    You should make new Xone 92 (or Xone DB series) with touch screen, compressor and other studio items. Or maybe without screen but accesible via iPad or by connecting computer. I dream about DJ mixer with Compressor and other studio set up tools.

      Hi!
      The PEQ section of the Qu series channel processing is mentioned in this video: ruclips.net/video/FdfX2OWymX8/видео.html
      It goes through each control for you and offers some tips to get started. We also have Factory Mic Preset available in the Qu itself which offer starting point suggestions for different microphones and sources.
      To access the presets, navigate to the PEQ screen and press the Fn (Library) key. You can then scroll through the PEQ library for a setting which best describes your source and press recall.
      I hope this helps!

    what do I do if I want the volume from 1 input to be raised or lowered in all monitors using 1 master fader? as it is now, I have to go into each specific input and mix channel to lower, for example, the vocal microphone in all monitors. i use qu-16.

      Hi Ejje,
      Thanks for the message,
      For this, you need to ensure that channel 1 is working post-fade for each of the mix buses.
      Select an aux mix, then press the ‘Pre-fade’ button (console far left) and turn off the Green Sel LED for channel 1.
      You then repeat this process for each of the Aux mixes, and they will all follow the CH1 fader on the main LR mix layer.
      Thanks,
      Luke

    Am considering buying this to use with Cubase 11 Pro but would definitely benefit greatly from a video showing how to use Qu16 or 24 solely in a studio (Cubase) recording and mixing environment as opposed not live. Will be my first time with a digital mixer and therefore have some questions and reservations. Thanks

      Hi Harry,
      We did a live stream on using Qu in the studio not long ago. You can find it here: fb.watch/2knuz3YHnR/
      If you still have any questions, go to support.allen-heath.com to start a ticket and one of the team will be happy to help!

      @@AllenandHeathUK Hi Alex and thanks for the reply.
      I did actually send an enquiry through (sales section) a few days ago on your website. I tried opening a ticket but it was asking for serial number and all details like that which obviously I don't yet have. Anyway I haven't heard back as yet and look forward to their reply.
      May as well ask the question on here perhaps I can be enlightened.....If this is a really stupid question, please forgive me as I have never worked with a Digital mixer before.....
      So then, this scenario,,,,,recording on Cubase 11 Pro in my small home studio. Song recorded and now want to mix down using BOTH Cubase mixer with internal FX, PLUS some channels back into the desk for outside control. Can I route those outside channels (which may be using external FX) back into Cubase so the whole thing is being mastered on my main stereo bus inside Cubase?
      ......As I say this may be such a silly question and obvious to those in the know, but no so obvious to a newby like me.
      I hope I have explained it clearly what I want to do?
      Looking forward to your reply
      Many thanks in advance

    How many watts is the Q 24?

      We cannot recommend a specific UPS, but the Qu-24 draws 120W max (www.allen-heath.com/content/uploads/2023/06/Qu-Mixer-Reference-Guide-AP9372_10.pdf#page=92&zoom=auto,-274,532). Thanks, Keith.

    Thanks for the video. I am looking for a digital live board with recording capabilities. This desk seems to have everything I'm looking for. The only down side is that it seems to only support a MAC based DAW and I'm PC based. I figure I can just use the USB out to record 18 tracks and then import them into Sonar. Can I select which 18 tracks are ported to the USB out? Can I use a combination of mixes and groups as well as individual channels? Thanks!

      Behringer X32 or Midas M32. They have the same usability mode but there are differences in the internal hardware. With Behringer or Midas (behringer has the same price of QU-24) you can do more and more things than QU-24 and you have more channels. In my opinion it is better than Allen&Heath and X32 (or M32) is also more simply to use. Hope to be helpful...

    • @3802541183
      @3802541183 9 лет назад +1

      Daniele Michelotti another thing.... X32 (or M32) works with Mac and PC DAW and, for remote control, works with iOS or Android OS....

    • @theweddingbandni
      @theweddingbandni 9 лет назад +1

      Daniele Michelotti
      No way is an X32 easier to use than a Qu mixer - have you even tried either?
      The difference in sound quality and build quality makes the A&H the winner every time.
      A&H are quality products meant to last, the Behringer will be scrap when the A&H is still going strong.....

    • @3802541183
      @3802541183 9 лет назад +1

      I Have both...About this, I'm according with you! Sound quality and materials are better on A&H! Especially preamplifiers.. I was speaking about flexibility (possibility to change interface cards, expansion etc.) and other function I prefer X32 (M32). But, as you say, for special events where we need quality and precision, no doubt, A&H!!! :)

    Hello, Thanks for your awesome work. I watched your videos and will like to ask you a question. I use a QU32. I sent all 32 channels over USB to my DAW and sent back the processed mix over the same USB to channels 31 and 32.
    These channels were routed to my video switcher on mix 7-8.
    The problem is that my mix 7-8 is also sending the unprocessed sound from all inputs instead of just sending 31 and 32 coming from the DAW. So I have a combination of processed and unprocessed sound coming from 7-8. How can I exclude channels 1 to 30 from mix 7-8?
    Thanks.

      Hi JesusLover1, We have a lot of Qu videos on RUclips, and the Qu is designed to be very simple to use, especially if you come from an analogue background. There is more information on what the Qu series is capable of on our website here (www.allen-heath.com/key-series/qu-series/) but if you have any questions, feel free to send an email to support@allen-heath.com and I'll get back to you. Is Allen Heath using dBFS in metering? I need advice which level is best for gain staging, with faders set to 0- some say I peak at 0, others say -12db.. any standard? Thanks 🙏

    • @AllenandHeathUK
      @AllenandHeathUK  3 года назад

      Hi!
      We have an article which goes through the metering on Qu in detail here: support.allen-heath.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/levels-and-metering-in-qu-and-sq
      There's no real right or wrong when it comes to gain staging, but if you're using a single desk for the house, monitor and live stream mix, I recommend aiming for 0dB on the Qu meter, as this will provide a healthy base for each application.
      Thanks!

      @AllenandHeathUK  7 лет назад

      Hi Henry,
      There are a few ways to do this. If you want to be able to quickly mute/unmute all effects, I would suggest setting up a mute group with the FX sends or returns assigned to it (see page 43 of the manual). You can then use one Softkey to effectively switch the effects on/off.
      Hope this helps! Keith.

    • @AllenandHeathUK

      An input channel can be PAFL'd which routes the audio directly to the headphones. You do not need to send the channel to a mix for this to work.
