ANTV | Case file | According to the indictment, in June 2019 Huy "poisonous mushroom" and Nung were detained in cell number 5, block B, area B of Binh Thuan Police Detention Center. Taking advantage of loopholes in detention management, Huy and Nung rented the cell phone of Vo Ngoc Thien (a prisoner) to contact Hoang, asking to buy iron saw blades to bring to the detention camp. After that, Huy colluded with Nung to take turns sawing the ventilation door in the cell and then climbed the wall to escape from the detention center. Escaping the camp, the two rented a car to Ho Chi Minh City and then went their separate ways. On July 4, 2019, Hoang was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City for drug possession. On July 5, 2019, Huy "Poisonous Mushroom" was arrested in a hotel in Tien Giang province. On July 10, 2019, Nung was arrested while hiding in Lam Dong province.
