50.000 capacity isn't enough with 35.000 on a waiting list for season tickets, the Doug Ellis stand will need expansion or replacing as well. Many fans are attached to Villa park in a big way,but a move to a purpose built new ground would probably make more sense & if done well in a traditional style with modern facilities would be the best way forward I believe, but not another soulless bowl for sure,as that wouldn't go down well at all...... up the mighty Villa!!!
I wouldn't read to much into that waiting list. No guarantees they will take up the seats if offered. With The current pricing model 50k would be more than enough.
That 35k is a myth. Where are they for cup games? I’m a member and have been for years and you can get tickets for the unfashionable clubs easily. With a 40k stadium, 30,000 season ticket holders and an away allocation if that list was full of people who actually turn up tickets would sell out in minutes for every game not just the glory hunter Champions League games or the likes of City and Liverpool. I bet there’s people on that list who haven’t been to Villa Park in the last 12 months. 50,000 is enough and there’s always the Doug Ellis to rebuild if we need another few thousand seats. It’ll get rebuilt at some point anyway because the concourse is awful and Chris Heck will be revamping the hospitality.
@@kevinjones6328it really pisses me off actually. Where were all these so called fans when we were playing the likes of Rotherham on a Tuesday night in January in the championship!!!!
This was something on the cards but no longer happening for a number of reasons. The main reason is the infrastructure around the stadium. Not enough train lines/services and access in and out of stadium. Sad!!
If there isnt going to be a new North Stand anytime soon. Two possible options 1) knock down the existing upper tier keeping the lower in place temporarily losing around 3500 seats and build the new stand from the back replacing the existing lower tier when ready or 2) Utilise the existing stand increase concourse areas, reprofile the seats depths, add a further tier and fill in the corners
They should just rebuild on the fields in-between bodymoor heath and the belfry. The land is waste now that HS2 I going through it. And Aston is a shithole
This is not happening there are initial plans to make villa park bigger and better then this idea there is 35 thousand on a waiting list for season tickets the north stand will be done eventually but will most definitely be even bigger then Holt end because of the space behind the north stand . The Doug Elis will made much bigger to with the Holt done last witch will be one massive stand made higher .villa are just holding back because there priority is commercial growth first and what happens on the pitch villa park will be probably the best original stadium standing by the time they have finished
@@tomgillespie so Bernabéu, Allianz Arena, new Camp Nou along with Spurs, Everton etc are all soulless? You may prefer old style stadiums or even be jealous but that’s a sweeping statement Tom! Villa Park is SACRED. All loyal fans would be massively opposed to moving to a new location with a crappy modern, soulless arena.

The rebuild project was scrapped earlier this year no?
While Heck is still around there will be no expansion...

Heck out.
50000 is less than 10,000 more than what we already have - not worth it. UTV
they ditched the new stand ages ago they said they would just make it better
1:02 holte end is a two tier stand mate
The pound is strong against the dollar recently 😂
The reality is that Villa don’t want any changes as they cancelled their expansion plans.
Pumping hundreds of millions into Witton would be a foolish move. The area cannot support a modern stadium.
Sell it and build something near the airport and NEC
Town centre - or there is little point.
Bit out of date isn't it? The whole thing's been kyboshed
They desperately need to upgrade the Holte End
No North Stand at present pleas check before releasing video.

Bodymoor Heath Villa
They found a rare blue nose caterpillar there so that's a no go
Villa aren’t moving forward with the new stand anymore. They’re just going to refine what they already have.
Will there be a new North Stand?
This is so out of date. It has has been suspended indefinitely by CEO Chris Heck. Irrelevant and fantastical

1:06 "the Holte end is one of Europe's biggest SINGLE-TIER stand" - OH NO IT ISN'T - 2 (TWO) tiers you twit
No point in building a 50k plus stadium if they'd struggle to fill it.
It will still look outdated 😂
And global standards are irrelevant to a sport which is British...yes...BRITISH...UTV
Looks dated compaired to other Premier league grounds Spurs, Man City West Ham, Arsenal, now Everton lowest capacity
Yeah those soulless bowls look so much better! 😂🤡
