Nice demo Scott! The original AmpKnob is the best plugin I've come across in terms of performance, one of the few plugins where latency can get into an acceptable range to be usable as a standalone practice tool on my setup. Will definitely grab the bundle while it's available at the intro price.
Killer demo track! I can wholeheartedly agree with what you’re saying about the ampknob series. They’re great for songwriting, and who cares if “they sound the same”? I think having a plug-in which provides a good baseline for what a good guitar tone is proves to be really inspiring.
The cab is a huge part of the tone and you can swap it anyway. It just doesn’t have a EQ stack really. Killer amp sim straight to the writing template.

I know, it's different produce a bit , but for now not sure what to chose to ameliorate my guitar rigs... WICH ONE ?? ✌✌
I wish the video and plugins like these came out 10 years ago when I picked my first electric guitar in my hands. I STRUGGLED A LOT to get a good tone with the plugins I've been recommended back in the day - it took me like 4-5 month to get get a tone I was almost satisfied with... Aaand it sucked. Would be so good to start with such a plugin and learn to play instead of dialing up tones when I had no idea what a hell I was doing
I don’t know what it is, but somehow the Rev C takes actual hardware pedals before the audio interface super well (TS style, RAT, whathaveyou…). I tested the line of Peaveys now for a bit and this isn’t the case at all. Is that due to the more complex structure of the plug-in itself?
To make the guitar sound different, dial the bass a bit different. High gain sounds much the same anywhere. Cabs, IRs, speakers will change things more than anything else. Post processing, eq. To my ears, these sound dialed for downtuned guitar. Or, CoB. Could totally hear Alexi riffs thru these plug-ins, especially the latter 2.
Well, those peaople are the guitarists that care only about the gear than practicing and song writing. That's funny. For me, I don't care if pod or real amp was used in the album but if the song is good or sound decent. As for the plugin it looks fantastic. Maybe I will buy it next month only for record feature. I always forgot to open the DAW and hit record button. And as always. Awesome Brutal playing! Good Job!
Great vid bro!! I know you aren't a Mesa or Peavey guy. What amps do you dig for Death Metal? ENGL's? I own a Powerball II and I'm not entirely pleased with it. It's a great amp, but there's something missing I guess. Cheers man \m/
This sounds great. I'm not sure why people hate on 5150's at times, they are BUILT for brutal death metal. Your tone rules with the BC Rich. You do such a great job promoting amp sims. Yeah Kyle is super cool! I think for your style you should get a Marshall with a Mr Scary mod. Engl's are too compressed, 5150s are a bit too saggy for super fast picking. Marshalls have a dry, present/in your face tone and you can hear the quickest of notes because of the mid range attack. Most marshall aren't that cool, but when you add the Mr Scary mod, it correct the wimpyness and lack of saturation. You want the CRUNCH, not the chugs. Especially since you do a lot of black metal chords. Cheers dude!
I've bot an updating video coming out soon, got bronchitis right now and can't do much of anything. Moving the whole studio to a new room and re-wiring.. but absolutely didn't give up left-handed guitar at all!

As a Bass player I like these plugins. They sound really good. I don't like the Bass knob that much but I like these. I love Bogrens Ir's also.
