I don't care who you are, what training you've had, or what person you've trained under... Being able to drum that fast is incredible and they deserve a few claps. *clap clap clap*
Folks really don’t understand the level of SKILL needed to pull that off. That’s not something just anyone can do. That’s not something u just learn in a day or 2. That’s precision. That’s hard work. That is a master at his craft
Awesome Tommy! It seems most of the ones leaving comments on here don't realize how you are also a Great Drummer! I have Nothing but respect for you, I know how much hard work it is to do this. I've done over 1100 before on the Drumometer (Singles) and it took me 2 years to get to that. WFD All The Way!
Dude I got about 1020 when I was in high school at Creative and Performing arts of Philadelphia. But now I’ve slowed down!! Various technique issues and all had me have to relearn my technique all over and since then idk if it’s good or bad but I can’t seem to increase since. But hats off to you my friend! Incredible!
I rarely read comments. I'm sorry I did. Soooo many idiots tearing every little aspect apart about this video. Is he REALLY faster than EVERYONE? Can he keep a groove? Does he DESERVE such a LOFTY title? And so on... Its an entertaining 3 minute video. Check it out. Love it or hate it, stop analizing and criticizing it. Get on with ur life. Do ur OWN thing.
Congratulations, my friend. You have a great gift (your talent), thankyou very much for sharing it us as your successful moments. I think that you are a modest and natural person. Keep it forever.
FutileExistence It's been awhile since I watched the full video. I usually stop right when he does because of the crowd cheer. But I think they say he beat Mangini for the record on this somewhere in there. Maybe Mangini beat that since?
***** Yes, it's about how fast they can go, but it's also about technique and precision. I can type 100 plus words a minute, but it doesn't mean anything if the spelling or grammar is incorrect. Stick heights consistancy has everything to do with, not only this competition but the way a drummer plays "proper" music. One leads to the other.
Well this isn't about that. You're at the wrong video if that's what you're wanting to see. How ever it takes incredible fluidity, technique and consistency to be able to pull something like this off.
It was at an official WFD event, and he held that record for a long time. But recently Mangini wrote to WFD to have that record removed as he felt the singles were too unclean towards the end. That letter is displayed on the official WFD page.

Much appreciated. Glad I glanced down to the comments during the drumming.

I want the crowd cheer as an alarm clock ringtone, so I can always wake up feeling like a winner.

Dude great idea
Congrats you made it to the next day
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not quite my tempo.
Heh don't think anyone gets that
Lol I'm more of a grave person, XD
NOT MY FUCKING TEMPO
*throws drum
I get it because I see it in almost every music video
to the non drummers out there:
this is twice as hard as it sounds. the guy’s doing single strokes.
theres using wrists, then fingers, then push pull for doubles, this is a complex topic
Yep this is no joke 💀 serious stamina
Obviously advanced Parkinson
Liked this comment because it said 100, and i have OCD!

ouch. I wasnt expecting everyone to loose their shit all at once
Dude I laughed so hard at this comment! I was sitting here like.. Wait what? and then they cheered I almost shit myself. Perfect timing.
Country Exactly the same hahaha :')
It looks like hes using his mind to make the sticks go up and down.. His hands are barely moving XD
best comment ever
its like he's having a seizure in his hands
Nope. Just his hands
Everything thing we do is because of our minds. Except rotting. That is because of bacteria and junk.
Your hands don’t move when you 🥁
He did 620 strokes in the first 30 seconds, and finished with 1208 A NEW WORLD RECORD.

This is insane, you can see the focus on the way he is controlling his breathing too, I guess, just amazing!
I suppose you could call that drumming. It's more like vibrating the sticks fast.
Still requires an insane amount of drumming technique and practice. Not to mention the fact that this guy actually is a very talented drummer.
What is drumming other than vibrating sticks and hitting the pedals? Jealousy isn't a good colour on you.
Drumming - its hitting. Pedals, sticks. This is not hit on the video.
MyPathogen actually it's about the dynamics
austinchery well fuckin nobody could

The human vibrator.
+Scott McDonald Yep

Headphones? it just the same on speakers trust me
TimeLapseChannel333 Maybe you had your speakers on maximum.
I'm glad I read that comment.
1:14 legend says that that bottle is still bouncing to this day
Well that was rather anti-climatic
Scott it’s a joke. Drum rolls usually lead to some sort of award or something
Amazing. He sounds like a car engine at idle which makes sense as that's around 1000 rpm
Congrats man! Was really awesome to watch it in person.
Obviously, needs more cowbell.
kikxbulacan yes !!
He looks like the flash vibrating his hand to phase through matter

He looks like he's being tazed by Electro or somebody.

I feel honoured subscribed to the world record holder for fastest single strokes. goodjob!
My ears are loving the silence after this
Thanks for the heads up! :)
My neighbor, experiencing a tough hangover after a heavy party drinking, able to play like this if he had drum sticks in his shaking hands

Good thing I don't turn my volume up massively loud like some people.
ot a problem with people who do that?
Congratulations, my friend. You have a great gift (your talent), thankyou very much for sharing it us as your successful moments. I think that you are a modest and natural person. Keep it forever.

It's about 20 beats per second if anyone is wondering
Um, Mike Mangini has done 1,247
FutileExistence It's been awhile since I watched the full video. I usually stop right when he does because of the crowd cheer. But I think they say he beat Mangini for the record on this somewhere in there. Maybe Mangini beat that since?
Mangini is not even close to the Guinness Book of World Records time of 2109 WFD is a joke m.ruclips.net/video/ZLS2780WbtI/видео.html
Can ever get to that
LOL after he set the record someone threw a water bottle at him
at him ? that dude throw the bottle at the floor and the bottle bounced behind him...
It was still funny tho
that's pretty f*kn rock 'n' roll..

Great job!!!
I was expecting somebody drop a sick beat or some shit, this is just a guy hitting on an plate with two stick... Wtf?
This is not about musicality!
***** the title says worlds fastest drummer, so that is accually about musicality
Worlds fastest drummer is about nothing but how fast a drummer can go. That has nothing to do with beats or music
***** Yes, it's about how fast they can go, but it's also about technique and precision. I can type 100 plus words a minute, but it doesn't mean anything if the spelling or grammar is incorrect. Can you imagine how exhausted the cows would be if he worked on a farm?
I'm pretty sure this guy was also featured on the Safari's single Wipeout.
This video burns my forearms
It's so fast that it's actually one solid note for 60 seconds
literally though lol. It’s a 20Hz pulse wave. With a drastic enough EQ and big enough subwoofers you could actually hear the note
Congrats bro
It was at an official WFD event, and he held that record for a long time. But recently Mangini wrote to WFD to have that record removed as he felt the singles were too unclean towards the end. That letter is displayed on the official WFD page.
Sounds like sour grapes to me. Did his sticks contact the pad? Yep. Should that count? Yep.
Mangini being an utter arsehole shocker.
Congratulations Tom, that's awesome!
wow awesome you can even see his hands vibrating
Teacher: “Drum roll please!”
Him: “You dare awaken me?”
0:13 SLOW IT DOWN, LASS
How do you do that is the drum vibrating by electric ?
YEAH! TORONTO!! Good Job! :)
Amazing you are the best!
Wow dude!! That's awesome!!
I turned up the volume to hear the drum and I was sooo not ready for that cheer I nearly died XD
16th notes per hand at 151 bpm avg for one minute straight. wow
