Today I saw the film about him with my school. My friends were sleeping and laughing, I was in tears. What a legend, what a composer. He's the only man capable of speaking with music instead of voice. Rest in peace, dear Ennio. ❤️
I watched once upon a time in america with my dad when I was a little boy in the 80s (I had to leave the room at certain scenes 😂) I'm now 45 years old and this song has played in my head every day since I first heard it. Beautiful masterpiece ❤
Playing a song is one thing and composing a song is totally a different thing, I remember watching a documemtary about Ennio Morricone where he described himself as a poor piano player but man; I really think that he was guided by angels or somethings to compose those great music , unbeatable forever. R.I.P Ennio Morricone.
El Meastro, I have no words to say how i feel when i hear this music, just feelings! May he rip, Ennio Moriccone, never forget, thank you so much for your beautifull music!
Beautiful and it is extraordinary to see Ennio playing probably my favorite piece of music ever. It would be great if he would play the whole piece. He is my favorite composer ever. Greetings from Croatia.
@@lechat4602 Amo Agosti in modo smodato.
Indeed, my dear Maestro Morricone, who I consider a guiding light in applied music, was not a professional pianist but rather a composer of exceptional excellence. A crucial aspect of his compositional technique, which deserves emphasis, is that he NEVER used the piano at all during his creative process. This is particularly extraordinary considering he composed for over 500 films, averaging about fifteen tracks per film, and produced more than a hundred pieces of absolute music. My dear maestro composed directly on the staff, translating his musical ideas into notation without the aid of intermediary instruments. Every contrapuntal line, harmony, instrumentation, and orchestration was the result of his pure musical thought, immediately transferred to paper. Unlike many contemporary composers who often rely on technological tools or collaborators to develop their ideas, Morricone managed every aspect of musical creation personally. This skill, far from being a mere curiosity, represents a mastery that should be the standard for anyone with a solid background in composition. Not being a virtuoso pianist does not diminish his talent in the slightest; on the contrary, it allowed my beloved mentor to fully concentrate on the conception of complex and memorable music, which defined an era and enriched the history of music and cinema. I really can’t stand all these people who upload stuff but don’t know the difference between Once Upon A Time In The West and Once Upon A Time In America.
This is one of the (one of the) themes of "Once upon a time in America". You have to consider two things: First: Maestro Morricone's production is numerically immense. Second: nowadays, most people (in truth they are more «flocks of sheep» rather than people) «enjoys» about works, arts or relationships with mediocrity and indifference. Just as today people are treated in the same way: with mediocrity and indifference. Considering these two aspects, it is no wonder that it happens more and more often to find ourself in front of the concept that you have explained. Today, everyone is «running», everyone is busy; they "going", and even they don't know where they are "going", and into this chaos, mediocrity and stupidity grows: It grows exponentially. Just as materialism and approximation grows because «attention to detail» and «precision» has been buried under the ashes, by a system (musical but also «social») that promoted mediocrity, and at the same time, downgraded the art of detail. That is! G.

That theme is still brings a lot of emotions and almost tears after so many years and so many times hearing it in and out of the film.
Stupendo
His music will be with me as long as I live.
The main man of my lifetime.

Thank you so much
