Good video let me add: the handle and zip cord allows you to take it to the table. And it’s hot and can’t be handled otherwise. Santa is getting me one and plum so excited and I don’t care if it takes longer and long as it tastes like I’m at the restaurant.
How long does the keep warm function work without drying or burning the rice? I'd like to make rice in the morning and have it to eat all day long, so fresh quality rice even as I consume it and the amount left in the pan goes down... I know, and then I awoke from my dream, right?
My first rice maker was bought in the 1970s, at a Japanese food store right after I got back to the States from duty in Japan and I've been using them, various models over the years. I've been using them ever since, so coming up on 50 years now. I've never had a rice maker take 45 minutes to cook 2 cups of rice. In fact, among others, I also have a 20 dollar cheap Aroma from Walmart and even that cooks in just 20 to 25 minutes. I'd be concerned if I spent the money on a Zojirushi and it took 45 minutes to cook rice. It's faster than that to just do it in a pot stovetop.
That is the wrong model per your Title. They are different. For example GAMA rice is an option or Steel Cut Oatmeal vs porridge. And the "correct" model tells you the time it takes instead of the clock

Does the keep warm shut off after a certain time?
Thanks for the nicely done review!
There are small *stainless* “rice measuring cups.”
I bought a pair of these cups at Amazon. They are useful in general.

This is not the lgc model like your title says. Yours clearly says lac model
Why did the timer say 17 min, but it took 45 min? Or am I missing something?
