Woody may in fact be the biggest clown owner in the NFL just behind Jerry.
You made Erin the GM and he brought in hackett, and bud receivers with no money for an offensive line. It was doomed from the start. Rodgers and Adams will be somewhere else next year and the tanking plus carousel of coaches will begin.
There should be a post season bowl game between the Jets and Cowboys called the Turd Bowl, which crowns the most inept team of the year. Obviously the loser of the game wins the trophy.
They’re not “automatically” drafting a QB. There’s not even a can’t miss QB in this draft and the two who are mentioned to be best in draft will be long gone before we pick.
If the new head coach comes in and plans on playing Rogers right away, you know you hired the wrong guy for the job. Rogers needs to be on the bench or sitting in some Ayahuasca tent tripping balls but he's not a football player no more. He got his soul snatched from him when my boy Kirby Joseph intercepted his last pass in lambeau Field
As a life long Jets fan who watched preseason practices at Hofstra, this has been the most disappointing season of my lifetime. From losing Jermaine and Mosley, to having our kicker morph into a gimp, to our defense being decimated partially because of a dumb holdout, to a QB who we all thought would have more wins than Zach Wilson, it’s just been a really painful season. And we still have 6 games left!
As a life long and still very loyal JETS fan living in NY, I have to agree with Rich. This IS the worst most disappointing Season ever as a JETS fan. Mainly because of all the talent & promise we had as a team. Rodgers was back healthy. Hopes were high. And for things to be this bad is so disheartening. I know we’re not mathematically out of it, but come on, it’d take a miracle & a whole lot of help from other teams to squeak into the playoffs. It’s hard for me to get excited about rebuilding. I am so tired of rebuilding. We’ve been rebuilding this team for decades now with the same results. The only kind of building that would get me excited is if Woody announced they were building a New Stadium for the Jets. Preferably one that is actually IN New York! The Jets are the only US team in any sport that’s never had their own stadium. That is so sad. We need a home of our own. I truly think that is the only thing that will lift this Jets Curse once & for all. And if not? At least Jets fans like me won’t have to commute all the way to Jersey to watch them lose! 😆 Seriously Woody. Build us & the team a New Stadium in Queens or Long Island. 🏟️
It clearly all Rodger's fault lol. skipping preseason work to travel, offense is 100% his, etc. Rich not blaming him is Rich's way of playing "both sides". defense isnt going to play when your fire their leader and head coach. anyone with basic understanding of a locker room understands this. guess they dont teach that in journalism school.
Na. Its all their fault for not playing hard. Blame Rodgers for his share, which like it or not is smaller than most people want it to be. Until Woody is gone - nothing matters.
Firing Saleh was insane. They had one of the best defenses in the league. They’ve actually kind of figured out how to score now but can’t stop anyone. It’s an absolute mess
Rodgers was always overhyped by the media circus. Rodgers always used gimmick hard counts and lucky rpos to hide he could not be a complete qb all the time. Fragile shoulders and self centered player to ever play the position. 1 year wonder. Packers gave him a lot of help to win. He was the main problem.
I'm gonna love seeing if Erin the drama queen finds a team next year willing to trash the team with him there like the Jets did. It'll be even better if he gets his best bud Adams paid this time to go with him.
I’m watching Aaron. As a skins fan I watch certain teams and no more. Green Bay wherever Rodgers plays Romos broadcast and Washington. Don’t care about his record. Game of the moment is good enough
Congrats on reaching a new nadir of incompetence. As a Raider fan I fully understand the feeling of, "Well, at least it can't get any worse." But look out - somehow it always does. 🤣
I genuinely feel bad for rich. He is such an informed person and has to be linked to the jets right now. I am so glad aaron rodgers ghosted my broncos before a deal could be struck.
It’s to the point now where if they’re playing a Jets or a Cowboys game on prime time I am not even watching it. It won’t be competitive it will be ugly and hard to watch and probably end in a blowout. But good god does the NFL love putting those two teams in prime time 😂
Getting a QB in their 17th year or whatever it was isnt a good idea. Everyone knew and knows it. Other QB's like Elway, Montana, Marino knew not to keep playing years before Aaron Rodgers and the Jets did.
Jets fans were AGAIN talking endlessly trash on the Bills before the season! I LOVE watching how delusional arrogantly confident Jets fans get every year and then watch them crumble and drag themselves back into the holes they crawled out of 🎉🎉🎉
the best idea woody johnson had all year was benching rodgers. the next best option would be to cut him in the offseason, draft a rookie qb, and sign a vet for the rookie to sit behind
What do the Jets do with Travis Jordan if they draft another QB in R1 this year? I thought he could’ve been drafted much higher if he’d been healthy and he may never see the field for them
As a Bengals fan, the only joy of the season is watching that pompous fool bring down an entire franchise. Love watching Rodgers' hubris finally burning him and those around him. Am sorry for the Jets fans in general. They deserve better.
Rodgers is a teamkilling cancer who undermines leadership. Sure the owner is terrible; most of them are. The defense is tired of keeping teams under 21 points and still losing, or being on the field all game long. Pointing out the bad game of the defense is like pointing out the very least of their problems. The kind of guy who preaches teamwork above all but constantly acts- in the most obvious way- in his own interests and never takes accountability for anything.
I do not get it why everyone is blaming rodgers ... they wanted him so badly that they said you can bring whatever you want. Then he did not perform at an elite level which they thoughr he would and then the card house broke. Zach wilson was worse than rodgers but at that time they had a functional defense. Btw rodgers did not fire saleh or douglas - woody thought he has to do something that the team gets better! Do you "fire" the qb in which you have invested the next few years to get a ring or the coaches that are there for years and are not performing well? The coaches insisted that they should not bench rodgers because this would really be a locker room killer! Jetsy stuff 😢
Relegation is needed. Peel off bottom 4 teams in total from the AFC & NFC and they make their own division next year. They play a schedule against themselves and a few teams sprinkled in from the main league. Winner of the relegated division gets promoted back to the real NFL and bottom team from NFL goes to the relegation league.
It was NEVER going to work! Rodgers has not been good in years, except in Aaron Rodgers' mind, and even then, he's never been a leader, he has a gigantic ego, and he's 40 now. Add on top of that a dysfunctional organization, a history of losing that has been ingrained in the very fabric of that team, and here you go... Total disaster. Another one. And the worst thing? Even with a new regime, it will continue just like before. You have my sympathies, Jets fans
I don't blame Rodgers. He hasn't played well, but maybe 1 loss can be attributed to him. After The Athletic article, it is quite clear the Jets have been dysfunctional for some time.
Someone please explain why the jets most explosive plays come from a checkdown to breece hall that explodes to a 30 yard gain . Rather than this they have nothing
The article in The Athletic shows exactly why Woody should not be involved in football decisions. He basically undermined the people that were hired when his brother was at the helm. His decision making is garbage and, per usual, the Jets are the laughing stock of the NFL. It’s exhausting!
Yall deserve every bit of this. Blamed Zach Wilson, constantly called this a “championship” level defense, foolishly spent draft picks on rogers after going down this road before with Favre 😂 the jets are pathetic and I love that Brockman gets to watch you suffer first hand

@Gungho73 I can't blame him for wanting to do other things. MOST, if not all, of them still do their businesses. But to be dreaming of being an ambassador while firing people left & right with seemingly no plan (unless it IS McCarthy) is seriously fugged up.
I wish my owner would just own the team & trust in the professionals they hire. But that's Jerry.
Anyway, that is a valid point.
I just cant believe an aging quarterback who chokes during the playoffs and transferred to a famously mediocre team would result in disaster.
They had a top 3 defense. This year it's gotta be around 20. Kicker cost them 3 games and the defense caused them 2. Wasn't just the qb
Rich it’s over for Aaron he’s absolutely a washed up has been, who is a cancer to any Locker room.
All eggs were in the 40-years old Aaron Rodgers non-vaccinated egg basket
Tyrod Taylor should be QB1
Nope do you remember Buffalo? That guy can't hit the ocean.
They’re not “automatically” drafting a QB. There’s not even a can’t miss QB in this draft and the two who are mentioned to be best in draft will be long gone before we pick.
Rodgers = drama. Rodgers = throwing the team or teammates under the bus in 10 different ways. MOVE ON..
Clean house and it is Aaron's play thats bringing the team down.
Ownership Toxicity Level High
Rich Aaron Rogers has ruined you're Favorite team period.
Rich has to leave the door open for possible future AR interviews...or supplement ads.
Rich to Chris many times in the recent past since Brady's retirement: "Welcome to the rest of us."
Firing Saleh was insane. They had one of the best defenses in the league. They’ve actually kind of figured out how to score now but can’t stop anyone. It’s an absolute mess
The Jets offense has averaged 18 ppg . That's 26th in the NFL.
This is what happens when you cater to a has-been quarterback’s massive ego.
The Jets only have relevance to suffering Bears' fans in that we can say "at least we aren't the Jets".
Couldn't agree with you more
Some things look good on paper but just don’t work out. That’s life.
I'm gonna love seeing if Erin the drama queen finds a team next year willing to trash the team with him there like the Jets did. It'll be even better if he gets his best bud Adams paid this time to go with him.
I wanna have a beer with you in El Segundo, Rich !
I keep seeing people say the Jets should hire B Flo, and if I'm B Flo, I wouldn't touch that job with a 10ft pole.
Can't wait to see how these guys become off season champs again next year
I’m watching Aaron. As a skins fan I watch certain teams and no more. Green Bay wherever Rodgers plays Romos broadcast and Washington. Don’t care about his record. Game of the moment is good enough
What?
Aaron Rogers parties with Gaetz
Why did the Jets give Rodgers, a nearly 40-year-old declining QB, a 3-year $112.5 million contract, with $75 million guaranteed?
Congrats on reaching a new nadir of incompetence. As a Raider fan I fully understand the feeling of, "Well, at least it can't get any worse."
But look out - somehow it always does. 🤣
I genuinely feel bad for rich. He is such an informed person and has to be linked to the jets right now. I am so glad aaron rodgers ghosted my broncos before a deal could be struck.
Man who could ever seen this coming
It’s to the point now where if they’re playing a Jets or a Cowboys game on prime time I am not even watching it. It won’t be competitive it will be ugly and hard to watch and probably end in a blowout. But good god does the NFL love putting those two teams in prime time 😂
May have just been one win but it was huge
Getting a QB in their 17th year or whatever it was isnt a good idea.
Everyone knew and knows it. Other QB's like Elway, Montana, Marino knew not to keep playing years before Aaron Rodgers and the Jets did.
LOL I do have Hall and Adams on my fantasy team.
Jets fans were AGAIN talking endlessly trash on the Bills before the season! I LOVE watching how delusional arrogantly confident Jets fans get every year and then watch them crumble and drag themselves back into the holes they crawled out of 🎉🎉🎉
How could you draft a QB in the first round without consulting Rodgers first. Probably should draft a 1st rnd WR. (Arguments made against GB) 😂
the best idea woody johnson had all year was benching rodgers. the next best option would be to cut him in the offseason, draft a rookie qb, and sign a vet for the rookie to sit behind
I feel for Jets fans but being a Bills fan, not as much as I should.
Don't sleep on Anthony Richardson (AR). However you can sleep on Aaron Rogers (AR).
The Jets have become the greatest circus in history. Barnum and Bailey are taking notes.
What do the Jets do with Travis Jordan if they draft another QB in R1 this year? I thought he could’ve been drafted much higher if he’d been healthy and he may never see the field for them
Everyone: Any team Rodgers goes to is going to be a shitshow. Eisen: Why did it not work out?
As a Bengals fan, the only joy of the season is watching that pompous fool bring down an entire franchise.
Love watching Rodgers' hubris finally burning him and those around him.
Am sorry for the Jets fans in general. They deserve better.
Go ahead Rodgers, retire a Jet. Wisconsinites don't care about you anymore.
The biggest win of the Aaron Rodgers was the game he got hurt against the Bills.
I 1000% believe Rodgers is done at the end of the year
Rodgers is a teamkilling cancer who undermines leadership.
Mark Sanchez was a better Jets QB than Rodgers
Aaron didn’t play defense but he did play offense 😂
Time to bring Flash Gordon #19 back.
Well, the problem is they didn’t go “all in” like the Cowboys did. Oh…wait😮!
How jets fans are not screaming at woody to sell the team is beyond me.
Don't be surprised if Woody spends his UK Ambassador time negotiating the move to make the Jets the first Euro based NFL team in London...
If the Jets are irrelevant then why do you take the time to mope about them every other day?
And Hackett still has a job. Rich making excuse for rogers. This is all rogers
Blaming the defense rich? How about all those interceptions AR threw. LMAO
Message to OWNERS;…..SIGN THE CHECKS, HIRE THE EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELD AND GTF OUT OF THE WAY
Yall deserve every bit of this. Blamed Zach Wilson, constantly called this a “championship” level defense, foolishly spent draft picks on rogers after going down this road before with Favre 😂 the jets are pathetic and I love that Brockman gets to watch you suffer first hand
The Jets would be a great opportunity for Sean Payton. They would “deserve” one another.
Has the team really been disappointing, or did fans -- and not a few pundits (like Rich) -- wildly overrate it?
The NFL is beginning to have a billionaire toddler problem. What an effing joke the Jets, Browns, Cowboys, and Panthers are.
If you don’t want to be a Jets fan anymore, GET OUT! We don’t want half way fans! You are with us in our darkest hour or you are against us!
It would have to be a deep league to still roster the Jets D in fantasy
You could've had Baker who sitting @ home for $7m, but you wanted Rodgers...
😂
