We have done that now with 6 businesses in the last year. We do our analysis on a proprietary system, that enables us to quickly go in, analyze large data in 48 hrs, make an offer based on our valuation methods and give succession to the owner. Untapped market to drive fast through this sector. We can make the changes required in 90 days and our plan os to double MRR within 180 days.
11:45 “You want to work with me because I don’t have to do cutthroat things…” Right after describing a plan to replace the entire local staff with AI technology? Hard to believe that PE could be any more cutthroat.
Your Marxist programming has trained you to think that efficiency is cutthroat.
However, other people figuring out how to produce more with less forms the basis of the prosperity of your existence.
The fundamental purpose of an entrepreneur is to produce offerings that benefit other people and to do so at greater and greater efficiency, requiring less energy and less people and less man hours.
The opposite of that is we all work on the farm again.
A16Z has several chats similar to this one around startups disrupting with AI. All of them are disrupting labor. This isn’t a PE play, it’s just an AI play
@@carl3063What difference does it make when you’re the worker going home?
I covered TYL, SSNC, CSGP and many other vertical Software cos and also ran M&A at what was then Solera Holdings (this a decade ago). The pursuit of advanced automation via ML and deep learning was in its infancy back then. I am hopeful that the combination of vertical-specific LLMs in conjunction with blockchain networks (think smart contracts as an example), will soon replace the waste associated with legacy systems and processes with convenience and operating leverage.
2:48 - what is private equity
I am building such a consulting firm focusing on operational efficiency by automating processes, organic growth and knowledge management
Rollup rollup who is next?
This is tech disruption at it’s finest. A16z has played quite the role in backing exciting new startups
