based list, thought the new front bottoms album was pretty good, but that's just like my opinion man.
i'd rec The Yuppies are Winning by Harrison Gordon, pretty solid release.
the real question is, will the new frat mouse album end up on the 2024 list?

Hey man, new subscriber here! Great to see your thoughts on these 2023 albums. Trophy Eyes was a big one for me (my number 3 album of the year) so I'm stoked to see it take your top spot. Not sure if you checked out the You Me At Six album released early in the year but I'd highly recommend that. Also, The Maine's latest album is flawless. Gotta also recommend the latest from Holding Absence and a couple lesser known artists that I think would be up your alley: A Story Told and Glowbug. Cheers!

If you’re a fan of Knuckle Puck, then you should check out the 2nd singer, Nick Casasanto’s, solo project “Bad New World”. He debuted his first ep last week, and it’s got some pop punk mixed in with some bedroom pop sounding stuff

Glad I found your channel this year man, the quality and effort you put into your videos is amazing and you get better with each upload. Btw, I found out about Action/Adventure from the video you did on them a little while back and have actually gotten the opportunity to see them TWICE this past year open for bands I like, they killed it both times. I was interning for a local radio station who were conducting interviews with the bands at the second show I saw them play at and I got to chat with their guitar player Brompton briefly before the show. I made sure to plug your channel to him just cause that’s how I found out his band. Keep killing it and happy 2024! 🥂🎉

in my humble non professional opinion i believe the best part about being human should be the “life’s not out to get you” kinda record to pump some energy into pop punk but it be like that sometimes
bearings absolutely slayed that record but im not mad of its its placement, a lot of good releases this year it’s hard to rank stuff as is

    • @PopPunkApologist

I learned about Arms Length last year because of your top list and they were my most listened to band this year, but I dont really agree with your list this year. Rating Origami Angel so low seems off unless you just dont like them in general which is fine. Fiddlehead is so much better than militarie gun who i feel do similar styles but do it so much better. Maybe i just love Pat Flynn. Mostly I thought you did a good job though. Perhaps its a band that youve never checked out but The Gaslight Anthem did a reunion album this year which was pretty dope

Absolutely agree on the most of these, except for my AOTY missing - The Noble Art Of Self Destruction by Holding Absence. That thing broke me into pieces and rebuilt me in just 10 songs. Such a wonderful concept and poetic yet honest lyrics devoid of all cliches. So yeah, I will never stop recommending it.
