One tip I heard years ago to help slice meat super thin is to let it freeze just slightly so that the meat is firm when you cut it. It really helps when I remember to do it. 😁
Good afternoon….sweet sister…..I’m so glad I found you on here. I watch when I can. I’m so busy…..I love you! You are a treasure. Blessings…been praying and singing for the Lord to let it rain. Amen.
I wish our Brookshire's had sales like yours. They are the highest store in town even with stuff on sale. But will watch for the other stores sales and try to get some things for my pups and kit-kats. Glad you showed us something we can make for them. I feed my animals morning and evening then the dogs get a bedtime treat. This would be great. Thanks again and I'll check out the other channel as well. Jesus bless.
When I make chicken dog treats I marinade the chicken strips in a 3% saline and sugar solution to act as a preservative, and put the turmeric in it so that it distributes more evenly. I have also seen places that do this commercially use vinegar, saying that it helps even out the drying and color, though I've not yet tried that. It works out to be about 1/6th the price of the store bought stuff, and there are not the same long list of strange chemicals in my dogs food this way. A labor of love. one final note; 165 is the instant kill temperature for common pathogens in chicken and other meats and veggies. At 145 the same log kill rate takes just under ten minutes, so one does not need to keep to the much spread temperature gospel of 165/167. It actually shortens the time to drying at 145 due to less tendency to case harden the outside. FYI.
Lol lol lol my dog came up and started watching this on my iPad. I said, “ look what they’re eating” 😂 He looked at me like where is mine? I give my little boy 3-4 every morning. He’s so spoiled. ❤❤❤
I love the Brookshire’s brothers business model. they support communities and Church events! Happy to see that, unlike some major supermarkets. Wish I could shop there much more.. I get to come home sometimes but not so often.
I make a ton of chicken jerky for my baby every week. Every time I find some chicken breast on sale I throw it in the freezer. Take it out and before it’s thawed and still mostly frozen, I sharpen my knifes and slice them thin and throw them in the dehydrator. They turn out perfect every time and I have an old dehydrator. I love the idea of adding turmeric. I’ll try that next week. ❤ I give my baby sardines and omega 3’s for his joints.
@@ntxg - the vet said he needed surgery 2 years ago and that he still wouldn’t be 100%. I said no! Not only did his lame leg get better, he’s running, jumping and playing like he’s never had a bad leg and he was having trouble with both back legs. I took him off all “dog food” it’s poison. He eats what momma eats…without the seasoning. ❤️❤️
Jill I pray everyday for relief for our families...this summer heat is intense. I've started to notice more and more of our neighbors setup solar as of late. We've been luck that last few years our power hasn't gone out because the power grid also runs to several emergency care facilities and a hospital but who's to say when our luck will run out. I've started looking into a generator for our house that runs off of natural gas and propane. My plan it setup a gen that provides enough power for some of our appliances including a mini split aircon.
hmmmm;;;;lol;;;that brings back memories;;;;back on the farm we made jerky;;;beef jerky deer jerky and chicken jerkey;;;occasionally goat or lamb jerky if it was the right time of the year for making jerky;;;lol;;had no electric dehydrator;;;metal hooks on cedar staves to hang from ceiling of smoke house;;;also made sausage;;;smoked and froze in lard or dried;;;this was all done in the cold months;;;lived about 7 miles from Luchenback where we got out mail;;; that was before Willy made it famous for party goers;;;lol;;;;I really think you have some super spoiled doggies;;;lol;;;;

❤️❤️❤️
Hey Jill we are going to make some this coming weekend. God bless, Mike.
I find it's easier slicing chicken thin is semi freezing it first.
Hello Jill, I am going to have to try this for my Shepherds!! Thank you. Please share more on your dog food that you make.
Hi Sweets, I did a video last week.
I make these for my 2 dogs every month. They love them
Liver biscotti is cheap and easy. I use liver turnip carrots whole wheat flour.
Mr Hank is no dummy! Love this Jill. Used to make liver treats when I had my dogs, they loved them!
Well, I see you have a few SRD's. I have one SRD and he is also a juvenile delinquent. LOL (Spoiled Rotten Dog) Great video!! ❤
Love it!❤

Biggest one you can find for freezer fridge or small a/c pulls big amps to start compressors
NICE! 😁
Do you ever come across Pecos cantaloupes. All my family is from the great state of Texas. I can't find seed's. Love your channel.
No but I hear they are quite popular.....
