    First of all happy thanksgiving! From what I was told by a few researchers, it would be ideal to release sheepshead that are 21-22inches or greater. At those sizes, they’re very strong breeder for the stock. 20in or below can be kept without much worries

    Hey Thonny buddy thank you so much for telling me the way you cook it I always wanted to try the half shell but the other way you said you bake it in the oven with the garlic parmesan that must be awesome what seasoning usually put when you do on the half shell like just salt and pepper Thonny buddy 😊😊

    Thonny does it again! Nothing but good, positive, info.
    Quick question, does anyone here know which area to look for those tree crabs?
    And no, I don't want anyone's honey spot, I just never had done it before, and need some beginners guidance, you know to go and get them myself.
    Thanks to anyone, and everyone

      Find mangrove trees, look around them. Another good choice are fiddler crabs which you can find near water by flipping rocks. Good luck!

    sheepshead is the highlight of Florida trip for me.
    im from California and visited in Jan when it was slow fish season and very cold as you recall.
    I drove to st pete / pass a grill and caught my first huge sheepshead on the mangrove crabs from some park i forgot the name.
    i was so happy, i screamed like a kid who got a pc for his bday... the whole neighborhood was clapping haha.
    took it back to the air bnb and cooked it, it was so freaking delicious.

    Years ago before all the trails were built a friend & I took a canoe through all the mosquito ditches looking for a place to fish. Had to pull ourselves through in most places. Tons of tree crabs fell in the canoe. We had no clue they were good for bait. Wish we had you tubers like you back then

    My first encounter with a giant sheepshead was in Ft. Myers Beach on the intercostal. I was installing tile on a pool deck but kept noticing the docks aluminum ladder moving up and down. When I looked to see,I saw a 30 inch sheepshead. No joke and it just looked at me while chewing at the barincles on the ladder. No fishing pole,just trowels. I'll never forget that.

      @ you and Bush need to do more “how to catch bait” videos. I am a licensed charter captain from Detroit Michigan area that just moved down to the Tampa Bay Area in Pinellas County. Been watching you 2 for quite a while and I’m learning more. Great job.

  • @chefslifechronicles4650
    @chefslifechronicles4650 2 дня назад

    Weedon island pier is closed down? That sucks. But I wade on the left side and walk across to the oyster bed. It's only chest high in the middle.

    • @Thonny
      @Thonny  День назад

      I haven’t done that yet but I bet it’s good fishing on the other oyster bed

    • @chefslifechronicles4650
      @chefslifechronicles4650 День назад

      @@Thonnyit is cause you have that channel to the left in front of that house with the dock. Incoming is prime and it gets deep and fast flowing. It seems deeper now and that oyster bed is smaller.
