Those puppies are adorable! Great video once again. Thank you to Earth Breeze. I use it at home as well, and I absolutely love it! Poor Walter having a completely unwanted bath, LOL. Walter was the name of my ex-husband. This Walter is a lot cuter than the first one.
I use that Earth Breeze laundry soap also. It works well, stores easily, and each envelope will do 60 regular loads. The amount of envelopes that you guys have in that box should last you a long, long time.
Nefra is absolutely beautiful, I love Arabians, they’re full of character and are so pretty. If I were in America, I’d definitely have her as my first choice first adoption. Hayley is amazing, she’s such a hard worker and desereves so much recognition for all she does. She’s lovely.
Just checked the weather, 34 at Horse Plus and same here in Massachusetts. But warming up tomorrow and in the 80s there soon. Dr. Lydia could use a tranquilizer gun to get horses like Chance!
I follow this wonderful Rescue and love every episode. Today's reminded me on the time I got a Chincoteague foal and it was time to castrate him. All the girls sat in the stall with hay bales around, "Breeze" and watched the procedure. All the guys and farriers couldn't watch. Kinda funny! Glad the rescue got so many great packages today. And Tawnee and Jason, what a wonderful woman the donor who passed was. May she R.I.P.🙏
Haily, you are a young woman after my old heart. I wear T-shirts all year round. Year before last my neighbor thought I had lost my mind when she saw me deicing the windshield on my car one freezing morning. I thought it was nice out.
39:1649:55 so we have Haleigh as our narrator / tour guide... I always wonder. Finally figured out their name spellings too... Twins are Haleigh & Maycee & I think the Hailey that's not a twin, from out west, is Hailey...
There aren´t any slip leads there. Those consist of collar and lead in one with a special carabiner on and when you touch that the lead and collar it comes of in one go a slip lead is used for greyhounds during lurecoursing and also when they are walked to the traps for racing. What you have been given are regular collars and leads. Those collars and leads are of good value for shelter dogs.
Had my doggie Lady put down on 15/10. She was 18 yrs and could not walk any more. *If I was close to you I would have adopted an doggie. Love your daily happenings. Please don t let the nay🥰🥰🥰💞💞🙏🙏 sayer s stop you from doing this. I cant wait every morning to watch. Sorry I m hopeless on these devices sorry about this mess.
Baxter's walking around like what the heck did you do to me. Something don't feel right. I don't know what it is but something don't feel right! Pacing...
35:16 I have a question here about letting horses graze/eat right after sedation. When I had my horses' dentals done the vet would always remind me to not let them eat for at least an hour until the sedation had completely worn off. He explained that it would highly increase their risk of colicking because the drugs also have an effect on their digestive system. Is this warning obsolete nowadays or do you use drugs that don't have this effect and cannot cause any colics? Thank you ❤
I am wondering, Haley, would it be good to ride that horse up to pasture and let him help you? Or is it too soon in training? You tell me, I am a greenhorn.😂😊❤
Do other rescues contribute to the shots, spay and neuters for the animals that are transferred to their facility? They would have to pay elsewhere to have this done on other cats and dogs at a much higher rate I'm assuming, so it's only fair to contribute to the intake costs of spays, neuters and vaccines that HPHS provides.
Since they are working with other non-profits, it probably doesn’t make sense to charge them. Besides, the other rescues are providing a benefit to Horse Plus by getting way more exposure for the small animals at PetSmart adoption fairs and the like. There are not as many folks wanting to drive into the back woods at Horse Plus to see the few small animals they usually have. 😊
Most horse rescues don’t allow breeding for a simple reason: they don’t want to adopt out foals. If they take in pregnant mares or they take in foals that’s different. But they don’t want mares bred because then they will have to adopt out the foal or wait until it’s weaned. It’s better if stallions are gelded and mares are spayed. Then they can be riding horses. Animal shelters do this too. Dogs and cats are spayed and neutered to prevent overpopulation.
AGAIN, I'm talking about the 2 GOATS not stallions. These goats are a very rare breed of Valais Blackneck. Fewer than 1000 in the US so the 50/500 rule is in play for purposes of breed preservation. These goats were almost gone to extinction. While I agree overpopulation is important, so is preserving the gene pool on some breeds of animals. This is one time I disagree about castrating them. Hopefully the owner shows up or HPHS finds a farm raising them and needing 2 bucks to diversify their flock and the breed.
You can't pay a female horse.. the surgery is too risky on their abdomen. Castrating males is policy but they will try sndvensure no breeding of the females through adoption checks and contracts
I wish you would NOT castrate the 2 goats. There are fewer than 1000 of these very rare Valais Blackneck goats in the US. Hopefully owner shows up or you will look for a farm that needs 2 bucks to diversify their herd. This is one time, the gene pool needs to be the more important consideration.
They have to their a rescue it’s illegal for a rescue to adopt out an un castrated goat or animal. Especially because there a huge rescue they would loss lots of followers, etc.
Most rescues have certain requirements horses have to meet before they are adopted out, some are required by law others are just rules the rescue has so its different everywhere, for whatever reason either it be medical or they have a condition that can't can't expected for a home to care for
Because they castrate everything. Mostly the best think to do but when it comes to rare breeds, Horse Plus and all rescues need to think outside the box and do what is best to preserve the gene pool.
A Stallion looking for love can be a dangerous boy. You might be sitting in the saddle, and he may have other ideas...so your horse will be dealing with him, with you on her. Dangerous. That's a very reasonable thing to do to protect everyone. If you breed they keep stallions very separate, like far away.. 😊
Because stallions are not the best behaved fellows and have to be kept separated from other horses. And they definitely don't want more babies to find homes for. Just common sense.
@@micheledavis4516 I'm not talking about stallions. I'm talking about the 2 "angry goats" that are a very rare breed with less than 10,000 left in the world.
That's the normal amount of poop in pastures, horses kind of poop a lot and there are a lot of horses is said pastures so yes there is, if it didn't get cleaned regularly there would be way more
Haley is so good to the horses. I love the Doctors and all the staff. ❤
I love seeing these daily slices of life at Horse Plus. 💙

Yes I love her narrating too!

Dr. Jeanna looks so pretty today. Nice video.
She really is absolutely beautiful, I don’t think she realises quite how pretty she is, I think that adds to her beauty. Beautiful inside and out.
Love Lynn’s giggle ❤😂 about 3 minutes in… Thank you Campbell’s and Earth Breeze.

Baxter is a gorgeous horse. It looks like he's not going to get too big when finished. I wish I lived closer. I'd adopt him, I'm in AlbertaCanada.

Where is Honey´s little friend? 😔 Thank you for all that you do!

Great video guys
Loved how concerned the kitty looked at the castration 😂

Have you thought about asking if there is an animal chiropractor available who can visit occasionally? I have one for my animals.
The places you send the kittens and puppies to that help get them adopted are only no kill shelters, right?
Yes, they’ve said that in previous videos.
Did you think that an organisation dedicated to rescuing animals would send them to a kill shelter?
There aren´t any slip leads there. Earth breeze is a great product. It cleans great and there are no heavy plastic containers that end up in the landfill.
I will like to try Earth Breeze now, sounds like a wonderful company!
LOVED that
❤❤

Very sad about your losing your long time family member Lady- it just makes it feel so empty doesn’t it?
I have been using Earth Breeze for over a year. I really like it and I like not buying detergent in plastic jugs that are impossible to recycle.
Wow that sound lol
Baxter's walking around like what the heck did you do to me. Something don't feel right. I don't know what it is but something don't feel right! Pacing...
Suppose to have snow in northern AZ on 10/17 at 6500 elevation. I’m at 6060 so I’m disappointed!
I feel your pain.

The handle on the ball is for the horses to grab … maybe if you offer them the handle they will get the idea!
Thank you I wish you could Chuck Norris and I like❤💯💯💯💕💋🔙

Good work guys!
I’m not quite sure why, but I worry about Keith.
Might be something when you have volunteer days to have them pick up rocks in the pastures around the waterers. Just a suggestion.
I just looked on your website for the adoption available. Do you have a separate website for the dogs and cats?
Do other rescues contribute to the shots, spay and neuters for the animals that are transferred to their facility? Did y'all do anything with Baxter's teeth when he was knocked out?
Most horse rescues don’t allow breeding for a simple reason: they don’t want to adopt out foals. If they take in pregnant mares or they take in foals that’s different. Launxry soap will e good to wash all those halters face fly .masks etc...
Weed eating 😂 we call it strimming in the uk. Will honey be able to go outside soon ?
Does Honey ever get pasture time?
We dont talk about Bruno!😂
Hi what makes a horse a permanent resident?
Most rescues have certain requirements horses have to meet before they are adopted out, some are required by law others are just rules the rescue has so its different everywhere, for whatever reason either it be medical or they have a condition that can't can't expected for a home to care for
Why do they get castrated ???
