WOULD LOVE to see you do a reaction to TomoyaStudio (same drummer, just a dedicated drumming viewpoint!) Jibun Rock ruclips.net/video/QKYZlRBPYU0/видео.html
Oh my man. You haven't heard anything yet. They are the best band ever. They are the perfect storm all 4 of them. They are pivotal for the existence of the band. Taka lead singer Toru guitarist Ryota bass TOMOYA DRUMMER They are amazing musicians, all of them. They all play multiple instruments. And they all sing harmonies. TOMOYA Studios is a great RUclips channel to check out. Welcome to OOR rabit hole ❤❤❤❤
Also, check out their orchestra series (concert). The level of perfection they have to have to play with a 65-member orchestra set the standards, so high!
Tomoya is the BEST. Even though most of their songs are 4/4, he finds SO MANY WAYS to have creative rhythms within it. He's never doing the typical licks. I love this man. Plus he's always having so much fun!
I’m glad you discovered Tomoya and ONE OK ROCK! Tomoya uploads performance videos(演奏)and explanation videos (解説)on his own RUclips channel, “Tomoya Studio.” So please check it out! I also recommend ONE OK ROCK’s latest live video ‘Make It Out Alive [2024 PREMONITION WORLD TOUR in KAOHSIUNG]’
One Ok Rock plays LARGE stadiums in Asia. Their Live concerts sound better than their recordings and their "sound" has evolved over the years they have been together. Check out : ONE OK ROCK - I was King [Official Video from Orchestra Japan Tour].
Tomoya is so so so fun to watch! Very entertaining. I wish they'd do more drum cam videos like this, but unfortunately this is the only one. This video isn't available on DVD, just on their official RUclips channel. Yes, Tomoya does sing background vocals, and sometimes he'll yell too. It's great to hear him show emotion during concerts. Others have already mentioned Tomoya's channel, TOMOYA STUDIO. He uploads a playthrough video and then an explanation of the main points to performing the song. He's so fun to watch. Laughs a lot and it's so infectious. Fyi, Tomoya gave away this drum kit (everything except snare, cymbals, and chair iirc) on Instagram. Basically had people post videos of them drumming and he went through each of them to pick a winner. He ended up picking a high schooler and then went to personally deliver the kit to them. That high schooler had often done drum covers of the band and later used the drum kit in some videos and also at their school festival. Really enjoyed this reaction! Hope to see more content with Tomoya in the future. (If you do upload, please include "ONE OK ROCK" in the title so it'll come up when people search for OOR reactions.) I highly recommend "Jibun ROCK" (じぶんROCK) where Tomoya absolutely goes ham near the end.

@@DrumRoast Tomoya is the best. He has three adorable young boys. He's the papa tomato, along with mama tomato and the three baby tomatoes lol. Very glad to hear you'll be reacting to his channel videos. I implore you to start off with Jibun ROCK! (Video title is "じぶんROCK (ONE OK ROCK) - 演奏".) I think it's one of the best examples of Tomoya's drumming. He uses a DW kit in that video. His current kit is by Drummers Base. If you wanna see him talking about the kit, look for the video "【徹底解説】シン・ドラムセット大解剖!" The video "【徹底解説】シンバル大解剖しました。" is where he explains the different cymbals he uses. The videos are all in Japanese but since you're a drummer yourself, maybe you can figure out some of the stuff by having a close look at them. Also FYI, he uses his own signature model of drum sticks by Wincent. Anyone can buy them.
Omg! First of all, Tomoya is one of the best drummers in the world. What we like about him aside from his technical skills is that he’s a ball of sunshine, he loves everything about life. They will come to São Paulo next April, the venue had to be changed to a bigger one and it's already sold out!) They are fenomenal! Thank you for your reaction to One Ok Rock! Drummer Tomoya was strongly influenced by Will Hunt, the drummer of Evanescence, during their tour with Muse and Evanescence last year, and he seems to have slightly changed his playing style and drum setup. Also, this year he has a new drum set, so I would like to hear your thoughts on that as well!
