Which game do you want to record? Is it old? Also, make sure you add game capture only after opening the game. It's a one-time procedure after which you can use that game capture for recording that game. So here you have to create new game capture for each new game.

Ok, so I saw your last comment. Now how smooth your recording is gonna be is decided by the capability of your system and your OBS settings. Now games like GTA 4 or GTA 5 requires a lot of resources to run and also for recording them if you are recording it in both high game settings and high OBS settings. So, first of all, you have to keep in mind the capability of your system ie your systems RAM and GPU and optimize both your game and OBS accordingly. Just tell me your system specifications. Now in case of OBS, it's usually a resource hunger software when we talk about RAMS less than 6gb and GPU's less than a 960mx so I would rather recommend using software like dxtory which provides you with a vast range of plugins for optimisation and provides high-quality recordings.

Alright, TFN first of all don't worry this is one of the common problem found in OBS nowadays. This issue is most commonly encountered in windows 7 and Pc are with low config so\ I guess you are using win 7 and even if not here's how you can fix it! First of all, you need DirectX control panel or dual installed in your PC check if it is by typing in dc in the run box If not get it here:- www.mediafire.com/file/1vhqoxk... Now what you have to do is add OBS to the exception list by select the OBS.exe from your installation directory after selecting it to check force wrap and add it. I guess this will solve your issue. (I will soon be doing a video on this)

Its not working When I click game capture there is not tab saying windows
