Four Crowns was one of my first filmic memories. The guy's face melting off and his head spinning around have stayed in my head rent free for 40 years.
RE Four Crowns: I saw the end of this movie (the break in and then head spinning bit) when I was a kid and for years i thought this was a fever dream or something I invented, I had no idea the batshit crazy images i remebered were for real
I really hope to see Akademia Pana Kleksa and Seksmisja (the best science fiction movie of this year, and the best Polish science fiction movie and one of the best comedies ever) here, and Widziadło in the horror section :)
So at fan expo in Denver there was a panel. The ten worst movies of all time. Captain invincible was on the list. I ran home and watched it because yeah it's bad but oh my goodness so much fun.
I remember renting Warrior of the Lost World as a kid, purely on the promise of the awesome VHS box cover (come to think of it, we might have rented the Betamax at the time!) it was TERRIBLE! Even as a little kid I thought it sucked and I will always remember it being the first time I was disappointed by a movie.
There's some video games on the Commodore 64 called The Four Crowns of Adelim (ruclips.net/video/crub25SQ1W4/видео.html) and the Price of Peril (ruclips.net/video/LNdrfSIWFdA/видео.html). Maybe it's a stretch but they seem inspired by these films, even if it's in title only.
So, you have it written as '80s, 80s, and 80's - do you have any idea which one is right, or are you just happy being right coincidentally one third of the time?

I saw it at the theater, but every time I would talk about it, NO ONE had ever heard of it!!
These 80's Project Videos make my week! Love them!
Yor's world, he's the man!
He's always on the run he never sees the sun
Yor not wrong.
Hey it's The Paper Chase guy!
I watched "Yor" in movie theater in 1983 with my mother (I was 8 and she came along). She still blames me today...
I live for the 80s project!
I love Captain Invincible saw it on TV when i was a kid and went and bought a ex rental I still have it 41 years later.
I was 19 in 1983 and a huge Sci-fi/Fantasy nut and I've never heard of any of these movies except Yor, which I only found on video later in the 80's!
International trash, mostly. Not like the American garbage shown on TV.
Can't wait for the books as well!
Gotta love the 'New Shmoo' t-shirt! 😂
This is another reason I love Fridays!
The story that The Prize of Peril was based on also inspired the 1970 German TV movie Das Millionenspiel (The Millions Game).
Love the 80's project! Thank you!!!

I can honestly say I've never heard or seen any of these films but I'm going to look into them
Saw Yor in the theater and yeah, it was quite memorable for being what it is. Gotta mention the poster for Yor is awesome, too. Count me a Yor fan.
2:10 "Do you have any fruit to declare?"
Once you start doing half-sies on a scale of 1-5... just do a scale of 1-10 already.
Man, 83' was a big dinosaur year.
Love Yor the hunter from the future I use to read the comics when I was a kid
Do not skip Warrior of the lost world. It's an absolute gem...
About time! Let's goo

The bullshit song in Return of Captain Invincible is classic.
