Captured this very bright rainbow yesterday impressive and well I'll say it's essentially a giant prism effect because of all the water droplets refracting the light or bending the light in such a way that you get to see the full spectrum of light that is visible wavelengths which is what we can see so sort of like a natural spectrometer. that's just my short version go and, look it up for more info lol.
