Synopsis:
Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shah Rukh Khan) is a rescue pilot with the Indian Air Force. In the line of duty he comes across a stranded Zaara (Preity Zinta)... a girl from Pakistan who has come to India to fulfill her surrogate mothers dying wish. Veer saves her life and his life is never the same again.
Twenty two years later Saamia Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), a Pakistani human rights lawyer on her first case, finds herself face to face with an aging Veer Pratap Singh. He has languished in a Pakistan jail cell for 22 years and has not spoken to anyone all these years. And no one knows why. So I just call him a ghandu and she laughs and he asks what’s so funny and she never tells him what it means haha. And to answer your question idk it’s maybe just who I am. Like I love brown/south Asian culture like from the food to the dancing and music. I like some songs not all because just mainly for the softness in the voices. Like some rap songs they’re not really for me cause they don’t really make it feel like they’re happy about anything. Cause it’s just the same thing usually as American rap. Lata Mangeshkar is by far my mother's favorite singer. We were listening to this song on repeat in her car today and she would not stop tearing up. I must say, she has a very beautiful voice that has never changed through all these decades.
