Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival’s signature First Edition book launch presents ‘Still Lives’ by Reshma Ruia.
‘Still Lives' is a tightly woven, haunting work that pulls apart the threads of a family and plays with notions of identity. A new novel from an award-winning writer and poet, this is a moving tale about love, betrayal and belonging, shortlisted in manuscript form for the SI Leeds Literary Prize. The launch features Ruia in conversation with Bee Rowlatt. It has been launched by celebrated writer Amish.
Reshma Ruia is a British Indian writer. Her first novel, Something Black in the Lentil Soup, was described in the Sunday Times as ‘a gem of straight-faced comedy’. She has published a poetry collection, A Dinner Party in the Home Counties, winner of the 2019 Word Masala Award and a short story collection, Mrs Pinto Drives to Happiness, shortlisted for the 2022 Eastern Eye ACTA Awards. Her new novel, Still Lives, was awarded the 2023 Diverse Books Readers’ Choice Award and selected for the 2023 Peoples Book Prize.
