I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed the small lip that is created using molds, but I felt this lip was likely to interfere with how the marbled resin would sit. On a larger scale, the lip plays a much smaller part but in much smaller molds, the lip can cause the next layer of resin (so the marbled resin) to sink to the middle instead of staying put. Removing from the mold first would allow for the new resin to run off the edges and to also dome which is more likely to help keep the marbled pattern you make. Hope that helps ☺️
