Ilhoon and his poetic lyrics is up there! Someone who listens to it should have understand in in a deep manner. And my fave line in She's Gone was the 'index finger folded peace sign'. I remember i did it through action just to understand that it actually and safely sensor 'FUCK YOU'🤣.and his album concept (or how to name it) i think is genius like the letter S in She's Gone was actually a BROKEN HEART.
Yes, you are correct in that “Come With The Wind” was Sungjae’s title track for the album he released in March 2020 and he enlisted in May 2020. My first thought after watching his MV the first time was “he is enlisting soon” although news of his enlistment didn’t drop until early May 2020. Both Hyunsik & Sungjae auditioned for the military band in January 2020 and then again in March/April 2020. The accepted candidates were not notified until April 30, 2020 with the enlistment date of May 11, 2020. Pentagon’s Jinho, BTOB’s Hyunsik & Sungjae, and two other idols (don’t remember who exactly) all enlisted on May 11, 2020 into the military band. Sungjae dropped his news on May 2 (his birthday), Jinho on May 4, and Hyunsik on May 7…there were a lot of upset fans over the lack of notice but I was like…wasn’t it obvious from his song?
I terribly miss Ilhoon's color in BTOB's songs/albums... I miss his poetic lyrics. His word plays. His playful and sentimental sound especially in BROTHER ACT... 😢
Ilhoon’s “She’s gone” is so cool! Hyunsik’s “Dear love” and “If I hug you” are two wonderful ballads! Huta’s “Tonight’s (with Melody)” is one of my favorite Kpop songs. We could interpret “for now” as in “for the present time” or “right now” or “she’s gone as of now”. This could be all down to just word choice to fit the song or even just a different interpretation of English words by Ilhoon. It could be like how Koreans use the English word “high”. We use it as a meaning for drug intoxication but they use it more like “hyper”. I hope this makes sense.
