    Glad I found your channel!! I am pretty new and been running this from coyote creek in cerritos to seal beach and back. I've seen bikes and fishing buggies on the trail and had to dodge em around those corners but didn't even think to watch for a cart or person under the bridges. Now I know why a lot of riders go over the street. Take care

      @noellaranang6364 there are some great group rides to jump into in the area. Montrose, Bagel Ride, Cow Ride to name a few. We are a dedicated race team, so I currently do not have a social portion of the club.
      I will post some rides that are open to everyone though. Follow me in IG and let me know that you would like to join a ride and I'll send you an invite when appropriate.

      @@afasterme3182 Dawn Champion and Roger EUC. Those are the two channels. I've literally seen her document herself going 52 miles an hour through an underpass at night where the homeless people are hanging out. Those electric unicycles come in at around 90 pounds. Could you imagine hitting a pedestrian who is not paying attention to the trail with a big heavy electric unicycle like that at speed? I sent them a note and told them that I thought it was completely reckless to be doing those kinds of speeds on a public trail like that. Take that kind of speed to Glendora Mountain Road or somewhere up in the mountains but not on that bike path. It really bothers me. Somebody's gonna get hurt.

    Been wanting to try this bike path! I want to do my first century ride before the new year and considering this path starting from Azusa. I am not sure if I missed it in your video, but would you say the route is pretty flat, or is one way or the other uphill/downhill? Also, what time of day was this on Sunday?

    • @afasterme3182
      @afasterme3182  4 месяца назад +1

      @GMCD213 it is super flat. You feel some fatigue on the way back and there are a lot of small ramps once you get past the golf course in Pico.

    What does the zone numbers means

    • @afasterme3182
      @afasterme3182  4 месяца назад +1

      @eyon1189 typically referring to power or heart rate zones. I prioritize power over heart rate, so if I'm speaking of zones, it's referring to power zones.
      Z1 = Recovery/low endurance
      Z2 = Endurance
      Z3 = Tempo/low threshold
      Z4 = Threshold
      Z5 = Vo2
      Z6 = Anaerobic
      In a basic 6 zone system. This is just one system though.

    How much rest you get on the route?.

    • @afasterme3182
      @afasterme3182  4 месяца назад +1

      @hectorleon7162 we normally ride straight out and back. We only stop at the beach to fill water bottles and we will occasionally stop at the golf course in Pico if someone needs the bathroom. Other than that, there is no resting. Resting would defeat the purpose of a long steady state endurance ride.
