An Astir from the club, and a private ASW 19. did it ourselves with the inspector we trust, and the inspection plan fresh from the certificate holder. Not much worse than a very thorough annual inspection. For others may depend on the type. In the range of a few hundred €. When you are not afraid of it it can save yourself thousands when buying one close to the 3000h. Look for a well maintained glider, and a type from middle of the road and good type maintainer support, like Schleicher or Lindner for Astirs. Only good experience with these. Avoid exotic types, and ones without a type maintainer. They are cheap for a reason.
