Last minute high-G jink, like a fraction of a second before it hits. Timing is key. Also make sure the missile is on your 6 because that's when the sudden maneuver can be most effective in creating a deviation between the missile's trajectory and your aircraft. These missiles are the only ones in the game with an intercepting trajectory (how missiles should behave in reality) and notching does nothing to throw it off their course. But it's difficult and you should be as masterful as Tuga to pull it off consistently.
“You have got to be $***ing me!” The unofficial motto of anyone in the backseat of a plane on a Wild Weasel mission. Also, anyone who drew the short straw and has to be Trigger’s RIO. Combine the two, Good Lord... (Excerpt from the after-action report:) After post-mission landing, Radar Intercept Officer Stevens was observed crawling out of Spare 15’s aircraft, and then curling up in the fetal position, incoherently muttering “Why... Why...Why?” Flight Mechanic Avril “Scrap Queen” Mead was also noted to have taken one look at the damaged, half-melted MIG-31, and begun chasing Spare 15’s pilot, TAC Name Trigger, around the entire airbase, hurling various metal tools and compound profanities at Spare Squadron’s biggest lunatic. All silly imaginings aside, brilliant job breaking the game in awesome ways again, TugaAvenger.
Airborne Filip. Here’s one more: (Excerpt from after-action report: Operation Two Pair:) Spares 8 and 10 lost to SU-30 piloted by enemy ace codenamed “Mister X.” Spare 15 engaged “Mister X” in dogfight, and managed to hit, and some say, drive away the enemy ace despite harsh winds, rough terrain, multiple attacks from the enemy ace and multiple (4!?) reported lightning strikes to aircraft. Post-landing and hanger parking, Spare 15 Radar Intercept Officer Pamalo was observed to sprint away from the aircraft to the airbase’s makeshift chapel. Upon being checked on by TAC name Trigger, Pamalo attempted to ward off Trigger with holy book and crucifix while screaming “Back, devil, retire to hell” repeatedly. Flight Mechanic Mead noted Spare 15 aircraft to have nearly-burned-out engines, multiple fried electrical systems, and “a smell worse than ass” in the back seat.
axolol networks Thank you. Glad you liked it. Here’s one more: (Excerpt from after-action report: Operation One Pair:) Spares 7 and 9 lost to MQ-99s during Roca Roja base attack. Spare 13 lost to wing-strike with cliff. Enemy bases completely destroyed and drones effectively countered largely by Spare 15. However, Spare 15 Radar Intercept Officer Pritchett was observed on radio to have screamed “Cliff,” Bridge,” and “Pull up” on numerous occasions. Spare 15 was temporary lost from radar and was presumed to have crashed. This was revealed to be false as Spare 15 emerged from a tunnel, the wreckage of four Erusean JAS39 Gripens and Pritchett’s extended expletive trailing behind. Post-mission landing, Pritchett was observed to all but throw himself into the arms of Zapland security staff and demand between sobs: “Throw me in solitary, I don’t care, just get that cliff-loving, tunnel-flying murderous madman AWAY FROM ME!” On a related note, Flight Mechanic Mead noted much of Spare 15’s wings were worn from debris, and discovered the issues with removing vomit from rear seat oxygen masks and hoses. The resultant string of profanity was described by guards as “foul enough to make a sailor blush.”
Probably because he used a mod that allows multiplayer-only parts to be used in the campaign, since those parts have a greater effect on the plane than the basic parts that are allowed in single player...
@@Lt.Foulke I don't think he is, I managed to avoid them as well, but a similar manoeuvre would usually have different results, but looks like Tuga here managed to nail down exactly what he needed to dodge the missiles repeatedly, and maybe had more than 1 attempt at this

This just reminded me of the good days of getting locked, the going full A/B on the MiG-31 and watching the missiles ran out of fuel before they got to you.
😮😮😮Made that look easy (I know it most certainly isn't)! How many attempts did this take? Qudos for actually using the flying brick to further showcase that it isn't outright manovrability but a combination of timing and flares to achieve this. Excellent vid Tuga! 👍👍👍👍🏴 PS I double checked to make sure I was giving credit to the right person! 😋
This is insane, I had tried doing this once but could never shake off the missiles. Also, are you going to do the AC Infinity in real time stream on the 19th?
Oh no, this is NOT easier, this is a lot harder than doing it the normal way! This took me a crapton of tries, and wouldn't get you S rank because you need to kill enemies as well. I only made this op show how you can evade a missile in an emergency, and well, for the challenge.
I recommend planes with lacm like the Rafale or gripen, or at least the lasm to snipe the radar towers whilst under the clouds, and only focus on those radar towers and ignore other targets to lower the risks of taking damage!
All lv 2 engine parts and some maneuverability. I took all of that just to have some consistency on this run, but the angles, dodge and flare timing apply for any case you find yourself above the clouds.
A lot harder. I just wanted to exemplify how you can dodge a missile in an emergency. You can't S rank this way anyway, as you won't kill enough secondary targets.
I just needed to say that however inadvertently you’ve done so much to help me keep my head above water during this hellish year and to get me to push my limits.... I wish you the best and take whatever time you need because we’ll always be here when you get back; your health matters and after al the pick me ups you’ve given me over the years itd be remiss for me to deny you your rest!
Gotta confess my current break is more due to being madly in love with Fire Emblem: Three Houses than any life issues, but regardless, your words mean a lot. It's been hard on everyone, and I'm glad I've been able to provide some entertainment in the middle of all this. Thank you.

MiG-31 as a SEAD aircraft... huh.
It can carry ARMs in real life. But alas, 7 only gives it air-to-air SPWs...
@@TugaAvenger I actually never knew that... but I can see why it would work relatively well on SEAD ops.

If you familiar with perfect deflection from Sekiro, you can carry on play the mission like this.

I want still a Ace Combat X remake xD!
What difficulty do you play on?
Pretty much always Ace. In this case, you can tell by the missile damage and interval between them - in lower diffs it's much larger.
