Subhanallah, this has happened with me too. I asked Allah for a sign, opened the quran and landed on a verse talking about the people who ask for signs, subhanallah
SUBHANALLAH I was once helped by a verse that came up after I had strange vision of a spider while sleeping. The next day I remembered one of the Surras is titled « The Spider ».I looked it up. The first verse says : « Did you not think We would test your faith with some trials such as illness, hunger, poverty etc… I needed to hear this at the time because my faith was not strong enough Mashallah 🙏🏻 Thank you my Brother in Islam. I’m also a revert since 1983. You have made my day 👍🏻😃❤

Then tells one of the most amazing stories of receiving a sign from God I've heard. And I replied it really touched me. What in the world is offensive about that? Even how the way the sign was given was amazing When he was asking for a sign it was as if he's ordering Allah to give him a sign and his arrogance made him reject all the previous ones and have the audacity to ask for another But then after he gave up and opened the Quran that sign wasn't given because he asked for it (he already give up on asking) it was given out of Allah's mercy and it was irrefutable If the sign was a thunder strike or something similar he could've rejected it because it could've been a natural occurence and it coincidentally aligned with him but not that verse, that is no accident.
Tears of joy. Seriously brother this is how I felt when I realised I am nothing and My Lord is Everything. Liberated and humbled I found peace as a servant.

I converted to islam when I read chapter al tarek in the Quran which mentions sound of star like knocking and exactly this is what science has discovered
Masha Allah he is so easy going a true aussie in nature but with so much calmness. The ayat that he got to read was SO AMAZING bcoz Allah Says signs are all around you yet we pay any attention. May Allah Ta'ala keep him firm on His Deen and may be a sourse of guidance for hid family. Ameen Truly there is no compulsion in religion for non muslims, but once you enter the fold of Islam, then you have to follow and obey Allah and obey His messenger. That is Muslim submitting to the way of Allah.
MashaAllah. This is one of my favorite revert stories to this day. Stumbled upon this again after about 5 years, early when I'd just reverted. I laughed for how candid and openly he told his prejudice and "worldly logic", and cried instantly as soon as he told what the verse says in the Quran that he randomly opened. Barakallaahu fiikum.

Suddenly, my laughter ceased, and tears welled up in my eyes. Since I was in my office, I couldn't cry aloud, but I wished I could.
The moment he asked for a sign and Allah shows him the sign through the beautiful way brings tears on our eyes... Alhamdulillah... May Allah keep our faith steadfast in the world.
