So far, thanks to you, I've been able to rebuild my carb on my GT200, change my rear brakes and change the rear shocks, since things were already taken apart, and get everything running correctly. I've met you a couple of times in San Diego and you have always been really friendly and helpful. Your videos are very much appreciated and make it easy to work on these machines. THANK YOU!!!! can't say it enough.
Thanks to Mr Robot, i have rebuilt my old trusty Et4 125 1998 old engine model. You are a gem! Your channel is my go to source for all my Vespa issues!
Great video, as always. One thing to keep in mind is that if you own anything that's carbureted (i.e., motorcycle, scooters, lawn mower, etc), using ETHANOL FREE FUEL really helps to eliminated any issues with a Carburetor.
Super helpful video! Couple things I learned that can be helpful. 1. Make sure the diaphragm spring is in correctly as it tends to want to go off center and bind. If it's wrong your acceleration will be poor (like a torn diaphragm) since the slide won't be able to raise up very far as the spring binds up which won't allow the metering needle to work properly. 2. As Robot says if you have a drill with an impact setting it can be very helpful with removing the easy to strip screws on float bowl and diaphragm housings. I just set it to the lowest impact setting and then it easily freed the screws in a couple of seconds.
You rock Robot! Thanks to all your vids I've got three lx150 on the road running. I was able to get a gy6 carb to work but the Keihin is the way to go.
Any chance you have a old original LX150 carb? Im on here looking how to fix or adjust mine when I read your comment. I would love to buy a old original carb for parts if you have one laying around :D
Thks four your excellent video I have a Vespa Lx 50 my carburetor drope a little petrol from the bolw if I remove the carburetor to change the tray is not out of tune
Your videos are amazing! I have a 2006 LX150 that recently started stalling on rides. I followed the instructions in this video to do a carb clean; even ordering all the parts from Scooter West. The scooter starts and runs smoothly now, but it won't accelerate over 30 mph now. Is there something in the carb rebuilt I did or didn't do that may be the cause of this, or do you think this is a symptom of a new issue. I've done carb rebuilds in the past, but only on small engines (lawn mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, etc). This is my first on a scooter. I realize my scooter is 18 years old, but I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction to solve this problem.
Wait with the section where you pulled out a little piece with your wooden Q-tip, you said you were going to tell us that orientation and how to put it back in, but it wasn’t part of the video,! Mine fell out and I don’t know how to put it back in😅
Hey Robot i have a 2002 piaggio liberty 150cc engine number m221m . I think is a leader engine (new zealand new) which i am rebuilding ,is this carb similar to the one i have (looks similar) and do you stock the oem carburetor? Thanks keep the videos coming very helpful
Hello mr Robot , I’m following your videos for a while now , and today a problem occurred on my Vespa 300 gts hpe 2020 notte (6000km) that I can't solve ; My vespa was working perfectly well, after a stop I wanted to restart ... impossible, the starter works the engine too but does not engage, it is not powered, no spark at the spark plug even after changing it After a check to the odb tag nothing to report. Something is blocking the ignition I have only the blue key and not the red/violet one Is it a problem of anti-theft key or electronic blocking? Have you already encountered this problem? Do you have an idea ? I from France and you are the only person with videos explaining the breakdowns and mechanics vespa ! Thank’s you 🙏🙏
@@gilgutenberg5733merci pour votre réponse mais malheureusement après vérification ce n’est pas ça il semblerait que c’est du à la clef rouge que je n’ai pas et qui est nécessaire pour réinitialiser le scooter , qui est en blocage électronique
HELP PLEASE!! My LX150 was running just fine and now after putting gas in it it doesnt run good at all. It bogs out when I try to give it gas, anyone know what I should be looking for? This is 2006 but only has 1400 original miles on it. It looks brand new! Was a great find on craigs list but I think I broke my new toy :( help please someone. I am a girl if that helps, single even LOL sad but true.

Thank you for awesome video! Mr. Robot
nice video, suprised you didn't show cleaning the body, spraying out ports. and also assembling float with needle.

Did you figure this out?? I had the same issue 😅
Does anyone have an answer here? My scoot is running rough and that little piece is missing. Would this cause a problem?
Excellent 👍

Vérifier que le fil de la bougie est bien « emboîté » (connecté) sur la bougie. (C'est un problème courant.) Si ce n'est pas ça, je ne sais pas...

Hi Robot, how do I convert a 2010 GTS 300 to run with a carburetor??

Shit, my '06 runs like a swiss watch!
Thank you
JIS screwdiver.
One of the most over complicated carbs for such a small bike, diaphragm tech is always problematic I wish they had just fitted it with cable slide
