37:00 if jesus were to be in the grave forever and ever, then he too have sinned and would have failed in his mission and the rest of humanity will forever be condemned. he died sinless because he willed himself not to sin as the consequence is the condemnation of all creation. no. failure was not an option for him. he connected himself with the father daily and intensely so he will never fall into temptation, much less sin against his father.
36:20 jesus prophesied his resurrection. he knew he will be resurrected. at the cross, he said it is finished. he knew he had accomplished perfectly the task he came to earth for. his exclamation of "my god...forsaken me" was just to proclaim and confirm that psalm 22 prophecy of this event.
If christ is the only person that we need to take away our sins. Then why not also right to allow sunday worshipers to do so. And be forgiven from not keeping sabbath law. All they need is jesus. From uganadn SDA. THANKS
35:49 yes, the wages of sin is eternal death. all saved until jesus comes physically died. death is a separation like separation from sin is "dying to sin." eternal death is merely a separation from god. but we who accept the salvation offered by our lord are resurrected to a new life at baptism (romans 6:3-4).
