And actually, the government does not care for whether the undocumented immigrant should be guaranteed a path to freedom or not. It is not about deserving. It is hard and expensive to become a citizen even if you have the cleanest record. I know many people have been in this country for twenty plus years. They have always paid their taxes and they have very clean records, but even after spending tens of thousands of dollars on immigration forms, they are still unable to attain citizenship. It’s like those old style online degrees that cost 100k - then the grads couldn’t get a job b/c the school wasn’t accredited, they were not qualified...etc. Sad part is-many times- the students don’t even realize how poor their education was/is. It is also sad that these “schools” target minorities. It makes zero sense that she clearly doesn’t understand how the unemployment rate and other governmental stats are determined. I learned all this in Econ 101- a required course in the core curriculum for ALL majors at my university - BU should be ashamed of themselves and lose any accreditation they have (if any). I am really embarrassed for her. She’s young it’s not too late to get a real education!! UCF has a wonderful strategic MBA program that is extremely rigorous and affordable.
