May God bless the Sheikh for his service. It is also interesting that he agrees with Ustadh Muhammad that non-native speakers play an important role in teaching Arabic to other non-native speakers. This view is contrary to the modern teaching theory which insists that a student can only learn from a native speaker. But based on my experience learning Arabic, I agree with the Sheikh and with Ustadh Muhammad.
Maybe one can learn MSA (fus-ha) from non-native but to get a more rounded a broader understating, including learning some dialect and cultural usage is very important. From my experience, the best way to learn is to be taught by a native speaker.

What a legend this man is. From very humble beginnings and as a non-Arab, he rose to become a master in the science of Arabic language. A blessed man insha'Allah
I read all the three Madina books when I was an undergraduate student of Physics. I also read the English translation and commentary of the books (3 volume set) by Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq, a Nigerian Arabic lecturer. The result is that I can read ANY Arabic book and understand it easily. Also, I know the roots and derivatives of ANY Arabic word presented to me. When I opened the famous Arabic Language Book Series (النحو الواضح) and (النحو الكافي), I found out that I know almost all the topics there. I became an Arabic teacher myself. Honestly, after studying those Madinah books, one can decide to go and study Balaghah. He is a great author. May Allah grant him Jannah al-Firdausi
I learned Madina Book from recorded classes by Brother Asif Meherali at LQ Toronto. Never in my life I love any subject except this Arabic Language with Madina Book. Salam from Malaysia.
@@iftekhartuhin one thing you can do to make vocabulary easy is write down for example "هزا باب" (this is a door) on a sticky note and place it around your house. Then you’ll have loads of notes you can look at everyday. In sha allah you’ll enjoy book 1, it’s very short and easy and I found it fun

You have the Western academics that study Islam according to their Western method, then Arabists that are specialized in the study of Arabic and then you have the orientalists that focus on pretty on academics,art...etc and they are generally not even specialized in Islamic studies. This is why most of well educated Western academics regarding Islam don't talk the same nonsense orientalists do regarding Islam. Arabists on the other hand praise the Arabic language and specially the Quran. So out of all of these people, orientalists are by far the most unacademic and dishonest.
@@abdulrahmanraheem423 They do, but the focus is on wide range of literature from modern to classical, and with understanding of Abbasid poetry, newspapers, novels etc. It is hard to read Arabic literature without the presence of Islam. Characters in novels recite hadiths, even poets like the notorious Abu Nuwas, near the end of their lives, turn to God and leaven beautiful munajads or poems of repentance. With politics, you got references to Palestine, and everyone mentioning God, both Jews and Arabs. In short, it's very hard to study Arabic deeply without also studying Islam. But the road to Rome or to Jannah is open, and the way to study the religion isn't always best done under a secular scholar or a Court Scholar, but Allah guides whom He wills.

Jazak Allah kheiran for arranging an interview with Dr Abdul Rahim. Many things said by Shaikh were very inspiring and eye opening. Personally I feel that towards the end of the interview video format turned rather to marketing or promotion for your institute, trying to get a public approval from a Shaykh (interesting, the video ended before any feedback from Shaykh was given). If you truly desired to get an advice or feedback from Dr Abdul Rahim, I feel it would be more appropriate to do it privately. And Allah knows best.
@@a.m5892 This will be a very vound foundation for your Arabic inshallah. But you have to practice in conversations in order to be able to speak fluently.
I'm so glad he says that the case endings should be taught from the very beginning. This is how I started and it was so much easier and clear. Then I changed teacher and school and all said, that it was not necessary and it felt as if someone had taken away my orientation in the language... same with the dual... Also on Arabic RUclips the endings are rarely explained (but in the better ones at least written). I'm convinced that if you do not learn both in the very beginning you will regret it later and after all it will be way more difficult. All my fellow students who did not learn it from the very beginning struggle with the case endings and have a lot more problems progressing with the Arabic grammar. My mother language is German, so I am used to cases, we even have four and do the declination with everything. So for me it was rather 'natural' that different cases have different endings. Without them, it is impossible to learn German and Arabic alike. At least if you aim for a more educated language.
Thanks for writing such precious books for learning Arabic language. I m also from India and proud to know that he was an Indian. I m also learning from his books these days. Very sad to know about his death. May Allah reward him with Jannat and his favour to his noble man who have helped non-arabic people to study and understand the holy book of Allah.

Literally tens of thousands have studied Arabic through his books alone at the Islamic University of Madinah. Add to that thousands of others who have studied it across the globe as well. May Allah have mercy on him, forgive his sins and grant him jannat ul-Firdous.

I'm so glad he says that the case endings should be taught from the very beginning. This is how I started and it was so much easier and clear. Then I changed teacher and school and all said, that it was not necessary and it felt as if someone had taken away my orientation in the language... same with the dual... Also on Arabic RUclips the endings are rarely explained (but in the better ones at least written). I'm convinced that if you do not learn both in the very beginning you will regret it later and after all it will be way more difficult. All my fellow students who did not learn it from the very beginning struggle with the case endings and have a lot more problems progressing with the Arabic grammar. My mother language is German, so I am used to cases, we even have four and do the declination with everything. So for me it was rather 'natural' that different cases have different endings. Without them, it is impossible to learn German and Arabic alike. At least if you aim for a more educated language.

Thanks for writing such precious books for learning Arabic language. I m also from India and proud to know that he was an Indian. I m also learning from his books these days. Very sad to know about his death. May Allah reward him with Jannat and his favour to his noble man who have helped non-arabic people to study and understand the holy book of Allah.

The author of the Madinah Arabic books that are taught in the Islamic University of Madinah's Arabic college has passed on.
What a legacy he leaves. Literally tens of thousands have studied Arabic through his books alone at the Islamic University of Madinah. Add to that thousands of others who have studied it across the globe as well.
May Allah have mercy on him, forgive his sins and grant him jannat ul-Firdous.
