Woohoo Wildcat. I got 2 of these on prerelease. Took advantage of the free collector booster buy a box limited offer. Second box, fractured foil english overlord of the boilerbilges last pack. I’ll take it. The fractured foil cards really pop! 🎉

My first collector booster today was a fractured foil Enduring Tenacity. Second Booster Japanese Enduring Vitality. Was pretty lucky with the display, top 5 cards pay it completely and more.
Thanks for the video! Coming from Bloomburrow, the thematic whiplash is rough. I'm not feeling this set at all.
I get it. It’s definitely a weird transition…. I think Duskmourn will produce a fair amount of playable cards though.
I really like the Enduring Vitality and it could be crazy in a heavy token creature deck.
I think the enduring cycle is really strong. Commander play for sure and hopefully some find their way into constructed as well.

I've only opened 6 play boosters, but I've gotten 4 mythics. Perhaps we are just lucky!

Seriously tho, Screaming Nemesis is one of those, 'good" cards that are just gross. Glad I won't have to see these at an LGS. Just not gonna go. MTGA is just fine for me. Maybe Ill Patreon it up again soon and get in on a battle for the boys?
Nemesis could be really strong.

Pros: great artwork, powerful cards
Cons: the flavour of survivor humans and fanny pack planeswalker and the showcase frames ruin the fun for me
Too much pop culture reference magic cards and less originality (valgavoth and the haunted house are neat conceptually) in the last few sets and I’m not a fan
Fave card of the set: unstoppable slasher cuz I love zombies lol

Fair assessment down to the pop culture stuff. I think that when it comes to a horror movie set that it’s okay to dive into those because horror movies have become more meta and even refer to themselves at times. The survivor humans are weird. I wish they were either super battle hardened and buff or super tattered and looked like they were hanging on for dear life. These survivors look like bad ghostbusters.
