a stranger. But they don't have a perfect record, not even close. Any objective witness could not be convinced that this box wasn't searched.
Great channel I just watched your opening of the BBCE 1979 Topps Baseball box and I agree there is something VERY suspicious. Only a few minor stars and NO checklists, Leader cards, or any real stars besides Yount. Good luck getting a replacement box and get well wishes for your daughter.
Bought a sealed case of these back in 1980 and don't remember seeing so many dupes per box , paid less than 300.00 for the case , wish I would had known
Nolan Ryan, Willie Stargell, Dave Winfield, Ozzie Smith, Rod Carew, Bert Blyleven, Thurman Munson, Jim Palmer, George Brett, Andre Dawson, Gary Carter, Mike Schmidt, Eddie Murray, Pete Rose Carlton Fisk, Reggie Jackson
My parents had a mom and pop convenient store and growing up I would go with my dad to the wholesale to buy inventory, I remember seeing pallets of these baseball card boxes at the wholesale and my dad would grab 2 or 3 boxes , wish I’d known these boxes would go for over 2k , I would have stockpile on them
Cards get flipped when quality control takes out bad cards. What should been looked at is the card backs and how many cards were in the box from each of the six press sheets. A letter A through F is near the copyright line.
Love your videos! Keep up the great work. Just watched your answer from the BBCE. I think they are right, I don’t think the packs have been searched either. If you look at each pack when you open them, the wrappers all tear at the same place for each pack. This usually indicates that the packs are machine sealed. If the were opened and re-glued, the wrappers would tear in different locations.
Hey Erik, I'm watching this after your livestream. Yours is the only baseball card RUclips channel that I'm a subscriber. That's because of your authentic excitement over cards from any decade, and bought from anywhere. And when you sounded so defeated on Pack 35, it was probably the saddest I'd ever heard you. Keep the channel going and I hope you get compensated somehow for the suspect box.
@@wax2thefuture647 EXACTLY. That's my point. But don't they claim to verify every pack? The implication on their site is that they verify wax packs and verify boxes...that would mean they need to verify all wax packs.
This box WAS NOT searched by BBCE. It was done by a group and sold to them. Whoever inspected it missed it. It WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT searched though. Some tips are, since revealing many only helps the searchers, are the offset wrapping. Every pack I saw was wrapped heavily to the left. There would be deviations in wrapping per box. Even if wrapped by one person. For pre- Donruss/Fleer especially, packs would be wrapped with some loose, some tighter. Very seldom would you find really "tight" packs from a fresh box. That last pack was WAY too tight. Especially for setting 40 years. Even setting on the bottom, it's too tight around the edges and corners. The wax over a period of years will separate and they won't be so tight. Cards have always had "stars" less per box, but NOTHING like this was. There's not a $5 card in it. Cards where more of a collectors "hobby" back in the day. Especially pre-1980. There have been money in them for years, but they DID NOT sort them for packaging like they do now from the factory. You would in NO WAY ever not find at least one checklist in a box of Topps back in those days. They where only worth money years later because so many where written on and few wasn't. Or they was just threw away what wasn't put in a set. Usually one kept for a set, one to keep track, rest was trashed. You didn't buy back then for "value" as much as it's done today. Checklist was less than a common back then. Duplicates in packs was fairly common back then. So dupes, does not mean searched. More than a couple packs per box would be suspicious though and a decent sign. Pack 35 was as clearly resealed as the last pack. There will be some packs wrapped crappy, but 35 was ridiculous. You can see where they got it too hot resealing it and warped the wrapper. Consistency in wrapping, especially off center wrapping is a dead give away. Even factory looking sealed boxes could have been searched so remember that. There should be no real consistency in packaging though. WAY too much of it in this box. ALWAYS check your packs for it before tearing into them. Wax packs that is. Too much consistency is the best giveaway. No checklists are a dead giveaway. Lack of stars not so much, but not good. The gum won't hurt you or make you sick. You're just going to chew for many years before getting it to where you can blow a bubble.
@@yubeeramensan25 They should have yes. But it's like everything else. People have bad days. May have been a new employee that's still learning? Maybe the boss just had the wrong tone with someone? You never know. Most reputable dealers get that way for a reason. They can't go thru the packs to actually see for themselves and these cards was for sure a group conglomerate. You can tell by the way there was so many of the same players in the same box and the same wrapping. BBCE doesn't have time do what was done with this box. Unless they have a group that stays in the background. This is a big operation type deal that does this regularly. I'd bet on it. There are other boxes that are the same way with different players. Every card nearly was so bad off center that they are worthless. This isn't BBCE. It just isn't. They'd be out of business in no time.
@@yubeeramensan25 People just make mistakes sometimes. Even the best trained. And like I said, who knows if it wasn't a new employee, or maybe just got promoted. BBCE will make it right with him and if they are smart, they'll pull some records and go after who they got em from. There will always be crooks though. Always has been. Always will be.
Really enjoyed watching this break. Brought back great memories. This is the year I started collecting cards as a kid. I was 9 years old. I loved collecting cards as a kid. I never thought as a kid that someday I would be doing the art for the cards. I did the art for a lot of the Topps Gallery 2018 set along with the box art. I did art for the Topps Gallery 2019 Preview cards and just finished up the art for the 2019 Gallery series. I hope my cards bring joy to others. Ill make sure to keep checking out your channel.
I've bought alot from BBCE and have found their boxes hit or miss the best boxes have pretty much all been FASC so i'll only do those now. But Lately I've been buying Rack packs from them and have had alot more success.
I remember opening tops football and baseball growing up, the cards used to stick together just like the gum did. I didn’t see checklists either, I used to get mad when I got a checklist!! Good luck moving forward
5:33 - These would have arrived by about April 1, 1979. Pre-Christmas of the previous year wasn't a thing until competition with Fleer and Donruss heated up by 1984.
I can't imagine BBCE would intentionally sell a box THAT bad. That's just terrible business. Too many repeat players, no checklists, prospects, league leaders, etc!
The problem isn't that they are intentionally trying to rip customers off. It's that they are authenticating boxes that haven't been properly inspected and doubling prices sometimes without actually knowing if the box has beem searched/tampered with. They are seemingly certifying these boxes and then taking the chance that they will be fine.
My favorite trio from 79 Topps is Pete Rose1)Regular issue Cincinnati Reds 2)Opee Chee issue same picture as a Red but Phillies on the bottom and a traded print on the picture.3) Burger King with a different picture and Phillies on the bottom.
I bought a complete 1979 topps wax box about 10 years ago and was able to pull 2 Nolan Ryans, 1 Reggie Jckson, 2 Carlton Fisks and a Willie Stargell among a few others but still have not pulled an Ozzie smith. I still have about 5 or 6 packs left that I have not opened yet.

I pulled 2 ozzies in 79-both were cut to the edge of the picture. Things id like to go back and undo in my life-i know what cardboard sounds like when the fibers shatter!!!
WOOWWWW.. I am very in and out of the hobby and was legit considering ordering a certified older box of cards from BBCE (not this expensive, mind you) but I 100% won't after watching this.
I stand corrected, after watching the video again I agree these are from sheets C where the star is Rick Reuschel lol.... No hall of fame double prints. Also I remember openning many packs in 1979 that had the gum in the middle as in the video and if memory serves on correct sometimes the gum was at the bottom of the pack? This box looks like the real deal,However a pro authenticator like bbce would probly know which boxes to buy and which ones to pass on. That's why I would never buy unopened vintage packs. Way too risky.

WOW! What a bummer. I can remember erik, back in the seventies, opening many packs and getting alot of doubles triples and quadruples. This box is pretty conspicuous. Probably searched. But with topps, back then, you never knew what you would get. Large set sizes.
The cards with the yellow stains are from the outside card against the yellow wrapper. So to see cards in the middle with yellow stains kind of gives it away that they've been gone through.
Hi. That Larvell Blanks card at 10:37 is cool. He comes from my hometown in Tx and fairly recently a local park was dedicated to him a few blocks from where I live (my dad knows the family very well & has officiated sports with his Blanks' brother for years). - also, the current Astro, Mayfield, also hails from the same small town here in Tx
Back than when I was growing up, they used a glue gun and a blow dryer. It is really difficult to detect a shady wax box if they really did a good job sealing it back up.
I’m from the Bay Area and I can tell that the majority of these photos were taken at the Oakland Coliseum. The background is the old bleacher section before Al Davis brought the Raiders back to Oakland and built what is now known as Mount Davis.
This is the worst box I've ever seen in my life! Nobody decent wtf...You can easily tell the packs were sealed back up plus that gum is no way 40 years old..I'd be Burning up inside my friend! You better be able to replace this junk of a box! Was there even a single Yankees or Red sox card in there? They atleast could of thrown in Jerry Remy and a Fred Stanley card!!! Unbelievable $2000 thrown in the trash plus I'd throw these cards right in the sellers face
The only non-common was a single All-Star card. That box was cherry-picked. Awful. EDIT: I DO buy the explanation (from someone else’s comment) that this was a combination of a few boxes from a case break, where the searchers packed Ozzie (among others) had and just threw the rest of the packs together to rebuild boxes.
So it wasn't resealed, searched or a frankenstein box after all. Amazing what Topps did back in the day to get product out the door. A box of entirely the C sheet. BBCE is pretty amazing and responsive. Too bad it wasnt the Ozzie Smith sheet!
If I had to put money on it, I would guess the back card of the packs were looked at, from possibly an entire case of these at one time who knows how long ago, and there is a list of cards that are "safe" cards where if the print run is consistent, and it was most of the time back then, then that pack can be resold with very little chance of pulling anything good. Robin Yount was possibly the only casualty so they had enough packs to make a certain number of "unsearched" boxes. There were articles in baseball card magazines back in 1989 on which cards to look for on top of Rack Packs and Cello Packs to find the good rookies. It isn't a secret and when there are thousands of dollars of profit to be made by shady people in a hobby that isn't going to get a lot of law enforcement attention, there are bad people who are going to jump at the opportunity. UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS COMMENT: Can someone confirm (possibly Erik) that every card in a 1979 pack is from the same uncut sheet of cards? I believe there were 6 different sheets after looking at auction sites. The sheet letter is in the bottom right hand corner of the card. If they are indeed always from the same sheet, the dis-honest person would just have to slide the side flap of wax pack over and see the sheet letter or the player if the card is right side up (and then compare it with sheet list C), and if it's from this sheet that only contains Robin Yount and pretty much all the rest commons, they could leave those packs only and open the rest. They can then just assemble boxes of these dud packs and have them authenticated.
You hit the nail on the head ! These packs were not opened and re-sealed like everyone believes ! All to do with coalation and who they can see through the wrapper.
Someone should make a spreadsheet that counts the number or each card pulled in this box. There were a couple that would surprise me were pulled 10 times.

I was buying 2018 Update for $45 per box in February.....I wouldn't spend my money on any unopened in the 1970's anymore . Matter in fact, I sold a cello box of 1975 Topps baseball to BBCE. It's worth more unopened.
The first pack opened had all the cards in the same direction....only pack like that
Who's to say that the other 1979 box that BBCE has in stock didn't come from the same person who sold them this box? If they offer a replacement 1979 box, the same thing might happen again.
The month and year the box is wrapped is written on the BBCE label.
$2000 for $50 worth of commons. Someone walked away with $1950.
Only one Yankee - THREE TIMES - and no Red Soxs in the whole box.
Tony Adams Seems legit.
53 royals zero red sox. Enough said.
Searched for sure.

$2000 for maybe $10 of cards. 100% searched.
I can't believe the $2000.00 cost of this 79 box. So So over rated!
100% TAMPERED WITH. Only a moron would think otherwise.
At least he got a John Wathan out of it😂
Not tampered with all the packs come from one sheet that happened quite frequently
Looks like those packs were went through and resealed!
Shit I want my money back and I didn't even get in on this break
We need to up-vote these comments on this video ! GO!
When BBCE sells these boxes, they should have an inspectors stamp, so they know who exactly verified them.
@@wax2thefuture647 😆😁
@@wax2thefuture647 How? As long as there is more than one you can't narrow it down without a mark of some sort. Anyways, even if they could, its about traceability. For the company AND the customer.
@@Term1backup Ok, thanks. Did not know that.
BBCE pulled a Star Search 1979 style, no Ed McMahon either!
This video sure leaves doubts in my mind about BBCE. I would like to see what their response is regarding this video
Rip BBCE
2 grand down the drain😬ouch
I've never seen such a savage searched box. Man oh man. BBCE needs to get its act together.
Why would you spend 2000 on a box when you can just get the big stars for 200 bucks
After spending $2000 dollars on any box of cards it's time to make an appointment with your local psychiatrist

@@mrbaumgarten1279 I love Munson and the Yankees but he is not a HOF'r and Erik asked for just that
It’s not just hall of famers, but almost none of next tier of player either...such as Munson, Dale Murphy, Dave Parker, Dwight Evans, etc
Not even a Keith Hernandez in his MVP season
Erik, I think you're handling this in the right way by giving them the benefit of the doubt. Let's see what they do. On the other hand, since they're the ones authenticating the box and charging those prices, one has to question their authenticating knowledge since this one obviously was tampered with.
Oh and if they replace it hopefully it comes from a different case (FASC)
Erik, I totally agree with you. I believe Steve Hart got taken on this one. Hopefully, they will do the right thing. This box was terrible.
BBCE needs to write down and keep a record on who they buy their second hand wax from. They would then have a record of who sold this crap box.
Man you're a good man for not blowing a gasket. But this looks really bad for BBCE for sure. How they respond now determines just how bad.
Jabs your the best on giving a credit It was definitely searched. I bought tons of packs that year and you always got reds and a plethora of stars. I couldn’t believe what i was seeing watching those packs opened and you should have gotten a check list at least every three packs at the most four Great job your stand up guy.
I love the 1979 topps baseball cards .
Jabs. You are so right. Oxzy Smith is nearly impossible to find centered. I’ve had 2 that were rediculusly off center and worth nothing
Yep got one over, on BBCE
I have to question how BBCE approved that horribly miswrapped pack...Who looks at that and says 'its ok?
@@daledimassi416 I'm no expert, but I have heard about the 'stripe' you are mentioning. It makes sense. My big question is if they were searched, it would be extremely hard to have all cards from the same sheet in the packs...but I think I figured it out. It could be some unscrupulous sorts had sheets they cut up and placed in the wrappers after they had pulled the original cards. Makes sense.
If what you say is true, Erik needs to confront them on this. Seriously, that's a HUGE oversight on BBCEs part.
Next to last pack was wrapped so badly, even an amateur like myself could tell it was searched!
Even if I knew with 100% certainty that the box was unsearched, I would never put my reputation on the line with that 35th pack.
You paid $10 a box when they came out? Only .20/pack, 36 packs, that's $7.20, you were ripped off!
@@thomasdaubert1114 lol. Ripped off for paying $2.80 more....compare that today then we are all getting ripped off pal!
This box was obviously searched. I know you defend BBCE to the death. I would agree that you have a better chance getting an untainted box through them than a stranger. But they don't have a perfect record, not even close. Any objective witness could not be convinced that this box wasn't searched.
Another BBCE Fail!
Great channel
I just watched your opening of the BBCE 1979 Topps Baseball box and I agree there is something VERY suspicious. Only a few minor stars and NO checklists, Leader cards, or any real stars besides Yount. Good luck getting a replacement box and get well wishes for your daughter.
I feel this box was searched also. BBCE certified it and figured it wouldn’t ever be opened and kept as a collectible. Lost a lot of respect for them.
They knew Erik would Rip it.
Bought a sealed case of these back in 1980 and don't remember seeing so many dupes per box , paid less than 300.00 for the case , wish I would had known
Nolan Ryan, Willie Stargell, Dave Winfield, Ozzie Smith, Rod Carew, Bert Blyleven, Thurman Munson, Jim Palmer, George Brett, Andre Dawson, Gary Carter, Mike Schmidt, Eddie Murray, Pete Rose Carlton Fisk, Reggie Jackson
My parents had a mom and pop convenient store and growing up I would go with my dad to the wholesale to buy inventory, I remember seeing pallets of these baseball card boxes at the wholesale and my dad would grab 2 or 3 boxes , wish I’d known these boxes would go for over 2k , I would have stockpile on them
Pack #34 didn’t have any cards flipped upside down....
So sorry Erik and all. Very suspect. The packs opened up a little to easy. Just like my 89 Fleer that was searched. Of course a big price difference
Thanks. Got you too
Hey Erik, I'm watching this after your livestream.
That's really unfortunate about the box. Thank you for going out and giving us the opportunity to see one of these boxes opened at least.
That last trainwreck of a wrapped pack...how does that pass BBCE?
I wonder if someone who works there who's job is to seal up the boxes with the stamp of approval is the one doing it
@@wax2thefuture647 EXACTLY.
No doubt on what you had wrote, but wouldn't the BBCE have more quality control before they have it wrapped?
how can someone miss something that's so obvious to their trained eyes.
MrJadedGreen Thank you for the explanation! Makes sense
That John Wathan will grade out a PSA 10!
This is a box of off cut expansion team commons and post sell of Oakland Athletics.
Mostly Mariners, Jays and expos
The way you handled the box was great. I occasionally watch your stuff but today I had to subscribe! Way to take care of your people
I collected between '75 & '81 and imo the worst year for Topps quality control was '79, but I love 'em anyway. Positive thoughts for Elsa!
I knew I always liked the oz for some reason. Rookie card in the year of my birth best pack of cards ever open.
Hey Jabs, When I worked on the Texas Rangers Baseball Team Grounds Crew from 87-89. When, I met Tom House Pitching Coach. He was an extra for the T.V. Show, Hogans Hero's with Bob Crane. He was one of the far back row extras in the line up, and did some spots in different scenes.
I remember buying packs of sports cards for 15 cents!.Oh the good old days.Wish I still had those cards today.
Was an absolutely searched box in my opinion. Love your channel hope you got your money back
Pack 6..Junior Moore coached me in college!! This is really cool to see you open these packs!!
I pulled 2 ozzies in 79-both were cut to the edge of the picture. Things id like to go back and undo in my life-i know what cardboard sounds like when the fibers shatter!!!
Good luck with the replacement, really sorry box
Thanks Breaks_N_Stuff !
Love the 1979 topps Ozzie smith rookie card
No checklists no doubt searched.
WOOWWWW.. I am very in and out of the hobby and was legit considering ordering a certified older box of cards from BBCE (not this expensive, mind you) but I 100% won't after watching this.
I was thinking the same but can’t afford this epic failure. From pack number 4 I knew something was wrong.

That box has been searched for sure
WOW! What a bummer. I can remember erik, back in the seventies, opening many packs and getting alot of doubles triples and quadruples. This box is pretty conspicuous. Probably searched. But with topps, back then, you never knew what you would get. Large set sizes.
Wow, what a bummer. Sorry to you, Mr. Jabs and all those who bought into this box break. :-(
Terrible no good cards from this box. If it wasn’t searched, it was last one down the line in 79’.
Thanks for sharing. God Bless!!
Sorry about the bad box. I hope it gets replaced and I wish a speedy recovery to your daughter.
I just got a 79 Topps Willie McCovey in a random envelope bought from EBAY!I have not gotten it graded but I would guess it’ll be a PSA 7 or better!
The cards with the yellow stains are from the outside card against the yellow wrapper. So to see cards in the middle with yellow stains kind of gives it away that they've been gone through.
The stains are from the printing, not from the wrapper. The only stains a wrapper will cause are wax stains.
this box looked searched a lot of the same cards they need to fire whoever said that is a legit box....
Searched for sure back in the day! A Damn shame!
The background is the old bleacher section before Al Davis brought the Raiders back to Oakland and built what is now known as Mount Davis.
love the 79s
This is the worst box I've ever seen in my life! Nobody decent wtf...You can easily tell the packs were sealed back up plus that gum is no way 40 years old..I'd be Burning up inside my friend! You better be able to replace this junk of a box! Was there even a single Yankees or Red sox card in there? They atleast could of thrown in Jerry Remy and a Fred Stanley card!!! Unbelievable $2000 thrown in the trash plus I'd throw these cards right in the sellers face
Robbie Starz lol
I didn't see Bombo Rivera from the Twins.
Robbie Starz Fred Stanley?? You mean Bob Stanley?
@@BoomBoom77156 no, Chicken Stanley! Yanks Utility player!
@@BoomBoom77156 or even Paul Stanley! His Donruss Kiss cards are worth than anything that was in this junk box!
The only non-common was a single All-Star card.
That box was cherry-picked. Awful.
EDIT: I DO buy the explanation (from someone else’s comment) that this was a combination of a few boxes from a case break, where the searchers packed Ozzie (among others) had and just threw the rest of the packs together to rebuild boxes.
if BBCE dosnt work with you , I would stay away from wax and just buy cello packs . Good Luck and keep up the great videos !
i work for Beckett and i can tell by how the packs opened that it was not tempted with
Erik you're the best brother. So sorry about the box but congrats on 40k.
So it wasn't resealed, searched or a frankenstein box after all. Amazing what Topps did back in the day to get product out the door. A box of entirely the C sheet. BBCE is pretty amazing and responsive. Too bad it wasnt the Ozzie Smith sheet!
That very first pack looked packed funny... 😢
Rico Carty and friends packed that box.
Played ball with Rick Manning and his brothers growing up in Niagara Falls NY.
the most valuable card pulled was the Robin Yount. But, they both took a gum hit. So, whoever searched the box had no choice but to leave those.
They can then just assemble boxes of these dud packs and have them authenticated.
good theory. this box was suspect big time. just like a broken record spitting out the same cards.
You hit the nail on the head ! These packs were not opened and re-sealed like everyone believes ! All to do with coalation and who they can see through the wrapper.
Someone should make a spreadsheet that counts the number or each card pulled in this box. There were a couple that would surprise me were pulled 10 times.
