I made many OCs while watching Fool's Gold. One of them was an albino monkey called Fruit Bat. But when I was watching this, I thought "Fruit Bat, step aside for this one." And so when I was watching this, I imagined Fruit Bat's melanistic sister, Tangerine in this. She is very annoyed at Ohio Jack right now. She gets it. He's scared. But he could at least go with her since company makes someone less scared. She vents about it to Fruit Bat later.

Okay the whole rope joke actually made me think of a useful magic item. A 50 ft rope made of hemp and metal wrapped together with scale decoration on the metal. When activated the rope will climb up vertical surfaces to the nearest ledge, find an object to tie itself off to within 10 ft or if there isn't any the end forms a spike to attach itself to the ground.

Like-- my first thought was, "Sips could be in place of Oz becuz.... Yellow?" Then I thought, "Nah, Erina's more believable as a playable character in a dating sim..."
@@demongirl1019 Erina, as a "Magical Girl" would freak out the Coven (mostly Joy), but Sips could fall in entirely. Especially if you gave him the cursed looks, and make it into Green - that color has one less character anyway!
Edit: Damien, Dahlia and Aaravi ALL have anger issues, Sips wouldn't be out of the line, especially if everyone else is a "monster" around him - he wouldn't feel out of space that much.

I still think Yellow for dialog color is good- but everything else you said to Sips fitting in well with the other characters makes me really happy. Man, now I can imagine him causing chaos with Damien and Scott and I'm loving it, Sips cursing people for fun and them cheering him on. 🥰 boi deserves happiness
@@Senok13 Everyone but Gothi would probably cause Calculester to short-circuit because of idiocy. I feel like Sips would befriend and Val, or become a competitor of them.

Sips gave me an idea for a character concept, one that would likely only be allowed by certain DMs. An awakened animal that is a druid with a wild shape of human.
I'd allow that as a DM.

The inclusion of the use of a D20 is something I've wanted in a game ever since I discovered D&D, even more when I found Fool's Gold, as well as Ben's channel.

So like many of those of the 2000's... that wanted "Warrior" or "Courage" and the tattoo artist inked on "WONTON SOUP"
When I first saw Jack's shoulder, I wasn't sure if it was a tattoo, or if he actually put some cybernetics in his shoulder. Honestly I think both of those things would make him queazy, but this is an alternate universeJack, I guess. More muscles, and a foreclaimer tattoo.

I was trying to help the Fool's Gold Crew by telling them that the chat was gone for over 5 minutes, because it was bugging me, so much that I thought is going to get banned. It was also 3:30 AM where I was when this stream was happening and about 2 minutes after I gave up, Felix noticed.😤

Watched this as you were streaming and now watching it again because you guys are awesome! I hope you guys make this a full game but if you don't it's understandable.
I just had an idea pop into my head that I will sadly probably never get to do. In high school, I had a few classes that gave me access to photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (I made my profile picture one day when I finished the daily task early) and I'd love to attempt a Vector art portrait of Felix as Jack. I wouldn't even attempt to do anything more complicated because while I am decent at both programs, I'm not that good. Adobe's monthly subscription payment to use their programs function sucks.
I gotta play the demo again and name .y character fettuccine and see if Gothi reacts.

I’m super excited for this game! And I’m going download it as soon as I can! (But no rush to get content out) Also another game I play my a dating sim and I can’t tell if I love dating sims or this is just a great quality sim with awesome, loveable characters!
That thing at the very beginning about the dating sim being made on a whim and it consumes your life, that’s kind of how me and my brothers started playing D&D. My brothers said sure out of sarcasm thinking it would never happen and then a few days later there I was with books and mats and dice. The first few sessions went horribly and I had to take the stuff away because they weren’t even murder hobos. They were just defiling anything and everything they could. We had the worlds smartest and strongest 6 year old dating a demon. Now 3 years in we have such amazing adventures and laughs between the four of us.
It often takes a couple tries in my experience- the first few sessions are always clumsy and awkward with a new group or a new, drastically different campaign after a long time playing in one setting. Pushing through that is so great. Highly recommend recording your sessions (for yourself/whichever players like to go back to them) because you'll go back and see SO MANY FLAWS that are easily fixed early on.

I think I mentioned it once in a comment for a Fool's Gold video, but it would be cool if after the story ends, Felix tells the party what could have happened, because there's no way he didn't plan for other events and decisions.
There is actually a bug in the game! when I named my character Potato, Gothi didn't go ape sh*t!
(For real though, I absolutely love this game and it just brightens my day when a campaign episode comes out! 10/10 You guys are AWESOME!)

LOL - i played the Demo, before i look the video, and i DO choose (almost*) all the same way, as you did in the video, you simply just made it them to be so interesting, that people just HAVE to choose those options... (*The only exception was i didn't told Ohio Jack, that i only came to look at him, when we spoke the second time... But i was really tempted, to do so.)
Edit: I get a not mentioned option, how coul Jack get a tattoo - one of the most ordinary way, how tattoo's born: he get drunk. Not just tipsy, or groggy, but knock-out drunk. In that state it would be possible, that even he was the one, who asked for it! (Otherwise i believe he would be too scared to even talk to the tattooist...)

Good start for something cool. Would like to see how it goes on in the future. I guess it started with the dating game idea. Did you consider going in a point and click adventure similar to deponia? I feel its far in that direction already you have the plot, the art the characters , just more riddles and items to take and use somewhere?
Hearing Gothi talking with the voice of her actual player and not Dingo's is so weird. Kinda like watching dubbed version for your whole life and then you watch the thing in its original language..

For my (I think 11th) birthday, we had a little game involving random foods dipped in chocolate. This was a decade ago, so I can't remember exactly lmao. When I was a kid, I ate graham crackers with Easy Cheese. For a while, I enjoyed it. I also ate a cooked larva because I had a teacher who had a class where they tried it, and it was actually good. Reminded me of sunflower seeds, tbh.

I meant for her to be the one that balances Sips out, but eventually I made her his mate. He finds her very lovely and helpful. She plays the tambourine, is good at weaving and likes singing. She loves kids and telling them stories. She also has a cat named Toast. Don't ask why.

That joke snowballing into something real happened when I was participating in a ToA campaign. I realized I had no idea how my characters would be labeled with BMI since I am in a wheelchair and put heights and weights that felt like they might be appropriate. Almost all were severely underweight, but the rock gnome druid I made for ToA was morbidly obese. I imagine Violet from Willy Wonka after becoming a blueberry for the shape. A party member called the character McThiccums, and since I never finished with that group, I renamed the character as that.😂
