  • As a swimmer there is plenty of gear on the market from many many companies. Some gear amazing, some gear not so much. In this weeks vlog I'm testing out the brand new Cobra Ultra Swipe goggles from Arena. Although the KNZB (Dutch swimming federation) is sponsored by Arena, I am not individually sponsored and I hope I've given you guys an unbiased look at these one of a kind goggles. :)
I've spent many years training in Cobra Ultra goggles, but the big thing about the Swipe is that it hopefully keeps the fog away. Something that can be a game changer for me and my fellow swimmers out there feeling blinded due to unnecessary foggy goggles. The colour combination is awesome, but does the fog stay away? Check the vlog and let me know what you guys think. ;)
    xoxo

Nice review. Good thing you mention not being sponsored by the brand and I like the fact that you give your honest opinion. I thought it was hard to believe their claim of having mastered none-fogging-up. Decided to wait for an honest review and now I know what to do (I’ll just keep using hand soap)

I tried my best. I'm still using the goggles now and O love the Cobra Ultra, but the anti-fog idea hasn't impressed me yet.

Found the these for $33 (£27) on with a discount code online and said, why not? They only had the outdoor ones, though (indoor was like £45).

Beslaat nooit!! Nadeel: zijn gewoon niet cool….

Just spit some saliva before wearing goggles and they don't fog at all 😁😁

I wish goggle makers would just stop putting anti-fog on their lenses, it just doesn't work long enough and the AF residue is stubborn to get off. The best AF is baby shampoo, just mix some up in a small squirty bottle (1:6 shampoo to water). Squirt it in, swill it around, tip it all out and put the goggles on straight away. Don't keep taking them off or swill in pool water. They should last a whole session or a race. Saliva is good but you have to keep doing it and it's a bit gross. After a session I wash my goggles in fresh water, pat dry with a soft towel and wipe the inside with a quality lens cloth. To get rid of old anti-fog residue soak the inside with white vinegar over night and polish the lens with a lens cloth until it's all gone.

You can get some classic old school malsteen goggles with no fog coating, and do that technique.....

Spitting on goggle works nicely , though people dont do that because of shame , but our saliva on the inside helps goggle not fog for sure tried and tested 😂😂 no kidding
